The producers should have taken a closer look at "The Science of Stupid", the Brit version of this fails conglomeration. It was hosted for 4 seasons by Richard Hammond, a soft voiced, (smiling-on-demand-not-as-a-bad-habit) Brit favourite. Besides having a top quality commentator, it didn't belabour the point by showing each fail multiple times. It also explained why the fails occurred, showing the right and the wrong way to do things. A much classier programme altogether, and well worth a trip to YouTube to check out how a fails programme can be run without failing!

super annoying announcer

its basically like watching fail videos on YouTube, which is kinda entertaining on its own except the REALLY annoying Bob Sagat/funniest home videos guy TOTALLY ruins it. Between the not-so-punny jokes, the unnecessarily added (and not at all funny) sound effects, and the repeat-repeat- repeat of the same clip over and over (for what I'm assuming network-executives believe to be added value) this show IS a fail video. Not just a fail video, but a fail show.

To fix this show they could do 1 of 2 things: 1) Fire the host. This would not only save cash but it would boost the ratings. GUARANTEED. 2) Get a better (actual comedian) host. I mean I'm not expecting Louis CK, but Someone! Anyone! I mean a guy poops himself in one of the clips. That's totally setting up any half-way talented comedian, but what does the host do? he just keeps talking about adult diapers. 3 jokes about adult diapers. I mean a little creativity would go A LONG way.

Narrator totally ruins it
sorensonbrady22 September 2015
I went into watching this thinking it was gonna be really entertaining, because shows like Tosh.0 and Ridiculousness are hilarious because I love watching fails

What Went Down is SORT OF like those shows, except the narrator is INSANELY annoying. He makes terrible puns throughout the entire episode, constantly cuts back to other clips that they showed earlier that have lost their humor because they show it so much, and makes really stupid jokes the entire time, a lot of which aren't really even relevant to the clip being shown

Plus he does all of this while talking over the good parts of the clips, like when the guys' friends that got hurt are laughing their asses off and the guy that got hurt is screaming, which is one of my favorite parts

While I really dislike the narrator, I do enjoy the clips they show, so I've got to give them that. If the narrator wouldn't talk as much as he does, then this would be a pretty watchable show

My husband thinks the narrator is HILARIOUS

I made an account specifically to give the narrator some credit.I know these other reviewers think the narrator ruins the show, but....I'm not a really big fan of these kinds of shows, but my husband loves it, and thinks it's better than all of those other clip shows because the guy is so funny. He's watching it right now and keeps pausing it to make sure I heard what the guy said, Because I'm not really watching. And I think the narrator is actually pretty funny, too. No, it's not like some high-brow, super smart humor, but it is pretty cute and funny. And both my husband and I like that there are some clips that show people actually being awesome and doing a great job. So, anyway, regarding the narrator, to each his own.

Basic fail clips with good stupid narrating
gil-roitto12 December 2015
Despite Youtube there is obviously room for these fail clip shows. I have to admit I get stuck on them when I do some too-tired-to-do-anything-useful aimless TV channel flicking.

What Went Down has some decent mix of good and medium clips. However the narrator is really funny, at least if you are stoned or open-minded, maybe not if you are looking for some intelligence. Stupid TV - in a good way.

"This is probably the single most single guy in the world" - about a bearded guy juggling with his cat trying to catch the balls. Not the greatest punch-lines ever, but delivered in a distanced manner. It works haters.
