Sandstorms, worms and plots

Octavia marches to war. Abby tries to prove her worth. Raven tries to help her friends.

I have to be honest and say that this was not my favorite episode. Some scenes felt very choppy. All the characters keep being interesting, with the exception of McCreary, who continues to be kind of your stereotypical bad guy. Some characters I liked before I start to dislike and vice versa. This is not necessarily critique, since it is probably wanted that way, so I am just interested where those individual story lines are going to go.

However, I really did like the ending. It really makes me look forward to what is going to come next. But until now, I unfortunately have to say that this was the weakest episode of the fifth season for me.

The Script is weird.

The pace is weird. The cut is not smooth, many scenes ends like.. ok? it ends already?? feel. The ending also underwhelming. This episode did not do well enough.

Action, betrayal and tough women

I love Ivana. Love her character. Cunning, tough, hot looking, in control. She would be a fantasy to get to sleep with her. She definitely has contributed to this series.

Clark still being Clark!! Octavia's development as a leader is very dark and interesting. The character Diyoza looks to be valiant foe! Bellamy thought Octavia would listen about Echo lol that's going to be fun

Very Good episode

Warning: Spoilers
Season 5 is the best season yet and in episode 5 of the season you get to know more about the world they are living in. It is most about that saving lives. Clarke have almost the same roll as Abby which is saving lives. Octavia being a pain in the ass and she is in a dark moment now. Can't wait for the next episode and it sucks that they are taking a one week break. See u next time. Favorite character this episode is Clarke for sure.

Someone tame Octavia please
Abdulxoxo14 August 2020
O started to get annoying, she's the only one that's obsessed with the stupid "wonkru" stuff. Infact, most of the characters are pretty one-dimensional. And Why are the second-in-commands always tougher than the actual commanders? I noticed this with every baddie of the show.

The 100 is just an endless cycle of changing which characters you like and hate almost episode by episode

Warning: Spoilers
Clarke doesn't want to kill echo lmao. Bellamy is her found family not a love interest. I think that forcing your own people to fight to the death is so much worse than launching a pre-emptive attack on people that had been attacking your and yours since you landed on Earth. Pike was so more much reasonable than Octavia. Survival of the human race is overrated in this show, they always think that they're the only ones, but even when convinced that they are, still doing war crimes and mass murders. The thing is that Octavia took a page out of Clarke and early Arks leaders book of making sure the majority survives, if Octavia didn't make all sorts of criminals fight which would eventually reduce population so that the majority of them could survive then they all would have died and to Octavia she didn't know if there was any of human life elsewhere, she had no way of knowing in Bellamy and everyone else who went up to space survived so she needed to make sure people in the bunker survived in case they were the only human life on earth left. I don't think that Clarke looked jealous exactly, if you pause on that frame she just seems kinda surprised, which makes sense since Echo had been their enemy. Octavia on the other hand looked downright murderous.

What's the point?
mdb-0653029 January 2024
So now we are down to 814, how many of them are the original Arkadia people? Does it really matter? Who are Kane and Abby really trying to save at this point? Does anyone have a "my people" or an "our people" to care about? Things weren't messed up enough they had to give Abby a drug problem? Quite unoriginal if you ask me.

Season 5 is clearly departure and a way to reboot the show by introducing a new set of characters only to resort back to it's original tribalism ways filled with fighting and blood and more fighting and more blood. Same story, different names. I will say there is nice growth with the Octavia and Emori characters. Murphy is still Murphy and everyone else is still the same, not really any growth. More of the same backstabbing, deal making along with someone reminding Kane...."but you floated my"... husband, or wife, or father, etc. Which by the way would be how many years now?

But as I have said before, I am sticking with it..LOL...this is the worst season so far though.
