Only bad part is knowing there will not be any more...

Following the incomprehensible decision by Starz to put first run episodes of "Ash vs Evil Dead" on directly opposite "The Walking Dead", the series comes to a brilliant end with another kick-a** episode.

Only problem is that the build to the next season was SO good, and would likely have been SO AWESOME, that it makes you extra sad that Starz doubled down on their terrible decision by cancelling the show. I know that Bruce has said that he's played Ash for the last time, but the show is doing very well on Netflix so maybe they pony up an offer he can't refuse.

Watch and enjoy!

10 out 10 for the finale....

HAIL TO THE KING! This end has to be one of the better one in the cemetery of canceled shows. I love Ash's new Delta 88 at the end. The only disappointment is knowing that there will not be a fourth season.

A Groovy End
germ-1470630 April 2018
The Evil Dead is a great series of movies and the show an incredible follow up. The finale was a well put together piece of entertainment that left me wanting more. Though sad to see Ash's saga come to a close, happy for the journey it took me on. I felt this was one of the better episodes in the series. A must see for fans of Ash Williams and The Evil Dead. Hopefully this show gets picked up by another network or streaming service! In a world full of dull tv, this show was a bright spot. Hail to the King!

Hope netflix picks up

This is a great show I have seen all the episodes I would watch them again. I know season 1 & 2 are on Netflix now so I know season 3 will be on to. So the way season 3 ended there can be a season 4.

At least it ended in style.

Warning: Spoilers
After a few disappointing episodes, I was a bit worried that this final season of Ash vs Evil Dead would end with a damp squib; fortunately, they saved the best till last. The Mettle of Man wraps things up in spectacular fashion with evil on a global scale, deadites everywhere and a massive demon, Kandar the Destroyer, causing chaos. There's loads of great gore - a head pulled off, an exploding head, Kelly firing her machine gun into a deadites face - and the special effects used to bring Kandar to life are superb, the CGI as good as many a big budget blockbuster (love the creature design as well).

At the end, Ash goes it alone to deal with Kandar, driving a tank and loading the Kandarian dagger into the gun. Earth is safe once again, but not forever, as the very last scene shows: Ash is woken in the future, greeted by a very sexy robot (played by the gorgeous Jessica Green), and gets behind the wheel of a Mad Max style car to drive into the wastelands where evil is once again at large.

I'm happy that they left things on such a great note, and think that 3 seasons was plenty - for the time being. Perhaps in a few years or so, someone will reboot the TV series. For now, Ash and friends deserve a break. And so do I.

Ash vs Evil is an endless battle ...
Aktham_Tashtush29 April 2018
And that's a wrap for a hugely successful show, but who knows what goes in the producers and Starz minds so they cancel it so prematurely like this.

After the movie's surprising success (by movie i mean the first one back in 1981) I really did not see that project could become anything more tan just another Meh trilogy,, but man i was wrong !! these thirty episodes just were an unbelievable journey to Bruce Campbell building back his legitimate legacy.

The final scene is promising, another network "might" pick up the show to live another season , that did not happen yet, so we can only wish .. Amazon, Hulu or gosh! Netflix please !!! :D

Warning: Spoilers
Well let's start with the end it ended with a big bang! (with taste for more... blood :) ) it was really nice to see again bruce campbell reclame the role of ash to see again all Hercules gang (raimi, lawless and campbell) and a big surprise to see again the wonderful lee majors (acting as great as i remember him ) kicking ass .

spoiler ----- when the episode ended in the future it remind me the end of evil dead 2 ,when ash find himself transfer to the Medieval it damm shame that it got canceled , it still had a lot of potential and we need more blood , or to put in ash wards "give me some sugar .."

Finished at the right time
Leofwine_draca20 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So here we have the final-ever episode of the show and it's something totally different, an all-out war between future mankind and a giant Kandarian demon wreaking havoc on the world. It's obvious all the budget and effort was put into this and it's a great kaiju homage with wonderful spectacle and decent FX. Great fun to having something new on the screen, and I reckon they finished this show in the right place.

Season Three Review
southdavid21 February 2022
Oh man. Somehow, I let two years pass between finishing the second season of "Ash vs. Evil Dead" and watching the third and final run. What's really odd about that is that I loved the first two seasons and, though I do think the third is rehitting some of the same beats again, so perhaps it was the right time to end the show, this third season was a lot of fun too.

Having established himself in Elk Grove, it is sadly not long before evil comes to find Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) again. Ruby (Lucy Lawless) gets control of the Necronomicon and uses it to fashion a new child, this one a clone of Earth's unlikeliest hero himself. Ash though has his own parenting issues, when an old flame tells him that he has a daughter, Brandy (Arielle Carver-O'Neill) and that she is in trouble.

I mean, largely it's more of the same ultra-gory slapstick violence as our heroes trying to win back the book and overthrow the evil in the town. The effects are generally physical, so practical make up, puppets and dummies - this can make them generally unsettling - but there is some CGI blending, one such scene is perhaps the shows standout moment. In the second episode, Ash fights a pin up model who attacks him from within the pornographic magazine he's looking at. Some of the blending of special effects in that sequence are truly magnificent.

But, as I say, the show is remixing its plotlines already. Ruby has another offspring, this time Kelly is killed, and must be rescued from the underworld and Pablo "goes bad". This is as well as one more trip to the series classic idea of Ash facing another version of himself.

It's an excellent time, both this season and the series overall, but I do think this was the right time to end this incarnation and allow the story to move on in other mediums.

Animated 4th season?
jasongoodhead2 August 2021
Netflix should do an animated "limited series" that picks up from the end of season 3 with series actor voice over. Just sayin'

Mediocre season with an interesting cliffhanger
MisterKino28 September 2020
Honestly the show should have just stopped at its 2nd season. With the repetitive plot threads and mediocre storytelling, I'm not surprised this was cancelled. Would it have killed them to let any of the main characters stay dead? Based on how this last season played out, I don't see any way it could have lived up to the cliffhanger. Don't get me wrong, I'd still be down a continuation of the series (in tv or movie form). I just have a hard time believing it would be any good or better than what we already got.

Awesome!

Warning: Spoilers
Brilliant, took me back to when I first watched the original films. Please bring Ash back for more.

A follow up to Army of darkness would be great!

The end of the last episode made it look like there could be more to come in a 'Mad Max' style world which would be greatly received.

"Descansa en paz", Dead End
reddit-fsb29 April 2018
Paradoxically, the best about this parodic episode is that it's the last one.

Besides, it was nice to see Bruce Campbell's 1st dramatic acting, though the meltdown was clearly unfounded.

So, if Sam Raimi lets someone to answer the remaining questions from his original trilogy, we get only more unanswered questions & the Dead End (instead of Evil Dead).

Now there's only 1 way - Evil Dead 4. My favorite... Yes, it's already come, and they didn't recognize it. It's like Richard Donner's Superman II: short, but authentic, genuine, solid & hard as a rock - "join us!" with Maestro Raimi & Co' "El Jefe" (A.K.A. "Ash vs Evil Dead"). P.S. Little Lori was 3 times better than "Kandar".

The Mettle of Ash
nebohr14 August 2022
What can I possibly say? The ultimate closure to the most elegantly campy horror show ever to be seen in this, or any other, universe. The "Apocalypse Now" helicopter blades effect was right on.
