Brittany Williams is living the dream! The Detroit-based woman bears such a crazy resemblance to Beyoncé that fans are constantly asking her for photos. Brittany has over 50K followers on Instagram, and she recently told the Daily Mail that she was once chased down for a photo. "A group of women once chased me and my friend to our car and began singing 'Single Ladies,' beating my friend's car with the heels of their shoes until we rolled down the window and took a picture with them," she recalled. "Most people are generally friendly though and just want a picture, they often say I look like a younger version of Beyoncé." Between their similar eyebrows, hair parted down the middle, and even their passions, these two women could easily pass as sisters. Brittany admitted that the comparisons used to bother her (*gasp*), but now she's embraced the huge compliment.

Now that Halloween season is over, it feels a little empty playing eerie soundtracks and revisiting favorite nightmares. The atmosphere just isn't quite there. But that's easily fixed, and few things build atmosphere more deftly than music. I've spent improper amounts of time trying to find artists who evoke the spirit of horror and Gothic fiction, but since music isn't a narrative genre by definition, it can be a nebulous process. Some musicians just go perfectly with certain storytellers, though. Here are five performers who complement a few of my favorite authors scarily well:
Clive Barker and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Both hailing from England and rising to fame in the same decade, Barker and Cave seem like a duo destined for emotional evisceration. Barker’s stories evoke an urban landscape that's gritty and hard, but also full of transcendent wonder. His language is high, poetic, and epic...

Miley Cyrus has only confirmed that one of the songs off of her new album is about fiancé Liam Hemsworth – but does art imitate life on some of the other tracks?
Younger Now – which was released on Friday – includes 11 tracks, seven of which were penned by Cyrus. The other songs Cyrus co-wrote with producer Oren Yoel, save for a fun collaboration with her godmother Dolly Parton called “Rainbowland.”
While Cyrus, 24, touches on a variety of topics across the album, relationship highs – and lows – come into play often. Here’s breakdown of the lyrics to seem to hint at her rekindled romance with Hemsworth.

Set in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo - a country which has seen a lot of strife in its recent history - Félicité is the new film from Alain Gomis, a French director of Guinea-Bissauan and Senegalese descent. It tells the story of its eponymous heroine, a singer trying to put a life together and barely making it work. The first few scenes establishes Félicité’s daily grind. She sings nights in a makeshift bar, comes home to tiny place. Her fridge is not working, she needs someone to fix it. Yet money is scarce so she has to make do with a local guy who’s obviously not the right person for the job.

Turns out she's got one under her belt called "Candy Pop" that she created with Las Vegas-based producer Smitty the Great and his writing team.

Halfway through Chris Moukarbel’s documentary “Gaga: Five Foot Two,” Lady Gaga sits at a piano in the Rainbow Room at a tribute to Tony Bennett. She sings what is still her best song, “Bad Romance,” belting it out slowly and with feeling while Bennett looks on approvingly. Her talent is clear, but her neediness is even clearer. Director Moukarbel (“Me at the Zoo”) has edited this movie, which charts the lead-up to Gaga’s performance at the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show, to make it look like she spends most of her time either in tears or on the verge.

It's now obvious Taylor Swift's been sharpening her lyrical knives during her hiatus -- she whipped 'em out for Katy Perry And Kanye West in her new track, "Look What You Made Me Do." Tay Tay just dropped a music video for the track, and the lyrics leave no doubt who she's attacking. She sings, "I don't like your little games ... don't like your tilted stage" in the opening verse -- a clear reference to Kanye's last tour.

Allow RaeLynn to reintroduce herself.
It's been more than five years since the country darling first caught Blake Shelton's ear with her Pistol Annies-inspired blind audition on The Voice's second season. The ladies of Saturday Night Live along with host Emma Stone served up a completely relatable tune about the peril of swapping holiday gifts with casual acquaintances and the one item that always fills the void: a candle.
In the style of a ’90s music video, the SNL cast chronicled the journey of a peach-scented candle as it changes hands from one struggling gift giver to another.
But Aidy Bryant also gives a warning not to undermine the value of the present by pairing it with another little goody.

If you’ve watched TV in the past 10 years, chances are you know Bear McCreary’s music. He’s become one of the most (if not the most) sought-after and prolific composers in television, ever since he came into his own writing the boundary-pushing score for the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series. He counts The Walking Dead, Outlander, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. among his credits. And this March theater-goers got to experience his music with a big screen presentation; he composed the chilling and thrilling score for J.J. Abrams’ 10 Cloverfield Lane. Today McCreary is juggling so many projects that he can’t count all his current TV shows and movies and video games — “I can’t even tell. I honestly don’t even know,” how many projects he’s in the midst of, he said during an interview at Cafe Laurent in Culver City, CA. The...
