Overwrought

The break up of a failing relationship caused Filip too much pain to be real. It was clear the liaison had become toxic after six years and a clean cut-off was needed. Eryk left after a particularly unedifying argument and was completely off the scene. Filip's world ended.

Despite support networks of friends and family he moped. Even the arrival of hunky Janek onto the scene did nothing to lift his despair.

After a meeting in his car there were new opportunities available for Filip. Exhibitions, trips to America, new relationships. Mum helped crystallise his decisions. We see him making them in the last scene.

I just rewatched the film and increased the mark to a six. I got a better sense of it the second time round. It's worth half an hour of anyone's time.

I love it

I love it. It is the basic word to say about it. The performance of Bartosz Ostrowski, remembering many other Polish actors art, the good story, the Polish air, so familiar, the delicacy and precision in the construction of tale and characters , the end are good points for a film about break up sentimental relation, after 4 years, about mourning and about new starts. Short, just a beautiful, courageous and well crafted film.
