Funny how some parents took this show too seriously and didn't understand it
aw-214064 January 2022
I think this is a fine show and got my son to stop watching Bob the Train which was much, much more harmful for him. As far as the situations it gets itself into, it is to convey to the child what happens when you do certain things so the kid doesn't try them. Also I don't get the Chernobyl and Russia comments I see on here. The show is from the UK it says so on the IMDB page...

Fun is fun

I watch with my child and I reminisce over how innocent and how my growing into a boy looked as I watch

I do appreciate the sweet humor and so does my child. We enjoy and laugh and take note of how fun danger can be

Inane garbage my kid loses his mind over
emilybluvas4 September 2019
Who thought "hey I'll make a plotless show about an idiot goat-rat who causes mayem" and then what adults at Netflix watched and then green lit this as content? I don't know but THANK YOU because this show, and only this show, delights my 2 year old to literally no end. I don't understand why on Earth watching a hideous mutant rodent sustain repeated injuries does it for him, but that's for his future therapist to figure out. He stands in front of our tv shouting "boowa" until I agree to turn it on, which I do because nothing is better than the sound of his joyous baby laughter filling our house. I truly hope we all can find something that brings us as pure a joy as this dumb show does for my son.

Toddler loves it
eileen169 August 2020
As an adult, I think it's weird. Kids love it. It's short and to the point and it's visually entertaining. It's no different than the concept behind Wile E Coyote and the Road Runner or Tom & Jerry. I see some people concerned over the antics in the show. He gets into trouble. If your kid is eating coins, this show isn't the problem. 🙄

Brilliant

Curious Booba and his adventures, exploring differnet things. My 2 year old is obsessed with the show! I watched along with him and love how famous movie dance scenes are incorporated. He has imitated Booba bowling, playing basketball, dancing, etc. Great entertainment for kids.

charming of bizarre
Kirpianuscus29 November 2020
It is the favorit serie of my four years old nephew . And , for enigmatic motif, mine too. Because a strange character who seems , at first sigh, a beard old man, than a sort of rat, in final a version of Mr. Bean, works, in absurd situations, in slices of near reality, in the most seductive manner. And any explanation do not work in this case. Short, just charming of bizarre, maybe because Booba ( in Romanian booba = boil ) .is just what you feel as good/reasonable refuge.against daily stress.

Annoyance or Post-Apocalyptic Adventure?
gbirmingham-4330215 February 2021
Centuries ago, the Pope banished the faerie folk from the sun-soaked land to the bleak and cold underdark, ending a thousand-year war between our race and theirs.

Today, a lone goblinoid called Booba has traversed the tunnels of Gloomdaste and emerged from the Prison Gates of Fey Duun only to find the once proud Overworld.... abandoned. Where have the enemies of underrealm gone? What manner of fate has befallen humanity? Will Booba meet this same end as he explores the devastated landscape in search of answers? He must continue on his quest for the world of men has come to an end. Now begins the age of Booba.... -------- This show is so annoying that the only way I can sit through it is by making up terribly dark backstories for the ridiculous characters, but I do it for my 4 year old daughter who LOVES Booba 😩. I guess it isnt a bad show. It's silly and the animation is pretty good, I just find it am uncomfortable watch. But for real, where are the people at? He spends every episode breaking into homes and businesses trashing everything he interacts with and practically without consequences! Is it too difficult to add in a few human adults or kids to act as voices of reason and Booba and his weird friends wreck everything?

Proof the chernobyl accident had an upside
eliotashley22 May 2019
Started watching this with my gfs kids and love it. The creature is obviously a mutated beast escaped from the chernobyl exclusion zone. Like the other review it unleashes destruction while exploring houses in a hilarious way. Capitalism will finally crumble at the hands of comrade Booba! Long live the soviet union!

The noises are awful
marlidoss27 September 2019
My child loves this, but I literally have to leave the room as the noises Booba Makes make me physically ill. I appreciate that they've made a languageless cartoon, but every noise sounds a bit like he's vomiting to me.

Absolute garbage
devatones28 March 2019
Booba is a slapstick comedy show intended for small children which can probably best be described as anti-educational. There is no dialogue in Booba. There is grunting. As far as plot is concerned, there is none. Instead, the rat-gnome protagonist just kind of does things. What kind of things you may ask? General mayhem, destruction, and you know, all the things you don't want your kid doing. I do not recommend this show for you, your children, or anyone.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!
jjsgoetz9 October 2019
At first I was leary about Booba. But after watching it with my 2 yr old & watching how my 2 yr old interacts with Booba, I think it's the best cartoon out there. I don't have to worry about not liking what the characters say, how they come across, or weird hidden innuendos. Booba keeps my 2 yr old on his toes & keeps his attention for HOURS! He watches the same episodes & is as excited to watch them as if it were his first time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Silly slapstick, harmless fun
johnriggs91 October 2019
Boba is a goofball who gets into trouble in different situations. It's silly. It's harmless. It's fun. And it's short. They're 3 or 4 minutes so it keeps everyone's attention. Not much story. Just fun.

An ersatz rodent babysitter
ssgtnail24 December 2020
Parents who rely on this garbage to distract their children have lost the battle of wits with their toddlers. Giving the devil his due, the soundtrack, High quality graphics and animation are understandably engaging for toddlers. . .and mindless parents.

What is this evil creature and what does it want???
RuiChiu18 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Erroneously labelled 'children's entertainment' this Murnau-esque program features a genetically mutated hamster/ rodent beast, cruelly unleashed onto an unsuspecting public. It's unquenching thirst for violence leads it to decimate homes, deface priceless art, and inflict hundreds of thousands of dollars of property damage. So deranged and beastlike this 'Booba' creature. its sole companion is an androgynous mutated rat with a horrificly deformed pelvis.

Seems to be popular with the 3 and under crowd.

Just creepy
sharnelperera31 December 2021
What on earth is this show?! I can't stand that thing, he sounds like a creepy old man trying to get his jollies on. The storylines don't make any sense, though I suspect there isn't meant to be a storyline. I don't understand how this show is for children, because Booba is not pleasing to look at, and the noises he makes are weirdly concerning. There are SO MANY excellent children's cartoons, I don't know why this one has airtime. I wish I could give zero stars.

Burlesque show
i-lolo5 August 2019
Booba is very funny for young kids, just like silent films (Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd...), It's burlesque. Something new at each second, and most of the time with classical or famous music. Excellent show.

Looney Toons meets the looney farm... IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE
benthedumbestgenius15 February 2019
Imagine the Citizen Kane of kids shows. NOW add funny sound effects out the wazoo, heaps of crazy and downright kooky antics, and - oh yeah - THE CUTEST PROTAGONIST EVARRRR. You, my friend, would have this modest little show, Booba. What can I say about Booba!? :) Well for starters, he's a fun little friend (but trust me, you DO NOT wanna take him home ;) lol). He's fuzzy, fun and full of love, peeking around every corner to see if he can turn your ordinary objects into a little bit of mischief (he can...). After watching all 38 (YES THERE ARE ONLY 38 EPISODES, EPIC SADNESS) installments of this little guy wrecking havoc, I started to see him in my dreams (not complaining here). He's like the little devil on my shoulder, and WHAT a little devil he is - telling me to put my roomba in the oven :O (fans of the show will get the reference). 10! 10! 10! MORE MORE MOREMO RE GIVE ME MORE EPISODES!!!!!! :D

Sets a horrible example for children, zero educational value
kristylattanzio2 September 2023
At first glance it's a cute show about a baby Yeti having adventures, but my 5yo son developed behavioral issues after watching it. I guess it's supposed to be slapstick comedy, which would be fine for kids old enough to know it's just fiction and they can't really act like that in real life, but Booba routinely misbehaves and get into unsafe situations that little kids try to emulate. He eats non-food items, breaks glass, destroys things, climbs ladders and furniture, and gets his head stuck in things. There's no educational value, no dialogue, and Booba is never supervised or punished. Everything just turns out fine in the end after he completely destroys his environment and causes mayhem with zero repercussions.

My son began climbing the furniture, playing with electrical cords, and throwing things after seeing Booba do those things. We have had several accidents that almost resulted in my son getting seriously hurt. He used to be able to play alone in his room but now we're having to re-baby proof the house and watch him closely again. Last week he threw his little chair across the room and nearly shattered a window, if it had hit just a few inches to the right we'd have had a sliced up kid and broken glass everywhere. Many times I've entered the room just in the nick of time to stop him from trying to climb a bookshelf or dresser and jump off just like Booba.

So yeah, Booba is now BANNED FOREVER in this household.
