Such an eccentric offbeat film, a real slow burn, it gets bogged down at times but there are also many laugh out loud moments. This movie portrays a very cynical view of the political world in the United States of America at the time. Ironically today even more so. It's very much a different role for Peter Sellers, he gives a phenomenal dramatic performance!!! This is One of Shirley MacLaine's best performances in my opinion, at times she steals the show. The cinematography is outstanding, especially for the time period. The music at the beginning was a little off putting for me. Underrated!!!

I can't believe all the bad reviews... I think this movie is fantastic! Everything about it... It's a jail breakout, it's a heist, It's worth watching simply for the phenomenal performances, of this cast of exceptional young actors, before they were legends, there are several lesser-known actors that are exceptional in their own right... the music is perfectly placed, the comedy perfectly paced... it's funny, really funny! James Caan running (prancing) in & of itself is hilarious, Caan & Gould dancing, the corn field... On a side note young Michael Caine looks so much like Jude Law it's uncanny.

It's Nostalgic & the era felt authentic. The age difference is creepy though. If he was a tiny bit older & she a tiny bit younger, it still would've been "inappropriate" but palatable. The cameos really added to likability, Cooper & Penn especially. It was different & strangely engaging but also somehow lacking.

I loved it. I've not read the book so I can't compare it to that however I preferred it to the 2007 movie I saw. They definitely take some liberties, making it more modern (I'm sure, based on what I know of Jane Austen). The long shots remind me of magnificent paintings.

Too bad this didn't get more traction. It's actually a great movie. It's more than just about racing. It's got real heart & depth, shows how teammates bring different strengths to the table. Personally I love cars & racing but I think anyone can enjoy this movie.

How could this have such a low rating??? It was so good! Bryce & Chris were amazing as well as the supporting cast. The sets & locations, the cinematography beautiful! The ending was disappointing but otherwise it was phenomenal!

So much to say about this movie... First; it's entertaining all the way through. Second; Boseman is excellent, so sad we lost him so young! Additionally... I think this was Sienna Millers best performance so far. Taylor Kitsch was unrecognizable, it wasn't until they showed his "military service" photo that I even realized it was him. Stephan James, whom I never heard of prior to this, was stellar, I'd like to see more of him.
The movie for all intents & purposes was very good. The name was stupid, one reference, I think they could've come up with a better one (just off the top of my head, The Dirty 85) anyway I digress... Basically it's just another from the Hollywood propaganda machine perpetuating the idea that most cops are bad.

It's very well done, excellent script, impressive performances. If you like tearjerkers you'll love this one. At least they let you know right off the bat it's gonna be sad. For a large part of the movie I had either a lump in my throat or burning tears welled in my eyes. Not my idea of a good time 😆

I struggle with how to rate this. As for movie quality: Excellent. It's not a type of movie I usually like. It's a little long & slow imo; however there's something so beguiling about it. Charlie Hunnam is spectacular.

At face value it seems overdramatic, but you have to look past the overtness, there are so many subtleties. It's really very good! An amazing cast! Reminds me of Importance of Being Earnest also a little Abbott & Costello.

Tim Burton's style is ideal for Batman! He brings the comicbook to life, he plans every minute detail, color, pattern, everything. I think the casting is pure perfection... Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, Jack Palance. The sets, costumes, lighting, cinematography are simply amazing! My favorite rendition of The Joker. Of course Vicki Vale!!! Oh & Prince wrote & sang the songs. I also like that it's both dark & light at the same time. So many great quotes, especially from the Joker.

It had a multitude of laugh out loud funny bits but overall a little too weird for me. At times I loved it & at times I hated it. I can't decide, weirdly I'm somehow drawn to it. Lily Tomlin & Dustin Hoffman stand out in my opinion.
