This film feels stereotypical. Yet, it differs from the rest.

To try to explain: In it's way of portraying lesbians it feels a bit flat and non progressive. One is a butch, the other's not, they have hot lesbian sex but are apart from that pretty cold people. But the style of the film, the editing and general scenography differs from the previous ''lesbian movies'' I've watched. While others tend to be long drawn out borderline tedious this one is straight on the other side of the chart. It feels very shortly cut which gives it almost a documentary feel to it and I think this deprives it of some depth it desperately needed hence the non saying characters.

In another way, the documentary feel works in favour of the main focus of the movie, which is indeed very real. It helps the viewer feel how unjust the system works and how it tears relationships that lesbian couples has to go through this in order to have child.

Even though a lot of things could've been improved I do think this movie is worth the watch because it touches such an important issue. It builds itself up at the same time as it's tearing itself apart.

I've heard a lot about this series and so I thought it was time to get my hands on it, the best decision I've made in a while. This pilot is one of the better ones I've seen; it differs a bit from the rest of the episodes but it does so to really show the series potential and wide spectrum when it comes to age specific humour. I should probably mention that I am no fan of Disney shows nor cartoons or animated series in general, so an 8/10 rating on this show (which fits into both above named categories) is a great deal. The thing that I think contributes the most to making this such a great pilot is the humour. A seven-year-old can enjoy it for it's silliness and goofiness, but a 20-, 30- or even 40-year-old can enjoy it just the same thanks to the witty and sometimes dark comedy hidden between the frames. It also manages to capture people of all ages's interest with the beginning of a great mystery...

Totally got me to want to watch more, as a pilot should do.

I was made to watch this movie in Swedish-class at school, and as I think we all know; forced watching doesn't make a good first impression of any film.

But it really isn't that bad... the plot is well thought out and the acting is pretty good. The characters all have layers and a depth that adds to the plot. And if that wasn't enough the scenery is stunning.

However, that ridiculous music as taken from a car hunt in a cop movie from the 80's that's played in the horse riding scenes is hilarious. After the first time it came on I just couldn't take anything beyond that seriously. Watching it in 2016 it feels as if they made parody of their own movie, IN the movie itself.

But, even though I feel rather strongly about this whole riding-a-horse-on-the-beach-music it really is a film I think is worth watching. It's a big part of Icelandic film-history and it's very nice to see some vikings portrayed differently from the americanized barbaric stereotype.

It's when it comes to films like this that I really start to question IMDb's rating system. Because how are you really supposed to rate a film? On the plot? The acting? Cinematography? Entertainment value? Because this one has a shitty plot, okay acting, and pretty bad cinematography and special effects. But the overall suckiness makes it very entertaining. Is it thereby worthy of more stars? I think so.

The weirdness and lousy effects makes this film really funny, and if watched between 23:00 and 04:00; hilarious. Many quotable scenes that won't make sense to anyone who has not yet seen this masterpiece and many other scenes that are just cringe-worthy and better off forgotten about.

Despite of the terrible rating and overall mediocre performance this really is a film worth watching. It shows the diversity in films produced and even if you won't like it it will give you perspective on what is good and what's not and you will be able to appreciate real quality movies even more.

''Meh'' basically sums up this whole film. The acting? Meh. The story? Meh. The plot? Meh. The characters? Meh.

In all seriousness though, this is one of the most boring, mainstream ''been there, seen that'' kind of movies I've ever seen. The acting is questionable, Will Smith is a great guy and all, but come on he can do better than this! And don't even get me started on Eva Mendes...

The characters themselves aren't much too hooray for either. They are kind of hard to wrap ones head around, and not in a good, complex way but in a ''they didn't really think this through, did they?'' kind of way. The characters all do surprising and out of character moves throughout the film, which is very confusing and distracting. If it wouldn't have been for the very straight forward and foreseeable plot this film would've been even more of a mess, so I guess a lack of twist is a good thing in this case...

Are you desperate to kill one and a half hour? Watch this movie. Have you got something better to do? Then do it.

I'm a teenage girl, so the fact that I haven't watched this until now is a miracle. But oh boy what an anti climax.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of things are really good in this film. There's nothing wrong with the acting, to be honest I actually think I fell in love with Noah, and the story overall is nor too bad. The main problem is the plot. I'm usually not too good at foreseeing a plot, or at least I try to ignore it, but that was just impossible with this one. It is so obvious what's about to happen, both scene by scene by also the main plot itself. I'm a little disgusted by these really sugar coated kind of love stories but they wouldn't have to take that away, just give the story some mysteries and questions, please!

Everyone should totally watch this though, Gosling is cute as ****

I was way too young to enjoy this when it first came out but it has been on my watchlist (both the literal one here on IMDb but also before that on the more abstract one in my head) for a lot of years now since it's such a classic. But it has sadly also been one of those movies you don't think you're ready for yet, like you're saving them for that one perfect day, and so I never went on to actually watching it. Until yesterday.

I really enjoyed the whole film and the thing contributing to that matter the most is probably the plot. It's all very intriguing and original from start to finish with lots of twists and turns and interesting character development.

I also really like the special effects where the camera kind of zooms in, or goes through things, to a microscopical level, looks really cool. Although it kind of felt like they gave that whole thing up a while into the movie, and I sadly feel like that took some of the built up mystery and feel away.

But it's all okay in the end since this masterpiece of a movie came to inspire the makers of many of my other favourite movies and TV-series. It's just worth the watch, you know?

So I really didn't know what to expect when I sat down to watch this movie. Like, is it a tacky musical? Can anything good come out of a budget that low? What's the reason behind all of this commotion?

And well, I got some pretty good answers.

First off; no, it's not a tacky musical. It's a beautiful movie about two hopeless musicians who fins each other and make some darn good music. Yes, there are quite a few songs in this movie, but they're more like ''a scene where they happen to sing a song'' and not so much ''this is a really weird dialogue that could've never happened in real life''. So if there's anyone with the same stupidity as me out there, it's a music film, not a musical.

Second up; yes, good things can come from a budget like this. It is, of course, at times obvious that they had a limited budget making this movie, but the latest techniques and tricks shouldn't be your reason to watch and enjoy this movie. As a matter of fact I think that the low budget helped this movie become what it is and to achieve those qualities that I so love about it; that it's genuine and down to earth. It just wouldn't have been the same with a lot of fancy extras and some fancy cameras. This way, they've had to focus on the main things that they want to communicate which I think is that life moves quickly you just gotta hop on, see where it takes you and be alright with the fact that you can't have it all.

Lastly; I now get the commotion. 'Once' is a beautiful movie tackling some big questions that we all have in life. It has an authenticity that comes both from the actors, environments and that low budget feel that sometimes sneaks up on you.

Great movie, do watch it.

I remember watching this a couple of years back when I got home from school, but my young age restricted my from seeing this show from the beginning. So I got sick, had all the time in the world and figured I'd give it a shot, from the beginning.

Even though I already have a love for the show based, on nostalgia, I was taken aback by how good this actually is. And even more so considering this was made 15 (FIFTEEN) years ago. Yes, sure, the effects and everything isn't something to hooray for, but they're good enough not to take any value from the show as a whole. Tom Welling really is the perfect guy to play Clark Kent and the rest of the cast are doing a pretty darn good job too.

This episode is a really good pilot and shows just how you get people to like and want more of something. It makes a good recap of who this mysterious boy is, but leaves enough questions for the person watching to want more. It also gives a taste of how the episodes are gonna be like (I know this since I've watched quite a few of them before I watched the pilot).

To summarize; this really does it's job as a pilot and shows what to expect. It sets the vibe, shows what the actors are capable of and gives you an urge to find out more.

If you haven't watched Smallville, where have you been? Go watch it! And if you already have, re-watch some (or all idk), it's worth it!

Lately I've been having problems concentrating on a film, even really good ones. But this just took my breath away. The animation style is just fantastic with its watercolour look, enchanting patterns and distorted perspectives. throughout the whole thing I bought myself thinking on almost every cut ''that'd make a great art print'', that's how good it was.

I know that one cannot judge a whole film by its art style (yet in this one it makes up a great deal of the whole), and i also know that people have found the plot of this movie lacking. Well, I think that they're wrong. I really enjoyed the plot. It's one of those good, family friendly kind of plots where it's easy to enjoy in the moment for those less developed (immature kids and grown ups) and still bringing up discussion and questions for those more progressed (mature kids and grown ups).

Overall it's just a really pleasing movie for everyone; the art freak, the film nerd and the annoying nephew.

Okay, so I decided on watching this film mostly to kill some time. Like, we all need some high budget, highly stereotypical romantic movie with foreseeable plot sometimes, don't we? Well, I got more than that, yet a lot less too... My biggest problem with this movie is that it's trying to be so many things at the same time, and I don't see it working out. In some scenes it's this really beautiful, well acted, highly emotional type of movie where I can really connect to the characters and understand their struggles. But then in the next scene it's trying to be some sort of stupid comedy with shallow 'jokes' about penises. I'm not saying that all movies based on this kind of comedy are dumb or bad, I'm just saying that in this particular movie, it's most certainly not working out. The acting is good, the scenery looks good, it's just confused. If they could have just tried to straight up the style of the movie, either way really, it could've been so much more than what it turned out to be.

I've seen the thumbnail for this series for quite some time around IMDb but never really read anything about it. By the look of it I just thought it looked like some cheap series with a dumb name, which is partly true, before you watch it. I didn't really mean to see it, mom was watching something and I just sat down and joined her; Best. Decision. Ever. From the first minute it all just spoke to me and had me hooked up until the very last moment. This episode has a very genuine and reality based feel to it, a feel that is very rare these days. It's questioning and rather controversial but in a friendly, mild kind of way. A great first episode and if the rest of the series is in any way like this, it's going to be a hell of a ride! If you have any interest in computers, our modern day society, or conspiracies; Watch Mr. Robot! And if you don't; Watch it anyways.
