Nicely tragic and restrained

A lonely loss adjuster saves his money and lives for the day when he can get his internet girlfriend the money she needs to get to the US and live with him. From the outset there is no doubt in the mind of the viewer that this is a scam, catfish, or something of that nature - so there isn't any twist or plot drama to be had here. Instead the short film is focused on letting the lead character play out his deluded fantasy; he means no harm to anyone, and the small moments of his life help show us why he would be so easy to be scammed - and it makes the film more impacting that he is treated with respect as opposed to being mocked.

The very delicate and restrained manner of delivery is matched by the light colours and music, and it produces a sense of non-judgemental innocent tragedy within the life of this one character. For all its simplicity and restraint, this is a great little short film.

decent

You recognize the traits of old fairy tales and the fantasies of the teenagers , the illusions made in the loneliness , the naive sketches about future and innocent poetry of a too long childhood period. So, decent, amusing, touching in a form who remains only at the status of sketch.
