Ordinary Jump Out of the Shadows Feature
Hitchcoc2 May 2019
There is nothing wrong with this short feature. It is a typical formula. Some poor woman returns to her former home and searches a room where there are toys and keepsakes. She opens a series of cylindrical notes. Of course, at some point she is going to pay a price for her curiosity. She is also alone and hence a potential defenseless victim.

Anxiety Inducing
SyoKennex2 December 2017
I always expect good scares from horror shorts; the directors usually have a very good idea on how to build up the tension quickly, to bring about anxiety in quick ways that makes your skin crawl.

Mr. Creak is a 2015 short horror film about a woman who visits her old childhood home, only to find a monster she thought was long gone is still lurking in the shadows; and it does just that. Only three minutes and thirty five seconds long, I found myself frozen in terror watching YouTube. I felt like I could not move away from my screen, I could not look away. I could barely even blink. Liam Banks does absolutely wonders in this that really made my stomach flip, and anxiety to build in my stomach, only to crawl up the base of my spine and paralyse me.

Even writing this review, an hour later, I'm still shaking slightly. Definitely don't watch this in the dark, that was a mistake. Absolutely amazing, definitely one of my favourite horror shorts.

the return

The clash of the past. and the result . a simple idea. a good film, first for cinematography, than for the small tools - the voice of Penelope, the shadows of room, the terror almost material. because you know the end from the first scene. from the open of the door of small house and from the first word readed by the woman. and the heart of tension is yours childhood fears. so, "Mr Creak".
