The 22nd Critics’ Choice Award is less than a month away. We may be enjoying the shiny new TV season, and while it may seem all fun and new, critics are all to ready to begin awarding some honors. The Broadcast Television Journalists Association have officially announced, via Entertainment Weekly, the TV nominees.
Leading the pack with six nominations is The People v. O.J. Simpson, not a huge surprise given its subject matter and solid execution. Also of note are the sheer number of nominations that HBO has under its belt this year — 22 in total. Noticeably absent are this year’s Netflix Marvel shows. Despite being great TV, it still seems like critics are unwilling to give comic book adaptations their fair shake come awards season.
Oh well. Better luck next year, I suppose? The film nominations will be announced on December 1, 2016.

Since RuPaul is involved, I’ll be recapping the Skin Wars season 2 premiere. I watched Skin Wars last season and it was ok. Like most of the reality shows I watch, I enjoy seeing people with a skill set I completely do Not have compete. My one disappointment last season was seeing a lot of what looked like collages painted on people. It just wasn’t my thing. I preferred the body art where the models blended into the background. What I did enjoy about Skin Wars were the names of some of the contestants. Gear Boxxx. Mythica Von Griffyn. Dutch … Continue reading →

That's one sexy tiger! Rebecca Romijn bares her bod for a new teaser for the second season of Gsn's body-painting reality competition, "Skin Wars," where she shows off her killer curves with some strategically-placed tiger stripes. In the new promo, the sexy supermodel leaves little to the imagination as she slithers around the jungle in orange, white and black body paint. The "X-Men" star was the first swimsuit model to grace the pages of Sports Illustrated in the nude, wearing only a body painted bikini. Her role as Mystique also required similar makeup ... and, we have to say, the 43-year-old mother-of-two looks just as good in the buff now! "For me, it was kind of like back in the saddle again," Romijn told People of her revealing shoot. "The craziest thing about being painted is that you really don't feel naked. You feel very, very covered up." Even though she's comfortable with her bod,...
