Intriguing but unconvincing concept
I_Ailurophile13 August 2021
Stars Sam Neale and Kristel Buckley give fine performances as Lux and Dee. Filming locations, set design, and costume design are given careful consideration. Visual effects and makeup are great, and I appreciate the obvious foundational inspiration from 'Color out of space.' Yet all these elements have difficulty counterbalancing the profound suspension of disbelief that this short film requires in its root premise. Moreover, however well it's executed, the unconventional core of the narrative is teased out into a very conventional trope. These critiques don't mean that 'Chromophobia' isn't entertaining, but our enjoyment is somewhat inhibited. The result is a short that's an okay watch if you come across it, but don't go out of your way to find it.

Good effort. Better luck next time.

frienship's eulogy

A short film about friendship, ambiguous menace and proff of great skills from design, make up, visual effects and option for location. Result - fair atmosphere.

The only problem remains the story. Who seems, sure, not new thing for a short film, too...supperficial.

A nice film. And dramatic atmosphere.

Good ? In high measure for noble intention. I saw it as eulogy of friendship, vulnerability . And , between yellow and red, as image of reactions front to save the other.
