Very interesting
mbocquet-0406128 March 2019
To the previous comment, yeah you're wrong, they toured, we never saw Randall picking a college, so it's absurd to try and say the script is wrong, when obviously it's not, and furthermore you should have known he wouldn't go into this black college after the conversation with his father both in the park and in the car. About the episode, damn it's well acted and written, the cast of this show is incredible, the whole crew, the story needs build up so not every episode is as exciting as the other, but the cast is so good together, every siruation be very well acted Then story of this serie is gonna be very good in the end i'm sure, as the director knows it all already And the story of their couple is very interesting, and I hope it doesn't end up in divorce, otherwise it is hopeless for couples where both wanna do their dream job haha, don't mess with us

R & B (#3.17)
ComedyFan201013 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A great episode where we learn more about Beth and Randall's relationship and the fight they were always having. It was really interesting to see their history and the conflicts that they had. I also got to laugh a little bit in the vows scene. And the great thing is they managed to make it that way that I can understand both. I have trouble to tell who is right. Beth sees that she always sacrificed her dreams for him and Randall feels like she was the head of the family. And it indeed looks like both were right. It will be sad if they divorce. They are a great couple.

This episode was intense. I liked all of the flashbacks from previous years. R & B have always been so strong. Very well written and acted.

Very good

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is not sort of the ones that oblige you to cry, instead it is highly psycological review from real life what happens step by step in some families in same situation. More the script writers logically lead us and prepare for R & B divorce, more I do hope it won't happen to them. Still it is so real to watch how and where the fight begins, how it develops, how the wrong words declared under emotional instability spoil and increase the conflict - the conflict that began many years ago but successfully smothered so far. So far but not forever as the bomb must explode and real feeling must come out on the surface. Once you depress yourself and once you feeling uncomfortable for a long time there is no other way but to come out. The freaky moment is that no one expects to say bad words towards your mate, no one want to hurt and rarely you know what and when exactly hurts, when the bomb explode, it is just feelings that you express. Me personally, I don't understand how it can be stopped since the conflict is accumulated for many years, this thing - that thing, and here you go non-satisfied with what happenning in your life. Is it possible to smooth all these years the conflict, to find out in advance and be smart enough to predict the consequences? Years ago Beth sacrified her careeer in front of her family, and obviously it was a good decision, who can blame her? In what period of time she had to stop and think whether it was a good idea? The advisers say "you must not forget youself, you must say everything what is in your mind" but how use it in the real unstoppable life fullfilled with children, family, and when you think you did it for the good? I do hope they will find the way out other that divorce and show us how to do it, how to care about each other, how to find solutions suitable for them both.

Didn't Randall go to a primarily black college?
lajoneser28 March 2019
Not a review but perhaps a continuity error. I thought in season 2 Randall and Jack were touring colleges and that Randall was particularly excited about a primarily black school. I thought that is where he went, not Carnegie Mellon. Am I misremembering?

Saw It Coming
Hitchcoc29 April 2024
Here we have two character that are in a track the makes them think only of themselves. They are unyielding. So when the you know what hits the fan, Randall acts out. Now he and Beth are in the bedroom at each other's throats. The writer's then take us, step by step through their courtship and ultimate proposal and marriagee. It shows that they are a nice match, but to think that such strong personalities wouldn't come to blows (I don't mean literally) seems inconceivable. So what do they do? This just shows that life doesn't always end like it does in a Hallmark movie. There is pain. There are other things coming up that will become clear in the last episode of the third season.

Great show but
gwtx-1368518 June 2019
The show is great. I really don't like the personalities of the kids and their spouses. Could never be friends with them in real life. If Beth wants to be a stay home mom, then be one. Expecting your man to work the evening shift at home while you're off fulfilling your dreams won't cut it. Either work days or don't have kids.

Story is getting a little off
malita_lucian29 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So throught the seasons Randall is the man. He wants to be like his father, he kinda is in a way, and then in the last season they show us that he is actually a cry baby if things don't go his way. In an episode Beth tells him that this version of him it's not the man she married, and now in this episode they show us that it's exactly the man she married. Like she said, they always have the same fights, and it's shown that Randall was like that from the beginning... I really liked the show but this season the whole thing with Randall's family feels way off to me.

Whiny Beth
zenbeing194 April 2019
So tired of whiny Beth. She never deserved Randall. I almost started liking her this season but she's got such a flawed character.

Worse
Bowler30029 April 2019
This was one of the worse episodes in the three years. I hope the writers gave back the monies they were given!?
