The first match is Shawn Michaels versus Leif Cassidy, which is pretty good. Hunter Hearst Helmsley faces Aldo Montoya in a nothing match. Goldust cuts a promo on Roddy Piper. Mankind is debuting next week! Vince McMahon interviews Paul Bearer and the Undertaker. Owen Hart faces Ahmed Johnson in a bad match. We see a Bret Hart music video. Not such a good episode.

Leif Cassidy (W/Marty Janetty) Vs Shawn Michaels (W/Jose Lothario)
Cassidy is Al Snow. HBK comes out with a "kliq" cam because San Antonio is Shawn's hometown. Bret Hart comes out for commentary during the match. Marty Janetty trips up Shawn Michaels from the outside. Bret stops Marty from interfering any further, allowing Shawn to superkick Cassidy for the win. Shawn and Bret argue after the match.

Thoughts: The match was actually somewhat fun at times, if a little sloppy. There were a couple of times Shawn and Al Snow botched some key spots. The effort was there, though. I also enjoyed Bret on commentary and Marty Janetty being out there.
Aldo Montoya Vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Hunter wins with a pedigree. This was a glorified squash match, but one of the better ones. It helps that Montoya got in some convincing offense.

Goldust fondles a mannequin with a Piper t-shirt, then destroys it to send a message to Piper.
The Undertaker and Paul Bearer come out for an interview. Taker asks his creatures of the night if they are ready for the feast that awaits them at Wrestlemania. Taker says he's no longer content with just beating and humiliating Diesel. Diesel is gonna rest in peace.
Thoughts: This was a basic promo from The Undertaker. It was short and to the point.
We get another clip of Shawn training in Mexico. Shawn promises Lothario he'll win the WWF title at Wrestlemania. Bret says he knew 3 or 4 years ago that Shawn would be in this position. Bret says he really looked up to Randy Savage, but Bret feels he surpassed him. He says the reason Shawn came up short before in title matches is because Shawn gets overconfident and irrational. He says Shawn's gonna make mistakes and Bret's gonna capitalize on them. Bret says it isn't a popularity contest, it's about who is the best.
Thoughts: More good stuff from these two. Back then, I would have sided with Bret.
Owen Hart (W/Jim Cornette) Vs Ahmed Johnson
Ahmed wins by DQ after interference from The British Bulldog. Vader, Owen Hart, and The British Bulldog attack Ahmed Johnson after the match until Jake Roberts and Yokozuna make the save. Ahmed was still really raw at this juncture. It's easier to tell when he's up against somebody phenomenal in the ring like Owen Hart.

We get an awesome music video tribute to Bret Hart. The song is called "You Start the Fire"
