This show, which has its roots in the Boulet Brothers' live club circuit horror drag shows, is a refreshing binge. I don't actually like horror, and slash movies freak me out. I'm a huge fan of (the now mainstream) Rupaul's Drag Race - I can literally quote every line, but after 9 seasons of over production I was very ready for something new. Especially because in my hometown drag is way more creative. Where are the bearded queens? Where are the drag kings? Not on Drag Race sadly. In comes Dragula, which had me watch with my mouth and eyes wide open, even when I didn't want to.

This first season struck like a blood bomb and there will hopefully be more in the future. The production value is moderate with good visuals but bad audio here and there. If you're looking for an unpolished real show, with real people, creative drag, great fun, filth and some good old fashioned blasphemy, search no more.

Opposite of RuPaul's Drag Race, I find that Dragula was amazing to begin with. I actually started with season 2, worried that the first season would be similar to RPDR's.. Yeah I was totally wrong about that. The first two seasons are the strongest in my opinion. Season 3 and Resurrection has made me a tad worried for the direction that it seems the show is taking.

Dragula is a fun and horror filled drag competition show that knocks Rupaul's Drag Race right off their feet. This show takes the underrated queens of horror and fantasy and puts them into a competition show that is more raw and more entertaining to watch than Drag Race.

Dragula is a show that all drag race and drag queen fans can watch one episode of it and be hooked automatically. It is that much better.

If you need a good show that is similar to drag race but with more blood and more elements of horror and a show that is better than drag race, Dragula is for you.

Oh my goodness. I enjoyed the preceding seasons. They're like rupual's only with darker themes, bit lower budget and fun exterminations at the end.

But season 4 seems to have a bigger TV station backing it and a bit of a budget. And it is popping off. All the usual great looks, but with more engrossing back-stage drama (or better editing?) and a larger, more grandiose feel to everything without losing its heart, or its surprisingly impartial and relatable judging.

I cannot rave enough about season 4 especially. I've watched it with the other drag shows that are currently airing, and it (to me, at least) has been by far the most engrossing.

If you love drag and ALL aspects of drag, this show is for you. The Boulets are inclusive of all types of drag, unlike Drag Race. And instead of lip sync for your life, the queens face an extermination challenge... watch at your own risk!!

This show is so much amazing !

There's so much drag show in the world (at 2023) and this is the only one who's UNIQUE because of the horror theme. This is a horror show who's not only stuck in the horror.

The show is growing years after years and i hope he will continue for a very long time !

The Boulet Brothers' are such great hosts for this, the judges are amazing iconic peoples from my childhood. The first three seasons were amazing but the budget wasn't really there but the season 4 (and 5) got the full package !

And i don't forget the fact The Boulet Brothers' allow EVERY type of drag from EVERY country to come on Dragula, so every year the cast is amazing and so diversified.

Best drag show ever !

This show is pageant-style drag competition where contestants display their alternative drag styles and compete in challenges that stretch their skills and imagination. Some challenges are dessert photo shoots in 100+ degree weather while elimination challenges may consist of being buried alive with varying critters being funneled into the grave or eating animal brains!

It works because one hand, the glamour and skills of the Drag Queens are amazing and the challenges are not for the faint of heart!

It's a drag competition on the next level and highly entertaining.

The Boulet Brothers, it's creators, are beautiful, twisted, honest, loving, and straight forward.

Definitely a reality completion series for all to enjoy!

For those who love drag, but want something other than fish, WATCH NOW!!! You are sure to be on the edge of your seat with jaw dropping moments and suspense.

The Boulet Brothers are incredible in how they I treat in the show! They have created this show where they have invested their own blood to make the show as creative and filthy as possible! They promote Equality and Diversity and TRUELY represent the LGBT community! I appreciate them giving a platform to people who can share their stories and be a vision of world!

I went into season 4 after being disgusted by season 1 vowing I would not support or watch this show again due to the fact I thought the eliminations were too sadistic. I was very surprised and happy to see they toned that down extremely and it's a nice touch to have a higher budget. I personally think season 1 should not be shown but if I was to go by season 4 alone I approve.

A combination of America's next top model, Rupauls drag race and all of my fave horror movies. The extreme extermination is so devilishly delicious that this show just fills the void I didn't know I had. The drama and artistic creativity just flows together so beautifully. Love this show.

The "queens" are shown in almost full makeup with clothes and then they're told what the next task is. Yeah, sure, that's how it goes. It's not bad editing.

The sets are bad. It's like some free space at a community center. I'm sure they could've found something slightly more horrendous if they tried.

The hosts are shown as something every monster knows and who have amazing parties. Yet they can't even dress a set, or act, or handle anything the show needs. The "queens" outshine them at every moment. They should be the ones trying to perform and get feedback on their stuff.

All in all, it's not done well and it's not done badly enough to be entertaining. It's just done badly. Recording audio, camera work, editing, sets, everything is on the level of "I've never done this before but we can throw things together."

The only redeeming thing is that the "queens" have some talent.

OMG!!! This is the BEST Drag show I've seen!! The Boulet Brothers come up with such amazing costumes, make-up and content and now a contest for up and coming Queens based on HORROR!!

Some of the Outfits ARE AMAZInG, like the one contestant that made that ALIENS costume!! Very SCARY/SEXY!! :o Way more Fun to watch than RuPauls, which I used to enjoy, but just got BORED already, Jeez, Game of Thrones didn't last this long. They give too many shows, toooooo long of a life span, and its just Wash, Rinse, REPEAt. And that gets OLD!! :( The Boulet Brother's Put a SNAP, back into those old Garters! Worth a watch if you enjoy drag, or just great Scary Horror theme Costumes and Make-up!

RuPaul's Drag Race meets B horror meets Fear Factor. Yes, some of the acting and editing in amateur. Yes, the acting is bad. But I was hooked after I got over the first episode and acted the show for the unique and original show that it is. The elimination challenges are insane and I can watch any horror but these can be a little hard to stomach. What other competition takes out the losers like this?

I have an amazing idea for season 5. Let's call it redemption. Give the uglies a chance to fight for the crown one more time. Also, Have our Queens and King come up with the form of torture. Have the Boulet Brother always the location and always looking fabulous!

After watching two seasons I gave up. I was so wanting to like this show as I have an interest in horror make up and the creation of characters. Season two episode two was the real turn off. It was crass and just plain disgusting.

It has turned me away from ever watching a drag competition again. As a gay man who is into horror I had high hopes for this series.. The contestants came across as being highly obnoxious and having little talent.

The hosting is cliche and quickly became a bore.

I certainly would not watch this show in the company of children.

Shudder does deliver its amount of trashy horror but this takes the cake.

There are a couple of drag-based reality shows on currently. This is the other one. It seems like it might have been based on the ru paul version, just purposely given a downbeat monster pastiche. Whereas ru tries to keep things upbeat and keeps the big drama to a minmum, this one pulls out all the stops. Horror, gross makeup and disgusting tasks to perform in order to stay in the game. This is in addition to the runway shows, where they bring out some weird and inventive outfits for the hosts to critique. This is done in the name of a supposed hidden underworld of drag that's perhaps underserved. Who knows? I sure don't!

Contestants don't just leave the show, they're shown being murdered in various inventive ways. The hosts are a couple of lookalike queens with expensive wardrobes and unlimited colored contact lenses. The extent of the host's "acting" is holding their hands up by their ears with their loooong fingers pointing up, then wiggling them back and forth and cackling menacingly. They do this A LOT! I don't find that either one of them has enough o of a personality to be hosting a show like this. The contestants are far more entertaining.

I found it interesting in small doses. I can't see binging this for very long - it's just toomuch of a downer.
