Better than last years THOH episode but it's not the most ultimate yet.
Theraxorterminate4 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Last years Treehouse Of Horror was a big disappointment, it didn't feel like true horror the Simpsons used to deliver back in the golden years. The only thing that had to do with horror (and the most interesting) was the amazing intro by Guillermo Del Toro. The including shorts were pretty pointless and not terrifying at all (if you know what I mean). Now don't get me wrong I still enjoy the THOH episodes like everyone else does but that has got to be the most disappointing episodes that year.

This year this THOH actually was pretty good and finally took some materials that fitted pretty well to the Halloween days. But even though this worked alright it still isn't the most terrifying episode so far for those who haven't seen it yet but the good news is that the first two takes well on the theme of horror well not so much of the third.

School is Hell 7.5/10 It feels like it's been an eternity to wait for an episode like this, it simply showed the other side of Hell of the world were those who work at the planning sins. It was pretty fun to watch and sort of reminded me on a school work when we were supposed to come up with our own punishments and sins but this was much a bigger experience.

A Clockwork Yellow 8/10 I actually enjoyed this spoof of Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange it gave an amazing presentation presentation to the characters and the relationships between Homer, Lenny, Carl and Moe (or Boe as he is called in this segment). Every second was just interesting to follow, but I especially enjoyed the moment where many of the different Kubrick films arrived in one scene.

The Others 4/10 To be honest I expected more to this segment since we were going to see the first generation of the Simpsons once again. But the whole segment felt only about the subject of death and become into ghosts which wasn't such a remarkable idea IMO. Though I liked it's last seconds were we got to see the Simpsons in many different forms from other TV shows or series and even they're previous forms. Although it wasn't God-awful but it really could have been something more.

Should you really see it? Well if you ask me it worked pretty well, but it's definitely not the strongest THOH episode so far but at least I'm happy it overcome from the laziness of the previous THOH.

Without a Doubt One of the Best Treehouse of Horrors in Years,
lesleyharris3028 November 2014
Treehouse of Horror 25 is a fantastic Simpsons episode with three very well written segments that can easily be compared to the Halloween specials of the earlier seasons and i'm not exaggerating when I say that. The opening was a funny parody of several celebrities but it wasn't anything too special, followed by the School is Hell segment, which was very funny but it made me feel like it was going to be another average Halloween episode as it wasn't anything too special. However, the following two segments are what made this episode so outstanding,A Clockwork Yellow is a very loving tribute to A Clockwork Orange as well as several other Stanley Kubrick classics,as well as a hilarious scene parodying the fussy director himself. This part was without a doubt my favourite because you could tell from the way it was written that the writers really loved this film and they were parodying it truly because they were fans and not because its popular, which is how I felt about several of their parodies, such as the Transformers and Twilight ones. The final segment was without a doubt an unforgetful five minutes,it feels like a crossover even though we are really just seeing the Simpsons of today meeting the Tracey Ulman show versions. It was such a treat to watch all these ten characters together and see how much they have changed in personality, voice and drawing over the years.Treehouse of Horror 25 is one of the best Halloween specials they've ever done and one of the best episodes in years, all three segments were fresh, funny and original.

Bart starts attending a school in Hell,Moe,Homer,Lenny and Carl start causing crime as a group through Springfield and the Simpsons are haunted by some very familiar ghosts.

A Clockwork Parody That Will Satisfy Clockwork Fans!
babyfir7715 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This review will disregard the opening and closing stories. I love Clockwork Orange (though not a ten for me, strong nine). This parody was brilliant! Using some of the same musical score as the film and just enough tweaks to follow the storyline in the short time to fill a third of a Simpsons' episode.

Moe as the leader, not bad! Great references of the eye clamps and the fast motion action in tune with the William Tell Overture (and the latter is definitely not sexual).

I will submit a notation on the Clockwork Orange IMDb page to lead fans to this clever episode!

Nice reference of Kubrick. I wonder what Malcolm McDowell thinks of this episode?

Enough of Moe!

Warning: Spoilers
While last ýear's Treehouse stand out only because of its opening, not offering anything memorable. It's good to see This new special has been focused on the shorts... The problem it's still the same: just one writer for all three shorts, instead of one writer per short (as in the good years). So, let's check the shorts

Fist one: Good, funny, original... Still not as horror focused as previous shorts, but nice try.

The second one: If you are going to parody one of the literary and movie masterpieces in history, you need to be extremely funny... This ones is not...just a bunch of visual gags in a non-sensical plot... and Moe... Why it has to be Moe?...I'm sick of Moe in ToH... Use another character, for Christ,s sake... I know he is popular...well I suppose he is popular, but, c'mon, just imagine if they have used Ned, or Wiggum...you even can use Reverend Lovejoy, just for the quick shocking moment in the beginning "hey its Lovejoy, that's odd"..

The third one: After the big announcement for this year's ToH was the meeting of "old" Simpsons with "actual" Simpsons, you would expect something memorable...and it was...for about 10 seconds... then something silly...then epic for the last minute...

So, It's not a bad Simpsons Halloween Special...but we are still far from greatness

What a masterpiece from 2014
arielsiere4 July 2022
The first segment School Is Hell after Bart and Liss go to another dimension which is hell, the second segment A Clockwork Yellow which is a common reference to A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, Full Metal Jacket and 2001 A Space Odyssey and the final segment called The Others which is a common reference to The 2001 movie of the same title after the normal Simpsons meet their 1987 counterparts also known as the Tracey Ullman and we mert different versions of them such as South Park, Archer, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Attack On Titan, Pokemon, Adventure Time, Lego, the animal versions of them and even Despicable Me.
