The world is in awe with the recent release of the terrifying yet iconic film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. With the two gigantic monsters teaming up to kill a larger third monster, the movies are often related to the gigantic scales of the sets, monsters, and events.
In Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, a pink Godzilla is seen with a menacing look. Although it is a very cool look, it doesn’t even come close to the most terrifying Godzilla yet! Appearing in films in 2017 and 2018, this Godzilla is also known as “The Planet Eater”!

U.S. audiences tend to accept Toho's earlier Godzilla movies as being high camp, usually thanks to Gen-x's half-remembered airings of late-'60s kaiju flicks broadcast on Uhf TV channels back in the 1980s. While there are some absurd and terrible Godzilla films from the Showa era (1954-1975), and many of them contained surreal, kitschy plot elements like invading aliens, one might also find several movies -- "Gojira," "Destroy All Monsters" -- that focus on Japanese national pride, the role of destructive weapons in the world, and a barely-simmering resentment lingering after a massive attack on the country. If modern superhero movies sprung from the U.S. subconscious as a fantastical revenge/preventative measure against 9/11, so too did Godzilla spring fully formed from the trauma left behind by the U.S.' atomic bomb attacks.
In the original "Gojira," that is literal. The titular creature, a stories-high amphibious animal,...

The full body shot and one image of the action figure can be seen at the bottom of this article. More images of the figure can be found at Godzilla-Movies.com.

Dragons are a part of nearly every major culture. While some of us seem to think that this means they were once real creatures that terrorized our ancestors, it’s more likely that there’s something inherently and universally fascinating about reptilian monsters hovering above humankind on the food chain.
That’s why it makes sense that there are so many unique dragons in media, both friendly and demonic. However, some of these fire-breathing creatures are more monstrous than others, and that’s why we’ve decided to compile a list of six of the scariest dragons in film, as we horror hounds tend to prefer fantasy stories with a hint of darkness.
To be included on this list, dragons need to stand out in either their villainous behavior or nightmarish design, but they don’t necessarily have to appear in a traditionally scary movie. And for the purposes of this article,...

The war for market share in Japan’s streaming market is being waged on the anime battlefield. In March, telco giant Ntt Docomo announced the fixed-rate Disney Deluxe package that will include titles from Disney, Pixar and Marvel. The move closely followed an announcement by Netflix, which launched in Japan in 2015, about partnerships with anime studios Anima, Sublimation and David Production.
“Particularly for anime, our aim has been to become the most compelling and attractive home for creators, production studios and fans,” says John Derderian, director, Japan and anime, Netflix. “The company is committed to increasing our investment in anime as the audience for the content grows on the service — and we believe there is a lot of room to grow.”
The net result is that Netflix and other key players could be turning the future of Japan’s famously inflexible film industry into a matter of getting on board...

“In Gods & Heroes we wanted to tell a wholly original story set in the beloved world of Greek mythology,” said creators Vlas and Charley Parlapanides in a statement. “We are thankful for such an amazing cast and for such great creative partners at Netflix and Powerhouse Animation, who continue to push the envelope and expand the anime genre in a manner we had only dreamed of.”
The Parlapanides will serve as writers and executive producers.

The third and last part of the animation series puts a rather impressive conclusion in the trilogy, as more of the legendary monsters come to screen to accompany Godzilla, although not in the way one would expect. Let us take things from the beginning, though.
The film continues exactly where “Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle” left off. Following Mechagodzilla City’s destruction, the remaining Bilusaludo want Haruo to be brought to justice for foiling what they saw as necessary to defeat Godzilla, whilst the humans disagree, believing they have exposed their true intentions of assimilating Earth. The Bilusaludos revolt and take over the Aratrum’s engine room, cutting power to the ship and forcing it to run on secondary batteries, which can only last for two days. Down on Earth, Metphies religious fanatism has reached new levels, planning to bring Exif’s God, Ghidorah, to Earth, in order...

With no plan B,C or even Z, Haruo must make a harrowing choice that will destroy Godzilla but may also end the planet in Godzilla: The Planet Eater.
The final part of Netflix’s polarizing but interesting Godzilla anime trilogy is out and for fans of the series will feel satisfied with its character driven conclusion.
Continuing on from where we left off in City on the Edge of Battle with Metphies of the Exif revealing the name of their god to be fan favourite King Ghidorah, The Planet Eater tackles more of a religious central plot that has been building over the past films in the trilogy and expands on strong themes of humanity and its bid to continually survive. As we rejoin our surviving humans led by Haruo, with their willpower (along with resources) at a critical low, a large portion of them begin to turn to...

We've included a trailer for the film below (via New Trailer Buzz), and head over to Netflix to check out the movie for yourself!

The ambitious, nihilistic Godzilla anime trilogy comes to a close with its grandest entry that may frustrate some, but feels fitting.
Movies
Godzilla is such a fascinating property because he’s been around for over six decades and is arguably a larger cinematic icon than James Bond. The beast has gone through a number of reinventions over the years, but the most interesting of these facelifts have taken place in more recent years. Filmmakers have gone out of their way to deliver movies that aren’t your standard action-packed Godzilla endeavors.
After some of the more progressive, ambitious takes on the character, such as Shin Godzilla or Gareth Edwards’ reimagining of the franchise, the character is allowed to be more of a cipher that can hint at heavier issues. Yes, Netflix's Godzilla anime trilogy is about giant monsters that engage in all-out combat with the fate of a planet at stake,...

Netflix’s anime Godzilla trilogy has suffered in some ways from the staggered method of its release. The human race is on the brink of oblivion. The “wings of its demise” descend before its eyes. This is the concluding chapter of the animated feature film series, Godzilla (aka “Anigoji”). 20,000 years into the future, the Earth is ruled by Godzilla. Pitted against him are the straggling remnants of the human race. The final chapter, Godzilla: The Planet Eater, finds the Mechagodzilla city, the peak of scientific evolution and mankind’s best hope, burned to cinders. Godzilla Earth reigns supreme but he has one more challenge: the winged creature,...
