Some storyline's goal that has been prolonging from the first episode now ends. It feels like climax thing. This episode delivers that feel. It's a great one though, intense and interesting.

Warning: Spoilers
Everything I said I DID NOT want to happen happened in the very next episode. Indra vs Gaia in the pit? I don't include Bellamy because they would not dare kill him off. Octavia was a favorite character and I still love her, though I think she needs to calm down with channeling her inner Slingblade. Seriously, did she smoke fifty cartons of cigarettes a day while she was in the bunker? I'm glad she showed she still had a soul, judging by the tears in her eyes at the end of the episode. She had fought to stay in power so long and not show any mercy that she's put herself in an awful predicament.
Clarke continued to be Clarke, willing to kill anyone as long as whoever she cares about at the moment is safe. Madi is stepping up. I think she would make a terrific commander, putting an end to the war within the clan and against the Eligius group. Hopefully Octavia can finally put her pride aside and spare the lives of Bellamy and Indra. Gaia is expendable, IMO. Murphy did what he does best, cause strife and tension between groups. The rest of the cast was just there.
McCreary needs to go away and crawl back to the generic bad guy school he learned from. Maybe it's the hairdo, but I just find him annoying, not threatening. Vinson, on the other hand, would make a great ally...until he turns on you and eats your face or something. Diyoza has a lot of potential and could be a true asset, but sadly I do not see her surviving the season as there are already too many people who consider themselves "leader". No way will she just surrender control.
Miller...WTF? When did you become a henchman? You were so cool at one time. I really need to know more about this dark year to figure out why your personalities all changed so drastically. Did y'all have to eat each other? Geez. Eat a Snickers.
This is still not my favorite season but I have to admit I cannot stop watching it. So many strong characters and they all shine. Kane seems to have taken a backseat and Abby is just annoying with her willingness to do anything to keep getting pills. For all its faults, The 100 is still an amazing show.

Clarke has all the right to be piss of,, don't mess with her daughter. Octavia reminds me of Katniss Everdeen. Katniss won one Hunger Games (aka a fight to the death) and later became the face of a revolution against the Capitol (aka government who started the fights to the death). Katniss wasn't meant to lead she was just meant to motivate people into fighting against the Capitol. Katniss was just doing what the people in charge of the revolution told her to do. That is kind like the situation with Octavia except that Octavia was the one in charge. I mean she won the Conclave (aka fight to the death) and saved all the clans. She gave people hope that they could make it through the bunker. She could motivate people but Octavia wasn't prepared for leadership at all. She had advisors so she had a little help. But she still had to make some decisions on her own and with her being the leader she had to take full responsibility of her actions regardless if her advisors told her to do it or not. She is still motivating people now. 6 years of horror in the bunker and she hasn't broken yet. You will understand what happened in the dark year soon, but i side with Clarke and Octavia in this episode. Bellamy poisoned Octavia, Indra murdered a guard, and Gaia committed treason. Just because they had good intentions doesn't make it okay to poison and murder. Bellamy completely disregards Clarke and what the mother wants for her child. Even if lexa ascended at the same age, Madi wasn't trained to be a warrior and leader like Lexa was. This was one of the VERY few times I've agreed with Bellamy and I give him props. People say "madi is just a child" but that is Grounder tradition. Lexa was apparently same age when she became Commander and we all know the flame gives guidance and intelligence. Plus Madi is the RIGHTFUL heir and has what other nightbloods didn't, a real support system. And Lastly Octavia is a terrible leader. She is an assassin/warrior. No real leadership or diplomatic skills, she rules with fear& control and clearly lets her emotions cloud her judgement. I love that Inda acknowledged they dropped with ball with advising her.
What. An. Episode.

WOW! 5x09 is easily one of the best episodes of Season 5 so far. This was an absolutely incredible episode from start to finish. So much stuff went down that it was almost hard to keep up with! Can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out!
10/10 episode!

Indra tries to keep Wonkru together. Bellamy struggles to do the right thing. Spacekru tries to turn the prisoners against each other.
This season continues to blow me away. I don't know how, and I don't know why this didn't happen earlier. But it is very apparent in this episode. With The 100, you don't get an easy way out. Everything is complicated. And that's what makes it so damn exciting.
I am so looking forward to the next episode. And I am very positive that this season will do nothing but continue to blow me away.

This show has its ups and downs - there are some episodes where the acting and screenwriting is so so
But man is it worth it for episodes like this - it is SO intense!! The characters reactions and emotions and relationships are all really coming together. And what a great plot as always!!

What an episode, the character development continued nicely giving us a closer look into where the characters loyalty lies. I really am not enjoying Octavia as a character anymore i feel she is turning into a character that is reminiscent of Pike, the killing without thought and everyone is wrong to have any thought thats against her. I think she needs to see that sometimes war isn't the way to find peace and its annoying she cant see that but it keeps the story going although i feel like it may end with Octavia losing her life. Otherwise an amazing episode i'm glad that Madi has been given the Flame i feel this could come back in further episodes and split up Wonkru with some old grounders following Madi as she has the spirits of the commanders with her which could help to get peace with Diyoza. This most likely wont happen as i see Octavia going straight to war and Clarke not allowing Madi to go bad near Wonkru. Can not wait for future episodes and what it holds for the series!
