Antz (1998)
i loved it and i despise family film!
I hate family film, just HATE IT! but Antz was terrific. The script had these subliminal political george orwell like messages and woody allen doing the voice for Z was hilarious. go see this movie even if you hate kid flicks.
The Art of War (2000)
I've seen more grace in a prison rape
this movie sucks! don't waste your time unless your in the mood to puke because your watching something so bad! This movie is just plain trite, and filled with poorly executed and overtkill gratouitous violence. So, for the love of god, don't watch this movie
10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
not my usual movie, but i loved it any way
I hate teen movies. But I've seen this ten times, don't ask me why, maybe because it's really shakespeare, don't ask me. Anyway, this is a terrific movie for those who have a more skeptical view of the world, and of course those who love a good laugh- i love them white rastas!
A Clockwork Orange (1971)
An amazing film on so many levels
This is an awesome film, just awesome. The film is just warped and surreal, but at the same time beleivable, since It would be nice if the old ultraviolence didn't exist, so we would love to see a cure, but then the film deals with the issue that people are who they are, and if they're bad people, so be it, they're humans, not lab rats. The way the film is shot is amazing and the acting is superb, i can't find one fault, this is definitely one of Kubric's best!
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
the realest unreal movie you'll ever see
Youre on a different plain of existance while watching Darren Aronofski's Requiem for ad dream. Instead of the usuall review, I'm going ot list 5 reasons why this is easilly one of the best art house films ever made.
1. The acting is supperb
2. The cinematography is amazing
3. The direction will blow your mind
4. The film has the power to mannipulate emotions and force anyone to cry
5. Goddam! this is an all around amazing experience, with an intangible feeling brought on by the drama
Followers (2000)
Great Indy Film
I saw followers in a theater that was filled with Jessica Prunell' (cynthia) friends. I was amazed. It was a great independent drama. The story is great, and it does what alot of films fail in, be real. There are few movies that actually capture the way people really speak, the vernacular is the best part this movie. The cinematography is very interesting. The entire film is made like a hybrid of a professional low budget film- and a college film school project.
Anyway, if you get the chance, this movie is excellent, and i suggest that everyone goes and sees it, and then they'll think twice about joining a frat.
Arlington Road (1999)
Whoah
This is a heavy movie about the people who's paranoia and suspicion turn out to be the truth. In Arlington Road, we have a college professor who teaches a course on terrorism, so when the ideal neighbors move in next door well i know i'd like tim robbins and joan cusack next door to me) we slowly grows suspicious. As it appears his class is getting to his head, he really is correct, and whoah.
Romeo + Juliet (1996)
This is cool
When i first saw this movie i didn't think it would be any good at all being that Leonardo DeCaprio was in it. Than i saw the first scene. I was blown away, and i kept watching. This is a great movie, a very good adaptation of possibly the greatest play ever written. Baz Luhrman reminds me of Andy Warhol with his direction, and John Leguizamo is a great Tybalt. The action is great, and so is the acting.

Mars Attacks! (1996)
Oy!
When some sadistic and funny looking martians take over earth, they have a good time, and it's funny, verry funny, what else can you say? With Tim Burton you can Never go wrong, but this has to be one of his best.
The Exorcist (1973)
Its hard to call this a horror movie
In my experiences, horror films aren't scary, so that's why i don't call this a horror film, because it's terrifying!
The exorcist seems so real, which is rather strange considering how bizare it is. The emotions displayed in the film are what make it so good. A girl has been acting very strangely, masturbating with a crucifix, floating in the air, and turning green, so when her desperate mother who is tired of seeing her daughter medicated and spinal tapped, she gets a priest/psychiatrist who is questioning his faith/sanity. The young priest finds another priest who has done an exorcism before, and than a fight against satan ensueths.

Mallrats (1995)
A good review for Mallrats (about time)
Everyone says that Mallrats is'nt that good. What are they talking about? This is most fun you can have. As a huge Kevin Smith fan, it's hard to pick a favorite, but love this flick!
Mallrats is about Brody, a slacker/ comic collector, and TS Brodie's better half. The two best friends have just been dumped by their girlfriends and seek solice in the mall. At the mall they try to win their girls back, buy comics, and reek havok.

The Filth and the Fury (2000)
Anarchy, punk rock, Sid nods out, it's cool
This is the best film made about punk rock, period. What makes it so good is the way that the story of the Sex Pistols is spiked with different cultural references and gratuitous bits of raunchy fun.
Julien Temple, who as many know, directed The great Rock and Swindle, the Sex Pistol's story as told by their former Manager, Malcom McLaren. This flic tells the Pistol's story from the perspective of the serving members of the group making it more accurate, and in my opinion.
For any Sex Pistols fan, or just someone who wants something different, see this flic, trust me.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)
Just fun
Ok, this is the quintessential fun Califorina movie of the 80's. This is one of the few teen films (besides Rock and Roll Highschool) that does justice to the way teens think. Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll. It's just that simple.
Not only does this movie show how kids feel, but they have the typical teenage sex life: do anything that moves.
Nothing more i can say.
Chasing Amy (1997)
The greatest of the Greats from Kevin Smith
Leave it to the comic book collector turned indy director Kevin Smith to make a movie about a messed up relationship. A Cult comic book artist Holden McNeil (Ben Affleck) meets a hot girl (Joey Lauren Addams), Alysa Jones at a comic convention. He finds out she's a lesbian, and then falls in love with her, which is unfortunate for him, because his perfect little world is in upheaval, with a new girl friend, and his relationship falling apart with his best friend Banky (Jason Lee). This is a romantic comedy Kevin Smith style, so of course it's hilarious, check it out.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
4 stories, saidomascesism, a tasty burger, an o.d, a boxer,and a rude awakening
In Quentin Tarentino's masterpiece, Pulp Fiction, the story of two hit men, a strugling boxer, a feared and reveared crime boss and two diner robbers, we see what a great director can do.
This is a great film, on parr with Pink Flamingoes and train spotting, and very entertaining. Anyone who enjoys a fun, but at some times twisted good time, should check this out.
SLC Punk! (1998)
Anarchy, Drugs, and a hell of an essay
In this great movie about the hard to live punk life in Salt Lake City Matthew Lillard proves what a great actor he truely is. The movie Tells the story of Stevo (Lillard) and the drug phobic Heroin Bob (Michael Gorgin). The two punks live in an oppressive Salt Lake City circa 1985. Stevo, the protagonist and narator explains how living in SLC is even more dificult to be a punk in than anywhere else. He also talks about how most kids are just punks for fashion, with no political beliefs making them posers. He also talks about how rednecks are the punk's sworn enemy.
Two severed thumbs up!
