Spoilers : border collie is ill as shown by limp, daughter chooses to shoot dog rather than have father do it... stands " bravely " in front of pet as father raises his rifle...that's it...the worst type of cinema is killing an animal just to get viewer attention...anyway I bet the dog would have wanted to stay alive...did not look that ill to me

Except the photography and the dog in a not comfortable situation and the tree, nothing can be defined as significant in this short film. First, the landscape reminds the cinematography of Andrei Tarkovski. But it is only an impression. Second you hope a story about a father and his daughter or, maybe, a sacrifice for noble cause. Wrong ! Finally, you discover the real story . Who has all chances to be a profound touching one. It is not. And that is all. No emotion, no story - the dog seems so healthy
