I was not impressed. The premise of this obviously low budget horror flick is okay enough: young girl starts her new job as receptionist in a hotel with a nightshift and is during this night confronted with the ghosts of a terrible massacre that some time ago happened in the hotel, while being haunted by the killer (or is it his ghost?). It's not very original, there are countless comparable horror movies that have for instance old hospitals or asylums as the haunted location, but that doesn't have to be a problem if the clichés are dealt with in an inventive, original and qualitatively adequate way. Unfortunately that is not really the case here.

Biggest problem is the way too complicated story, with time-loops where the main character finds herself time and again in different states of reality in past or present, actuality or dream, situations that are as confusing to herself as to us viewers. This simply means that we never really know what the deuce is going on and that's why it's very hard to get really involved. It simply doesn't get scary enough. The acting of Ashleigh Dorrell and Matthew O'Brien by the way is fine, but worthy of a better cause than this.

Amy (Ashleigh Dorrell ) is an Irish-American going to school in Limerick. She gets a nightshift job at the Limerick Hotel where 10 years ago some gruesome murders happened. They never found the killer.

Amy is afraid of the dark, a feature that was not utilized that well. The feature demonstrated Stephen King influences, and there were times I thought I was watching the master himself. The soundtrack needed to be more engaging and the revelation of the killer's identification didn't go that well, primarily due to a lack of suspects, Scooby-Doo.

A little slow getting off the starting block but loved the twists and turns, the fact it's Irish appealed to me, there are so little of this genre made in Ireland. This is a horror, it just does what it says on the cover, it gives you just the right amount of jumps, makes you smile, with just the right amount of Irish charm. This was obviously low budget but I think all in all a "must see the ending" kind of movie. A surprising ending - but controversial! I disagree with some of the reviews on this, well made, great acting and good storyline. Yes it's been done before - but haven't most movie plot themes?! I'd watch more from this director.

After reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant to watch this movie, but I actually liked it a lot! It is a little slow occasionally and tends to get a bit confusing at times, but the movie is very enjoyable. The premise is pretty basic and not super original, but the time loop twist wasn't something I was expecting, so I thought that was cool. One of the best things was that there was ZERO sex or nudity, which is honestly a treat and a breath of fresh air from the normal sex-riddled horrors. The movie itself is also well made - it's high quality, even if the actors aren't super famous or anything. Overall I definitely recommend this movie. I was pleasantly surprised by the film and I think most people will be too.
