Well since nobody has reviewed this title yet. I might as well share my experience with this anime.
I spent the whole of yesterday by just watching this whole anime. After finishing it I decided to take notes just for this review.
I will start off by saying the animation, art style and character designs for this show were very detailed and it looked like the art directors to their time and effort making it. I especially like Koyuki Hinashi design because I found her very beautiful as both a kid and a teenager.
I did enjoy the music but what really put it down was I get it's a Japanese series and of course the songs will be in Japanese but what I did like was the approach they had with, there were no english subtitles for the intro nor the songs which is pretty bad for people like me who prefer to watch the Dubbed version its not fair on them because Japanese isn't everyone's second language and people won't have a single clue of what they are saying. Fuuka is no exception whatsoever because I have watched Angel Beats (Dubbed) all the songs were in Japanese but there was still English subtitles.
In terms of voice acting it was very spot on especially since I am always happy to hear more of Aaron Dismuke, Ricco Fajardo and Jeannie Tirado in anime dubs since they are my voice actor/actress from Funimation. I even thought at one point that Koyuki Hinashi was voiced by Laura Bailey because the characters voice sounded similar to Rise Kujikawa from Persona 4. There is a bit of controversy going with Aaron Dismuke voice Yuu Haruna when he was a kid people are saying he sounded too old or forced, I personally think he sounds perfectly fine as the character although I have to admit it's not easy for a grown up to sound really young because sometimes it come out as too old for example Johnny Yong Bosch as Nate Adams and Noby Nobi from Doremon and Yo Kai Watch.
Okay sorry I went off topic there.
In terms of morals and lessons this anime explains the consequences of social media and what happens when you share something personal and what effect it would have on others. I get to learn a bit about the rights and responsibilities of a famous singer and what happens if he/she reveals there personal or private thoughts.
Now for the bad, as I have mentioned above the music was good but it wasn't translated into English.
In terms of story there was way too many things going on at once like the whole story is about Yuu, Fuuka and Makoto joining a music club because Fuuka has a dream to be a singer meanwhile Kazuya Nachi wants her to join the track team because of her physical fitness but later on he gets pushed into it. Then in the next episode they are going to the beach for a job and that episode was just for Yuu to have CPR and for him to fall out with Fuuka oh and apparently Yuu had trouble speaking out.
I might get a lot of hate for this but I just don't like the actual character herself Fuuka Akitsuki because of her attitude one man person behaviour. What is worse is at the end of the whole anime ....(warning spoilers)........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Yuu Haruna and Fuuka Akitsuki became a couple. I am sorry but I do not approve of this couple. As Yuu forgot all the bad things she has done to him (smash his phone because she thought he was taking a photo of her panties, intefired when he was with Koyuki and snap at him for no reason) of course there will be complications to relationships I know but I just don't find Fuuka even attractive whatsoever in fact she might as well had joined the track team or just stayed solo forever.
I prefer Yuu and Koyuki as a shipping and as a couple, call me butt hurt or whatever you want, the reason I think them two should have been together is because they spent more time together as both kids and teenagers, they both supported each other in their own ways and none of them disrespect others decisions and if there is one major difference between Fuuka and Koyuki. Koyuki doesn't physically hurt Yuu whatsoever.
They had a huge past with them and that means nothing to them, both of them loved each other and she had the nerves to call him old friend at the end of it. Koyuki who came looking for you when your voice went?
To be honest I wish the whole show was about Koyuki instead of Fuuka because she was more of interesting character. The worst part is they only sang once in the whole anime, them two should have also sang together in the final episode as well but no they left Koyuki as an empty shell.
The rest of the characters don't interest me that much at all because Makota was just supporting the characters but was being raised by a horrible father, Yuu sisters were supportive I guess but they rarely appeared in the episodes and Sarah and her brother Hisashi were okay characters but I don't get how they were related because they had different hair and eye colours.
But other then that those bad points I don't know whether to call this a review or a rant because I both like and hate the anime at the same time so I am just not sure what to rate it. Which is one of the reasons I am not going to give it a score. I have to admit though I did have a chuckle and a smile here and there in the anime. I am actually going to add this to my favourite show list since there is a few more things I liked about this anime despite all the bad things I have mentioned I also have yo admit it is pretty memorable.
If you like or if you are planning to watch it more power to you but honestly I think Your Lie In April is a better option instead. However if you have seen Your Lie In April and you are looking for something that has similarities than I can recomand Fuuka.
Even if this anime has its ups and down part of me honestly thinks it should get a higher rating than just 6.6. But still I would rather not rate it at all. I will just wait for other reviewers to see what do they think.

I have decided it is a 7/10
