Man of Steel (2013)
Hope
This is the best live action Superman movie to date. Henry Cavill not only loves the character but enjoys playing the role and it shows. I don't understand why they are not making a sequel or Man of Steel 2.
WB seems to be on another planet other than ours disconnected to what the Earthlings want to see. The S means Hope on Krypton but apparently to WB it is despair.
Its frustrating how frequently these series are rebooted I wish we could see our favorite Superman once more in his own movie.
To me this movie is a 8/10 because I favor it to be the best Superman to date but with the right direction a sequel it could be better. You have your main actor already just give us a good sequel with a direction, setting, plot and you will not be disappointed.
"You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards..."
Batman Begins (2005)
Where it all began
The Batman Begins but somehow falls behind the Dark Knight. Its rare to see a sequel movie rated better than the first in a trilogy but in this case we have have to go back where it all began.
The Dark Knight would not have existed if it wasn't for this movie and it setting up the story properly to have such a strong foundation for a sequel. The quote from the movie "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me" can be applied directly to this movie as it gave birth to the Dark Knight and defined what the trilogy would become.
Give credit where credit is due. This movie is a masterpiece that remains in the shadows with the league of shadows :) Easy 9/10.
Joker (2019)
Psychological Masterpiece
You do not need to be a comic book fan to enjoy this movie and it will require no prior knowledge of who Joker is. To me this movie is a psychological study of a man with a hard life and the study of the sociological impacts he is faced with.
To every level of craziness there is a cause and this movie not only shows you the cause but also the effect it can have on ones life. People are not born crazy instead of dismissing individuals as outcasts they need to understand where the root of the problem is and what causes them to act the way they do for this very reason I believe everyone should see this movie.
9/10 for me.
Batman (1989)
The movie that introduced me to Batman
I was a kid in 1994 that immigrated to the US from the Bosnian war when I saw this movie for the first time. I was 5 years old and looking for some hope in this dark world and being one of the first movies I watched in the US I was captivated by it.
Watching this made me understand that even a hero like Batman gets depressed and deals with tragedy but we must always strive to be the best we can be in this world no matter the challenge. I was hooked watching every Batman movie since this but I always return to this movie as it will always be a classic in my book. I think this movie is an 8/10 but with personal reasons I rate it a 9/10.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Do your research and watch the directors cut
I just don't understand how many reviews here are for the theatrical version of the movie. There is so much missing from the theatrical movie that it breaks the story completely.
My recommendation is to watch Wonder Woman (2017), Batman Dark Knight trilogy, Man of Steel, and then Batman v Superman extended and imagine its the same Batman but older :)
I always try to watch the directors version of movies and recommend it because it was far superior. The extended directors cut is an easy 8/10.
