Barbie (2023)
The Most Moving Film I've Ever Seen
I'm not even joking when I say this was the most moving film I've ever seen. Going into this I expected the outcome to be one of two things: either is was going to be very dumb and bad, or it would be absolutely amazing. No in between. And now, I can confidently say that it was absolutely amazing. It made me laugh, it made me tear up, it made me feel so much more than I ever could have expected a movie about Barbies, or any toys in general, to make me feel. I genuinely believe that it is going to be one of the most influential movies of this generation.
Before I get into why specifically I loved it so much, I would like to first say that to the men out there that are calling this movie "man-hating," you could not be more wrong. If you think that, then clearly you went in with your own preconceived notions and did not pay enough attention to the message of the movie. I also am a man and this movie delivered a beautifully written feminist message that depicted unfair societal stereotypes placed onto women and proved the reasons why the patriarchy is truly a bad thing. Just because it did that, does not make it man-hating, especially since it also depicted and drew awareness to negative societal pressure placed onto men and their emotions.
Now, onto why I really loved this movie. First off, it was very funny and light hearted at exactly the right points. I liked that it left room for dramatic scenes that could really tug at the heart strings and Margot Robbie in particular delivered a very powerful performance. Yes, she had great comedic timing, but her talent really showed in more emotional scenes where Barbie felt she had to still act like her happy smiley self despite the overwhelming sadness she was feeling. Not only that, but the costumes and sets were immaculate. It was not only well written and acted, but clearly a lot of care went into the movie from the crew. Each character, even despite their limited screen time, was fleshed out and everyone did a great job making their characters unique and different from each other.
This movie made me think so much. I had to let it fester in my brain for a few days before writing a review because I had so many thoughts. I know many people wished it was more light hearted at times, but I am so glad it wasn't, because if it was, it never could have been as powerful and emotional for me. The writers and directors could have taken a more silly, childish approach, but instead they decided upon a story that could make the world a better place, and I have to commend that.
Overall, the Barbie Movie was so much more than I ever could have expected it to be and I urge anyone who hasn't yet to go watch it, especially if you have an open mind and, most importantly, an open heart. As of right now, my rating is a 9/10, but I definitely think it will increase once I inevitably watch it again. I think this movie has the potential to do a lot of good for the world.
Mystery Incorporated (2022)
10/10 Just for Nostalgia!
I have the say, I went into this not expecting very much. I expected it to be some poorly made, averagely edited YouTube-quality video and I was sorely mistaken. The quality was insanely good and I genuinely felt like I was watching something that could be on Netflix or Hulu. The plot and story were engaging and interesting to watch and there were so many aspects that avid Scooby Doo fans will obsess over like I did. Although the acting was... not great at times, I was so incredibly happy while watching and I truly enjoyed myself. I cannot wait for another episode to come out. The costumes and makeup were especially impressive and you can tell how much work and effort was put into the making of the first episode. I cannot get over how impressive everything was. You can watch it for free on YouTube and I recommend, as soon as you are done reading this review, to go watch it immediately. I know I will be watching it for a second time soon. Incredible work!
The D'Amelio Show (2021)
Why are people who watched five minutes reviewing this show???
If you watch the first five minutes and that's it, then of course you are going to think it's bad. Give this show a chance. I can't even begin to explain how awful these reviews are. These girls might be reading these awful reviews calling them "awful", "untalented", "gross", "ugly", etc. If you actually watched the show before reviewing you would know how much of a mental health struggle these girls have and it is awful that people who know nothing about them are constantly insulting them for no reason. Being someone who has struggled with mental health issues and bullying, the way these girls are treated and their reactions are completely real. If you are calling them untalented, gross, ugly, etc, I guarantee it is only because you are jealous and even more of an untalented ugly person. Give this show a chance!!!! I was very entertained and I think these girls deserve more love, whether or not you think they worked for it (which, if you watched the show, you would know they work really hard, especially for teenage girls). If you have so much hate in your heart that you feel the need to take it out on random strangers who are just trying to have fun, please, for the sake of yourself and everyone else, try to find some serious help.
Jennifer's Body (2009)
Favorite Horror Movie Ever!!!
1. This movie is a fantastic, the characters are great and show real personality, especially thanks to the acting performances.
2. I have noticed that all the people who have written about the "bad writing" in this movie never use correct grammar, punctuation, or spelling so don't listen to them.
3. This movie is written to be different, so if you compare it to other horror movies it is going to seem very odd, maybe even off-putting, but if you leave the movie on its own, it is hilarious and fun. It is not meant to be super scary, but I found all the horror aspects to be very well done and all the comedy to be very funny. Yes, there are parts of the movie that seem very odd and/or unnecessary, but those parts are what makes it realistic and amazing.
This movie is generally fantastic. Just do not compare it to others because it is not meant to be compared. It is so different in such a good way.
Loki (2021)
Seriously, why do people watch the first episode and then write a review? Watch most of the series first!
The first episode, yes, it was a little slow paced, but due to the fact that it is an introduction episode, it is going to be full of introduction. For a first episode I thought it was quite good and set the premise of the show very well. All of the one star and low reviews I have read are the people who watched the first episode and then wrote a review, rather than watching more of the series, so do not listen to those. This show is great. It is action packed, funny, and brings a whole new depth to this popular Marvel character. Please watch the show for yourself and don't listen to the reviews.
Insatiable (2018)
DO NOT TRUST THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS
Do people not understand that this show is meant to be completely illogical? It is hilarious! I don't understand why people found this boring. I've never laughed harder at a TV show. Sometimes, the acting is questionable, but this show is still awesome. I recommend this to any dark comedy fans.
Three's Company (1976)
Why do people take this show so seriously?
I'm reading all these reviews that say this show has bad writing or is illogical. Of course it is! It's a comedy. While the theme may come across as homophobic, it really doesn't bother any of the people I know who are gay. I have may gay friends who have watched this show and they all think it's hilarious. This is one of my favorite shows of all time and I am sad it ever ended. Hilarious!
The Prom (2020)
Good, but has one HUGE thing wrong with it.
This was a good movie. I was entertained and I thought the funny moments were funny (at least some of them). The music was good. This movie would be a 9/10 from em if it wasn't for one thing. James Corden. Why do people keep putting him in musicals, let alone movies. He can't sing, dance, or act. All his "funny lines" are so terribly delivered and his American accent may be the worst I've ever seen. Seriously, I like Ryan Murphy, and usually he makes good casting choices, but NO MORE JAMES CORDEN!!!! Overall the movie was good, but I don't want to watch a sweaty, out of breath potato singing off key and dancing out of sync. I heavily considered giving this movie a 1/10 just because of James Corden, but luckily, the other actors great performances halfway canceled out James Corden's awful performance.
How to Get Away with Murder (2014)
Good but BORING
The acting is great, the writing is great, the concept is great, the effects and gore are great... So why did I feel like each episode lasted forever and I was bored out of my mind? I don't fully understand it myself because this seems like the perfect show for me. After the first season, I just couldn't keep watching. I WAS SO BORED!!! I didn't really love any of the characters, although the acting a writing were both good. I don't really know. I just didn't like this show and I had high hopes for it. I was disappointed with how bored I was. I sure other people will love it though.
American Horror Story (2011)
Amazing Show!
Seriously, you have to like horror to enjoy this show. I'm reading all of these reviews that are complaining about how the seasons after season 2 are all terrible. So untrue. It's entertaining, it's got great acting, great gore, each season has a great story, and the writing is amazing. Take it from a screenwriter, writing a Tv show is DIFFICULT. There is new, original story every season and all the characters a wonderfully developed. There are people writing that this show is terrible and too political. YOU HAVE TO LIKE HORROR!!!! People just want to find something to complain about so they go and watch something they know they won't like. If you are a true horror fan like me, you'll love this. Sometimes the episodes feel long, but I'm never disinterested. I have yet to see a scene that had nothing to do with the story. I can't wait for season ten and keep and open mind about this show.
Shrek the Musical (2013)
Shrek: The Meh Musical
It's entertaining. That's the most I can say. The first fifteen minutes are so bad and cringy, but it gets better once Donkey is introduced. All the songs are okay. There are no songs I would never listen to unless I was watching the whole show. The big thing the saves this musical for me is Donkey. He is the only character that I actually found funny. While Shrek and Fiona are entertaining, Donkey was the only one that I truly enjoyed watching. Some of the singing sounded very nasally. I don't know if it was because of the audio or because of the singers, but it did not sound particularly good. Over all, this ain't my least favorite musical, but it's no where close to my favorite.
The Flash (2014)
Good
It's a good show. Sometimes repetitive, but good. It has good effects and the characters are likable. My only problem is that
Scream (2015)
Great First Two Seasons!
The first couple seasons were excellent and I always wanted to watch more. The third season, however, had bad acting and it was not as good.
Ready or Not (2019)
Hide and Go Die!
I've wanted to watch this movie for a while and today, I finally did. I thought this would be a movie that focused more on the gore rather than the character development, but I was very wrong. Not only was it hilarious, all the characters were so different. I was rooting for the protagonist (Samara Weaving) the whole time, which I don't normally do, and I wanted the villains to lose so bad. The characters were What mainly stood out for me during this movie, because of the wonderful acting, but there was more I enjoyed. Everything in the movie was so creative, even the script, characters, murders, and set and costume design. I was never bored for single second watching this movie and I would gladly watch it again. My only complaints were is was not very scary and sometimes the decisions characters made were a little questionable, but those are both minor things in my opinion. Some people have said that the ending was not good, but I disagree. It was little anticlimactic, but it was, in general, a great and very good ending. Overall, this was an excellent movie and I recommend it to any horror and/or comedy fans.
A Simple Favor (2018)
Wow, wow, WOW!!!
Ever since I saw the trailer, I've been dying to see this movie and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Not only did it meet my standards, it went WAY past my standards. It was such a great plot with such talented acting. Some people might say it's too complicated, but all you have to do to understand it is pay attention. I found the set and costume design to be extraordinary and the acting was perfect. Both Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively gave it their all and you can truly tell. The plot is a whole different story... It may be the best plot I've ever seen. It has so many pieces to it but the talented writers didn't forget a single thing, including minor details. Props to the writers who made each character distinct and fun to watch, along with creating a full, complete mystery, which is very difficult to do. I love watching a mystery movie where I have no questions at the end of the movie and this was one of those types of movies. Congratulations, A Simple Favor, you have earned your place in my top three favorite movies.
Fuller House (2016)
Corny but Entertaining...
This show is surprisingly good. It's not the best comedy. It's not the best TV show. It doesn't have the best characters. The script isn't the best. But... It is entertaining. It is a great spin-off for a show we all used to love. Although, it is more corny than funny, it is still entertaining and a good show to watch when you are bored. It tries to deal with large themes, such as bullying, and sometimes in succeeds, and other times it just turns out cringy and unrealistic, but I don't mind. I do like most of the characters, but others I find dumb and unnecessary. It is still a fun show and I will always love it, despite it's flaws.

Too Many Questions
So... Where do I begin? I DID NOT like this show. Not only did I find it bad and unfunny, but there were so many unanswered questions that should have been answered in the first season. It was boring, and the acting was not good. The main part of the plot, the mystery, was never fully answered and viewers were just supposed to understand who the killer was based off a line and a single flashback. It was stupid. All the characters were obnoxious and detestable. There were so many stupid, random scenes that were completely pointless. This might be my least favorite show of all time and that's saying something. The only upside of this show was the set design, but that was overshadowed by the bad effects. I do not recommend this show to anyone, unless they want to plug their ears, scream, or fall asleep.
Community (2009)
Better than The Office
This show is one of the best I've ever seen. It's not completely perfect and some storylines are just plain stupid, but besides that, I loved it. It is over the top and insane at times, but that's what I love about it. It's not afraid to be different. The acting in hilarious and each character is wonderfully different. I love this show and I need to rewatch it. It is the best sitcom I've ever seen and I personally feel is is twice as good as The Office. It has more things you can laugh out loud at and each episode keeps me interested. I don't think I was bored watching any episodes of this show. The insane episodes are my favorites (such as the paintball episodes). I normally strongly dislike the weird episodes, but with this show it was different. I recommend this show to any comedy fans out there.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017)
Boring Books... Great Show!!!!
I began reading the books and I was bored out of my mind, so when I decided to watch the show, I was not expecting it to turn into one of my favorite tv shows. I love this show so much!!! The acting is wonderful and the show is so hilarious. Neil Patrick Harris is excellent (but that's not a surprise). All the characters, even the villains, are likable and I would rewatch this over and over again is I could. It is a little fast paced, but that is fine for me. The movie and books were terrible, but the show has certainly made the series ten times better in my eyes.
Scream Queens (2015)
Ryan Murphy has done it again!
This first season of this show is PERFECT!!! I loved it! I'm a huge murder mystery fan and this did not disappoint. It was fun the watch and the characters were all very distinct. I loved the writing and I just wanted to keep watching more and more even after I finished the show. Season 2 is not a good as the first but it is still entertaining and fun to watch. The acting is amazing and the show is hilarious. I recommend the show to lovers of movies like Scream, Mean Girls, and Heathers.
Hamilton (2020)
Overrated.
While the production design is incredible, I find this show to be INCREDIBLY overrated. Some of the songs sound exactly the same as others in the show and the main character, Hamilton, does not have a great voice. I've heard worse voices, but his voice is not one I would pay $200 to see. I found all the females in the show to be great singers and have very distinct personalities, while the show made the male characters all seem evil and bad. All the male characters had very similar personalities and they writing for them seemed lazy. Most of the males seem like they were written to be as bad as possible and they were all shallow and cruel. Overall, I don't despise this show, but I will not be watching it again any time soon.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015)
Quirky and Cute
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt may not be the best show in the world, but it certainly gets the job done. It's hilarious and you can truly tell how hard the actors worked to make this show fun and likable. Sometimes the jokes may be a little dumb, but it certainly is worth watching. All the characters are so easy to relate to and they are so fun the watch. Some episodes deal with big issues, such as racism, so this is certainly a good show to watch if you need a good comedy that can be serious at times.
Mean Girls (2004)
Danny Devito, I love this movie!!
This movie is hilarious, entertaining, the acting is amazing, and the writing is perfect. You could not have gotten a better movie and no matter how much I watch it, I always want to see it again. It is the perfect comedy.
Heathers (1988)
Dark but AWESOME!!!
I love this movie. It is a little dark, but it is hilarious and I crack up watching it every time. It is entertaining, the acting is amazing, and the characters are realistic. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen this because it is a cult classic and my favorite movie.
Clueless (1995)
Meh...
This movie funny at times, but besides that, it's pretty forgettable in my opinion. I've seen it twice and both times I've forgotten most of the unimportant things that happen. Some of the characters are completely pointless and the acting is not great. It's not terrible but it's not great. I recommend this to a anyone who is bored and doesn't know what to watch. There are plenty of movie like Clueless that are much more entertaining, funny, and fun to watch, such as Mean Girls or Heathers (I know Heathers is very different, but it is still funnier.) This movie is Meh...
