If you’ve ever thought of taking Blade Runner in a more horror-themed direction, Headware Games has just the thing for you. Coming in 2024 is Hollowbody, a “tech-noir survival horror short story” that recently revealed its gameplay in a new video.
Per RelyOnHorror, the five-minute video delves into the world of Hollowbody while giving us a taste of some of the game’s narrative-focused gameplay, with a snippet of combat for dessert.
The story for Hollowbody centres on Mica, an unlicensed Shipper working for a ring of black market freelancers. Mica finds herself stranded in a long abandoned British city in the exclusion zone, described as “twenty miles of death and decay sealed off by the towering, suffocating walls erected after the collapse.” With limited resources at your disposal, you’ll have to push your way through the zone while solving puzzles, managing resources and fighting for your life as...

AC/DC played a steamy rendition of “The Jack,” singer Bon Scott’s ode to STDs, when the band appeared on the Dutch TV show Countdown on July 13th, 1979. Dressed only in jeans and shoes, Scott caressed his mic and peered out at the packed crowd as he sang sexual innuendos, leading them in a sing-along accompanied only by the drums. Angus Young, also shirtless, plays his own seedy guitar solo midway through the bluesy number.

The notion of David Arquette starring in a horror movie about a “possessed” rock band promises so much trashy fun, a certain amount of disappointment seems almost inevitable. Yet “High Voltage” confounds expectations by being very little fun at all. Short on thrills and energy despite its title, this slick yet sluggish feature often seems barely interested in the horror elements that are, after all, what will primarily lure viewers in.
Instead, the genre hook comes off as more of a Trojan Horse with which to smuggle in a showcase for “Hollow Body”, the onscreen vehicle for writer-director Alex Keledjian’s songwriting and costar Allie Gonino’s singing. It’s an awkward, compromising combination that ultimately provides little satisfaction on any level — unless you’re content to watch Gonino model a series of increasingly over-the-top, midriff-baring “sexy rock chick” fashions.

Hello, readers! October is only a few hours away now, and beyond the fact that most of us have been counting down to the official start of everyone’s favorite month, it also means that we have a brand new batch of horror and sci-fi releases to look forward to on digital and VOD platforms in the coming weeks.
Easily the busiest day of October (and possibly even all of 2018), there are 11 different movies hitting various platforms on October 2nd, with highlights including The First Purge, Tales From the Hood 2, Sleep No More and Molly. On October 5th, one of my favorite films of 2018, Heavy Trip, is making its digital debut, and Knuckleball, featuring Michael Ironside, comes home the same day as well.
Netflix is keeping very busy throughout October, too, with a variety of films and genre-related series that fans are certainly going to want to check out in the coming weeks.

Zombieland: Double Tap, a sequel a decade in the making, will reunite the original main cast for more insane undead action.
As it turns out, there are more than a few rules left to learn if you want to survive a zombie apocalypse. And why not? When the first Zombieland came out way back in 2009, The Walking Dead was still simply a comic book, and the ghoulish undead were far less hip than all those sexy vampires running around. As pop culture has become infested with the dreaded brain-eaters, Zombieland 2 (or Zombieland: Double Tap as it is now offically called,) has long seemed like a no-brainer. As it turned out, Sony agreed.
Hence, Sony Pictures is taking us back with a Zombieland sequel, with the four main actors from the original film: Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin reprising their roles as Wichita,...

Tagline: "Re-born to be Wild." A few details are emerging for Alex Keledjian's Hollow Body. This thriller involves a struggling rock band. When the lead singer and her mother are struck by lightning, Rachel (Allie Gonino) lets loose an electrifying performance. The film stars: Luke Wilson, David Arquette and Ryan Donowho. This title was recently at the Cannes Film Festival. Now, a poster, stills and other promotional materials are available for this title. The official synopsis begins and ends with Rachel. She is apprehensive when performing in front of a crowd. Then, an act of God infuses here with new talents. But, she must kill again and again, to keep her supernatural singing voice going. Will a shady record exec' do the right thing? The first film poster puts Rachel front and center. Possibly a love triangle, Rick (Luke Wilson) and Jimmy (David Arquette) struggle over what to do with Rachel's new,...
