No one does one take long shot fight scenes like this show.

That prison fight scene was the highlight of this episode and I can't comprehend the level of practice and execution which would have went into it. I love how this show pushes bounderies every season.

This is Daredevil
Barry_Garrick23 October 2018
I didn't think it could be done but Charlie Cox has somehow managed to take his performance to a whole new level. From his uncanny facial expressions as a blind person to the brilliant execution of his fight choreography, this character will go down with some of the all time TV greats. Simply put, the fight scene can not be applauded enough. Calling it a 'hallway fight' does not do it justice. If you think you've seen Daredevil do this before now, you haven't. If you think you're witnessing TV history, you are

This is what you call masterpiece.

This season our hero started a bit slow, with a broken Matthew trying to find himself after the events that ocurrs in Defenders. Foggy and Karen trying to deal with the ausence of their best friend and Wilson Fisk, working with the FBI.

Everything starting slow but promising. "Blindsided" is what I was waiting for, here the story is starting to build itself. New reveals, great cinematography, and fighting scene.

God bless that fight scene. Coreography and cinematography at its best. This is what Daredevil is. This season has the potential to be the best of the best and this episode proves it.

Where's my breath?!

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. Things really explode in episode 4. The previous two episodes did feel a lot like a build up to something, and that 'something' is one hell of a detonation.

I'm really liking the storyline of Dex so far, especially when you get extraordinary scenes like the one involving CCTV. The way those deep, cold eyes stared into the camera was unbelievable and sent shivers down my spine. I just can't get over how amazing Vincent D'Onofrio is as Fisk.

I just have to mention the fight scene though. This is, without a doubt, my favourite long take fight scene of the show. It's just pure adrenaline that doesn't seem to end. It's even more realistic than the hallway scene in season 1. The effort and preparation they put into this must be off the Richter scale. Well, it looks like the show's going to pick up another Emmy nod for stuntwork... ...and just when you think your jaw couldn't fall any lower, the episode ends like THAT and proves you wrong, sending your jaw to another world. I guess it's lucky these don't release weekly, because I wouldn't be able to handle the week after this ending.

Seriously impressive stuff; I'm addicted.

Only This Show Can One Up Themselves
MekkaMax20 October 2018
What an episode. It had everything I wanted. Great character building, great music and a spectacular prison segment. The scene alone without the fight was amazing but adding the fight was the cherry on top. At the same time, seeing the other characters figure out how to take down Fisk is amusing. This was truly a nonstop thrill of an episode.

It left me no choice but to stop watching after the best fight sequence (Seems like Single camera Shot) I have ever seen on a TV series or otherwise! Just topped the Season 1 Hallway fight scene & for me this will be the New Benchmark! You will bound to loose your breathe with Matt, brilliantly executed & performed.

DareDevil at it's Very best & only superhero who fights like a real people!

One Shot!
feritciva30 October 2018
Kudos & thanks to everyone who contributed to this show, this episode and the legendary prison scene. This is really one of the best I've seen in years. For me the best one shot scenes were in Cuaron's Children of Men - and here we see nearly same level creativity & execution.

Excellent!

Another outstanding episode
ha77y73ad9722 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The story is moving along at a blistering pace for this series and im loving every second of this.

episode 4 treated us to one of the best 1 take scenes in any marvel Netflix property so far. Matt after hearing about the Albanian plot to kill Wilson Fisk, enlists the help of an older client in jail where Fisk was being held and after question about the Albanian connection things turn sour pretty quickly. Matt getting struck by his old client must be taken to the infirmary of the jail, slowly discovers that this is a regular check up on his health and that the doctor that is examining him has been paid off by Fisk. Which leads to another great fight scene and 1 shot take to fight his way out of the prison that is being over run by the current crop of inmates. in the end this gets him to exiting the prison via the cab that got him there in the first place or did it?

The ending of the episode confirms that the cab was also taken by an Albanian hit man to crash this into the river and leave Matt for dead, but of course we will see him re-surface by the beginning of the next episode.

This also leads back to the previous episode with Karen and Fisk that the hotel that hes been imprisoned in has been kitted out with a hidden surveillance room which Karen is just figuring out that this hotel has a lot of secrets that the FBI doesn't know about.

Foggy also has a story that is heading for greatness as his embarks on a campaign for District Attorney to keep Fisk behind barks, along with the endorsement of the NYPD hes making a splash in the Ocean that the current DA hasn't fought against the deal that was presented to Fisk.

Overall this episode / series keeps pushing the story along at a great pace and the reason for a 10 out of 10 is just for the 1 shot scene which like i said was just prefect for fighting and also a conversation which normally requires jump cuts to get everyone's view across.

Hilarious fight scenes
antcharats24 January 2019
Hilarious fight scenes. I mean the fight scenes are so fake and some of the ratings are even more fake. Bad, really bad fight scenes. Look how easily his opponents are go down...its like a joke. Worst season by far.

Mindblowing great
Gefricules20 October 2018
This episode has one of the best one-shot scenes ever created, period. To be fair, you can almost predict the moments when the actor is exchanged with his stand double, but this doesn't dim the grandiose acting overall in this scene. Hands up to anyone involved in this scene. BRAVO! This is how great film making is done!

It's a technical marvel, it's narratively gripping, but best of all... It's Daredevil!

Warning: Spoilers
Where do I start? this episode is excellence in every field, despite having one of if not the best oners in filmmaking history which we'll get to in a minute it also manages to do everything else needed to make a great episode, the supporting characters in this show have always been better than in most show's nut this episode manages to take you away from the more 'important' (I guess you would put it) scenes with Matt or Fisk and still deliver a well written and interesting narrative that doesn't feel neglected to make way for the more grandiose sequences we get in the prison, and those scenes... this episode delivers the trademark one-shot hallway fight scene that manages to not only deliver thrilling, well choreographed, high octane action but also important narrative steps and a climax to the whole prison segment that had started in the beginning of the episode. I have to commend everyone on their job with this episode as they all hit the mark with more accuracy than Bullseye. 9.8/10

Beautiful brutality
patrick-41323 October 2018
This episode gets a few plot threads underway that define the rest of the series, but at its core it is all about the prison fight scene, which you've probably heard about already.

Now you have probably seen a lot of great fight scenes before, and I know I have. But nothing has ever been this frenetic, brutal, and brilliantly staged as this one. I can't even say it seems "choreographed" - though technically it is - so much as it seems to just take place before our eyes as a real fight. Every blow seems painful, every missed punch or kick seems consequential, and everything from props to walls to doors is used by every combatant just as a real-life fight would be. Except it's some sort of heightened reality that manages to bring us into the hero's world in a way few previous martial-arts scenes have ever managed.

Simply a brilliant achievement, and a piece of action filmmaking to be appreciated forever.

Choreographed fight scenes taken in one long shot, become a trade mare for the show. And this season, in this episode, they got even harder, longer, and enjoyable.

They just pulled off a True Detective
gn_samuel24 October 2018
If you're familiar with the famous one-shot scene from season 1 of True Detective, go watch this episode and you'll know what I'm talking about. Amazing scene from the photography, choreography, directing and certainly acting. They just pulled off an amazing cinematic feat.

The best single-shot fight scene since Season 1
demisjohn7 November 2018
This episode has an incredibly long and impressive single-shot fight scene, reminiscent of a shorter but equally amazing scene from S1E2 "Cut Man". This episode takes this show from excellent to unbelievable. There are no other action TV shows with this sort of choreography. Even the martial-arts based "Iron Fist" pales in comparison to this show, in particular because of episodes like this one (in fact, Daredevil makes Iron Fist look worse, sadly). The realism, exhaustion and timing of these amazingly choreographed fights sets the bar very high, I have yet to see any other show come close.

If the politics and story had you wondering whether you should continue watching this show, this episode will make you stay to the end.

Daredevil Starts Here
I thought the first few episodes were a bit slow, but this episode finally went into top gear. I had to watch the fight scene three times to see where the cut was, but I couldn't find it. Brilliant.
