"Trash truck" the cartoon series is a return to simple age appropriate cartoon stories for preschoolers. This series perfectly captures the innocence and thought process of a preschooler. Minus all the obnoxious intense, fast pacing and toy marketing. Story first. The relationships between the characters are respectful and thoughtful with just the right amount of whimsy. This show demonstrates how a preschooler has the potential to use their imagination as a tool to navigate the every day world around them. I grew up on Glen Keanes character illustrations myself. Glen Keane productions on Netflix is one of my favorite things to happen during this dismal year. I'm so happy to share this show with my 3 year old son knowing the content is thoughtful and high quality. Cannot say enough good things!

I usually hate kids shows but this is one that I don't mind watching over and over. The animation and music are wonderful. The characters are adorable. Overall, just a very sweet show!

This show hits just the right spot for this Kiwi British family watching in Auckland. We love it - a mix of the gentle BBC shows and Pixar animation - an instant hit with our little boy, who also happens to have a sister called olive! Dad loves all the background humour and the gorgeous early morning or evening glow... a well travelled Aussie character in the mix is a treat too haha!

This series is fun for both kids and adults. There is an emotional and educational theme for growing little minds and entertainment and real world scenarios for today's life. Well played Netflix

I just read a review that headlined "for Caucasian's Only." If the color of someone's skin is the first thing that you notice, diversity is not your primary concern. Great show for children of any ethnicity. The child talks to a trash truck, a bear, and a raccoon. Children and parents need to listen more to the moral of the story with good television shows, than the characters giving the messages.

The date was March 25 2021, the weather was cool but my temper was not. I was sitting through hour 3 of "Fruit Salad, yummy yummy" sung by what I can only describe as a group of hippy's on acid who all happen to think they're Australian. My son had accidentally got ahold of the remote and somehow switched the show to something new, something gentle, something nostalgic.... and that show my friends was: Trash Truck!

It is a wonderful blend of non-wiggles related content and more non-wiggles related content. The stories are wonderful, the animation is wonderful and it also has nothing to do with The Wiggles.

All in all it's a fantastic show... did I mention it has nothing to do with The Wiggles?

A cute little show that reminds me of something Melissa & Doug would make. A perfect show for parents who don't want hidden messages or annoying people and cartoons. My 2 year old thinks the pizza episode was so funny and silly. All the characters are warm and fuzzy, and it's nice to hear Kevin - I mean Brian, in my kids show.

There are not many Netflix shows my son and I enjoy together. This is definitely one of them! Absolutely love it.

My last cartoon review got a disastrous ratio (20 out of 20 people hated on it, but the show I reviewed wasn't even that good), but hopefully the ratio on this review will be better, because Trash Truck is an outstanding preschool show.

I love Disney movies, and the mastermind behind many of them was Glen Keane - The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, you name it. He retired from Disney and went on to pursue his own things. His own projects have been outstanding so far. Over the Moon was a great Netflix movie and my favorite animated film this year. This preschool show, which all of the Keane family is involved in, is also great.

The animation is beautiful, worthy of Pixar. The stories are quaint but not boring, and the whole show is heartwarming, because it's about the friendship between a boy, his garbage truck, and their talking animal friends. There's also a strong emphasis on family, and the characters are all unique in their own way.

There's something for everyone - there's great animation, good role models, strong characterization, comedy, heartwarming moments, talking animals, and a garbage truck. Definitely watch it if you liked Disney or Over the Moon.

My son and I just finished Season 1. Relaxing show to watch before bed. Trash Truck's character is adorable! It cracks me up that he can do things like fit in Hank's house and cross a log. There is something so poignant about how Trash Truck lifts Hank up and carries him on his "shoulders." Delightful!

The most adorable show. My 1yr old baby is obsessed with Trash Truck and Hank. The stories are adorable. Thank you guys for making the sweetest show.

My roommates 3 year old likes it, but the episodes are too short, and with only 12 episodes I got tired of having to rewatch them again every hour. What I don't get is why the garbage truck can't talk if the animals can talk. I despise kids shows that have grunting and moaning characters without dialogue.

I stumbled across Trash Truck with my 2 year old and we are both in love! I love the animation, characters, and theme song. It holds his attention and makes him laugh out loud. We will be eagerly awaiting a second season and recommending this to all my mom friends.

What I love:

• Interesting plots that aren't too complicated for my 2 year old to understand.

• Pleasant central characters: the creators some how managed to inuíte an oddball group (Trash Truck, a little boy, a Bear, a Raccoon, and a Mouse) and make them a fun, cohesive group.

• The language is simple and the dialogue is basic enough for my infant daughter to be able to understand much of it. She's actually using works she learns watching the show.

• Genuinely enjoyable family dynamic - who doesn't Love Olive? Also, Mom and Dad's brief appearances keep the show grounded in reality.

• The episodes are entertaining - ESPECIALLY season 2. Do yourself a favor and watch "Beach Day" on Season 2. It's an absolute masterpiece!

Things I don't love:

• only one thing - I WANT MORE EPISODES PER SEASON!!!! Give me like 30 ten minute episodes ;)

We are VERY selective when it comes to shows we let our 2 year old watch. This show is at the top of our list of favorites with the likes of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. It is slow paced and sweet, with kind and polite characters. No subliminal messages, and nothing scary or intense. Just wholesome, happy TV for little ones, with silly scenes that make both my toddler and I laugh out loud! This show checks all the boxes, and was clearly created by parents! I sure hope the series is continued, we are big, big fans.

My son adores this and its so relatable. Some subtle big kid lessons woven into a fun set of innovative characters. Always culminating in the simple universal things that make all of us happy. This is one kids show I don't mind binge watching.

Not only is this cartoon well written, but it debuted at a time when my granddaughter noticed the 'Trash Truck' outside! She runs around yelling trash truck, trash truck. When outside, the driver noticed her interest, so when he comes by he stops and raises the bin, dumping everything into the truck! She loves it! Then when they want trash truck to fly they go to an airport and talk to a pilot. My granddaughter knows her grandpa flies planes and she said papa fly! For us, the timing of this debut was fantastic!

I'm pretty selective with what I let my almost two year old son watch and we both love this show! My son is obsessed with everything about it down to the catchy whistle theme song. I hope they make more episodes!

When I found this animation, I literally could not believe it was real. My son LOVES trash trucks and looks like the little boy, Hank. It was like the show was created just for him. I thought my son's obsession was a little much, but clearly there is an audience for it. Now I just wish there was a HighBeam toy out there! Thank you to the creators for bringing this adorable story to life!

This show is cute. The visuals are nice. They're gentle on little one's eyes. The slow dialogue is perfect. There aren't any flashy images. It's great. But it stops at that. It's not diverse at all. It is only white people. And very rarely will you see someone of color even in the background. I'm teaching my child to include others and that everyone is different. But this show doesn't teach him that, so I'm going to pass.

So happy to have found this show accidentally! We spent all of 2020 watching and getting tired of Cocomelon, my husband and I were so over the songs! Found Trash Truck, and we thought no way is our rambunctious little one year old grandson going to sit through such a pleasant little show, right from the start he sat down and was immediately engaged. I hope there are a dozen more seasons ahead. My husband and myself truly enjoy watching this over and over again with our grandson, we whistle the happy theme song all day and it doesn't get annoying. Do yourself a favor, unwind with this series. The voices, the content and the calmness of this soothing and beautifully animated show will forever be in our home and our grandchildren's homes. Good on you for putting this out there for us! Thank you!

My two year old watches these episodes over and over again! I have to say we don't mind watching them with him! They are so cute! Love the bear and the raccoon! They are so funny! I REALLY hope Netflix continues to make new episodes!

This beautifully animated series follows a little boy with his friends (a trash truck, a mouse, raccoon and bear) as they play and learn about the world. The light-hearted tone of the show makes it an absolute joy to watch and will entertain all ages, the innocence of the characters is suitable for a very young audience whilst the script and screenplay keeps older viewers engaged.
