Squid Baby.
What in the world were the creators thinking when they made this?!
The episode starts off with Spongebob and Patrick playing with baby toys.
This is a problem.
So...if Spongebob is "working" at the Krusty Krab, that should technically mean that he's either a teen or an adult in this. Same with Patrick...and instead, we're seeing them with a box filled with baby items. Starts off with rattles, plushies, pacifiers...you get the picture. And then...for some reason, both Spongebob and Patrick 'act' like babies. Can this episode get any further downhill than this?!
Actually...it did.
So...Squidward trips up on one of the toys, landing on the jumperoo...only to have his head smacked right onto the mailbox.
Okay...I can feel a bunch of viewers facepalming at this...but Squidward...is still in his somehow adult-like body...and is wearing a diaper. Does this, in similar context remind anyone of Money Talks where Mr. Krabs, Spongebob and Patrick were wearing diapers and princess outfits?
Like...what kind of target audience are they really trying to lure this episode into???
Jeez...and I thought Ted Post's 1973 movie The Baby would have been more disturbing than this. On a cartoon...that is meant for kids...
As Double D from Ed, Edd n Eddy would say. "That's...disturbing."
So...consider Squid Baby a "fetish" episode...and one that should be deleted from the watch list...
License to Milkshake was a cool episode...but pairs with a downright disturbing one. Not the best double episode combination to look at.
