Just as i expected..
18 March 2014
The way i see it there's two different sides of this movie. In terms of "video game movie", it's better than most of previous video game movies that has been made. In terms of general movie quality, well... not so good..

In terms of video game adaptation, it deserves appreciation because it tried to stay true to the game, and considering it's just a racing game, it's kinda impressive because the writer can just easily take the title and do a completely different storyline than the game. Instead of giving a huge middle finger to the fans, the writer really tries to please the fans. If you really played the game series, you know what i'm talking about because most of the racing tracks are similar to the ones used in the game. It deserves a bit round of applause for that.

On the other hand, generally, this movie kinda disappoints mainly because of the storyline. The storyline are just too rushed and sloppy. Some might say that the story is very simple and uninteresting but that's not the case since it's majorly based on the Most Wanted version. The point is the storyline just felt out of place and rushed most of the time. And the actors kinda lack chemistry between them, especially the crew, and i don't know why but i just had problem with Aaron Paul's character. To me he tried too hard to look all tough and cool throughout the movie. And sometimes some scene just appear as dumb to me.

And i do think that most car lovers will love this movie since no CGI is used during races and chases, and i think the race scenes is not that bad.

So, overall Need For Speed is just what i expected it to be. You can say that the movie tried to be good, but not good enough to fully grab attention. 4/10

Disappointment...

Warning: Spoilers
Let it be known that because of this movie, i don't want Kick-Ass 3 to be made ever. The action was OK, but the storyline was just a mess..

You're probably looking forward to see Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Captain Stars and Stripes team up through out the movie to defeat evil in the city, right? well, if that's the case, you're gonna be disappointed. Instead they show Kick-Ass joining some sort of Justice League for losers, while Hit Girl learning how to be popular in high school!!!And one of the things that bothers me the most is that how the relationship between Dave and Katie works out in the movie.Oh, did i mention that the villain is annoying as hell..and most of the jokes falls flat.. It is enjoyable at times, the action was fine as well, but..*sigh*

The first Kick-Ass movie was a masterpiece, but this sequel was just a disappointment..

"Awesome" would be an understatement..

Well, I didn't had any high expectations when i watched this movie, but damn...This is one hell of a movie..This movie is very well safe in my top 5 favorite movie of all time. As far as i remember, this is the only movie that i didn't want it to end, even when the duration is almost 3 hours.

This movie maybe didn't have much action, or explosion, but the dialogues are enough to keep you glued. Seriously, i think that is what Hollywood movies are lacking nowadays..such entertaining and wonderful dialogues/conversation. All of the cast did a great job in this movie. And i think the one that really stand out is Sam Jackson. And i think you all know why when you watch it. And i pretty much enjoy the non- linear plot style that is shown in this movie.

I feel pity for anyone who still haven't watch this movie, or anyone who considered this movie as "boring"..I remember when it's about to end, i was like "Nooo, don't end yet.."..Such an addicting movie.A great masterpiece that will live throughout the ages.

Such a Disgrace...

Really...

When i watched this "movie" i was around 17 y/o. I remember when i saw the trailer i was super excited about this movie. I was jumping around my house in excitement. In my head i just thought that it's gonna be great to see my favorite cartoon getting a live action adaptation on the big screen. Then i went and watch the movie in the theater.....with 3D!! And what do i get??

Such a poor, poor adaptation..Horrible plot line, cringe-worthy acting, poor action sequence. One of the main reason why it has become such a poor adaptation was because they tried to cram 20 episodes into a 2-hour movie. It just seemed so rushed. No character development was shown. But hey, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The acting on the other hand was something else. I'm not sure if it's awkward or embarrassing but it was really bad. I just cringed throughout the whole movie.

Oh yeah, when you heard the name Zhao, or Zuko, what kind of people would you think of?? NOT Indian right?? I'm not trying to be racist, but really?? they couldn't find any Chinese or Korean or even Japanese actor to portray the Fire Nation??I understand that they want to keep it diversed, but c'mon!! I remember when i'm about to watch this movie in my head i was just thinking, "please don't be like Dragonball Evolution, please don't be like Dragonball Evolution.." Well, apparently it was on the same level. And don't even bother about the 3D use. If anything it's just making it worse. When i saw it, the only thing that is 3D is the subtitles. Such a waste of money.

Piece of advice, if you love the cartoon series please avoid this so called "movie". As for right now, I hate you M. Night Shyamalan..I really, really do...
