Loved it!

Loved the show. What a fantastic idea. Inner city kids will love it, and learn clean eating. It's such a cute show too.

This film is not a 6.9, rather a 9 or 10!!!
19 August 2017
This is a sweet romantic love story. The acting is superb! Beau Bridges is awesome in this movie, and so funny - I cracked up! Sidney Portier, Abbey Lincoln, Carrol O'Conner and the rest are all really good in this film. Sidney is so handsome in this movie, and Abbey so beautiful. It's one of my favorite love stories along with the original About Last Night (with Demi Moore), Pride & Prejudice (with Kiera Knightly), Guess Who's coming to Dinner, and Until September. I will always own these 5 movies because all of them are such sweet romantic love stories, and the acting is great in all of these movies.

Boring
29 May 2017
I gave it a 7 because the scenery, clothes, casting, and acting were excellent, but what were the Writers thinking? This T.V. Series is so boring. The Monarchy already has a reputation for being boring, but I thought this would be different because it's about a young Prince and Queen. Didn't they ever have any excitement in their lives? I'm stuck on Season 1, Episode 2 and I don't know how much more I can take. If anybody is looking for some good Series, try Poldark (Amazon), Grand Hotel (Hulu) or Velvet (Netflix). So far this is way too boring.

I've been looking for this movie for years
17 May 2017
Loved it! I thought it was a comedy, romance, sad and happy. Haven't we all been there? I presume it was low budget, but it certainly got the point across. As one reviewer on this site put it "it sticks in your head". So true to life for the 1970s. I loved this movie. I could relate to how Sheila felt. I really enjoyed the plot. The mother was wonderfully casted. I gave it 10 stars. It's certainly worth watching for those romantics at heart like me.

Nothing but blood and killing
14 May 2017
Well I have to admit I'm biased, I don't like blood & gore stories, but because this series had a high rating I thought I'd give it a try. I expected some blood & gore, but the entire first series appears to be that. I enjoyed the history, but I had to give it up because of too much blood and gore.

Beautiful scenery, but lacks excitement
13 May 2017
The cinematography is wonderful. The clothes are beautiful. The set where it all takes place is breathtaking. The major casts are all good looking. There's a lot of hype about this movie, but it all stops there. What were the writers thinking? Where's the excitement in this movie? How dare the critics compare this to Poldark, which is filled with excitement. It was hard to keep my eyes open it was so boring.

Where can I find this movie?
8 May 2017
I watched this movie decades ago in the USA and now it's no where to be found. This is a really good movie, and Lee Remick is excellent in it. I remember when the book came out I think it was in the 1970s and I was in high school and everybody had that book. It had to be a best seller. The movie is so true to life. I wonder now why this movie appears to have been taken off the market? It is no where to be found, and I've been searching for this movie for years.

Excruciating getting through first 2 episodes
15 April 2017
In a few words, after watching the first 2 episodes I was board to tears. I should have quit after the 1st episode. Other than reading about it, I wouldn't have a clue what this movie is about because the story takes so long to get to the point. I can't bare to watch another episode. I complete waste of time.

Poldark (2015–2019)

Exciting and Excellent
11 April 2017
I loved these Series 1 & 2 so much that I'm embarrassed to tell anyone how many times I've watched them, over and over again, and am on pins and needles waiting for season 3, and glad to hear there's going to be a season 4. This is a beautiful history and love story. The story, scenery and acting is so great. Aidan Turner is too hot for words. I can say that and I'm 59 years old...imagine what the young girls think. He seems so happy in his interviews. All the cast gives wonderful interviews on You Tube. Eleanor Tomlinson is beautiful and a great actress. She's very believable and I love her character. Both Series are simply the best. I highly recommend it and give it 10 stars.

By the way, after reading some of the reviews on this site, I finally got around to watching the first Poldark series of the 1970s and in my opinion other than the similar story line, the acting doesn't compare. Especially, Demelza of 1970s doesn't compare to the beauty, fierce and strong one of today. The Judd Painter character of the 1970s is so dirty (not clean) and drunk that it's unbelievable. Both Ross characters are handsome and appropriate for the story, but Aidan Turner exceeds expectations with that wild hair (I love it), dark skin, and more reckless personality than the first one. I loved the character Dwight (Luke Norris), better in the newer version of Poldark, and the characters Caroline and Prudie are played much better in this newer version. The former Elizabeth was a very appropriate actor for that part, but I prefer the one today (Heida Reed). Overall, the writing, scenery, and especially quality of acting is much improved over the original series of 1970s.

By the way, I'd like to give a shout out to whomever posted Poldark 3 on You Tube. I was having a panic attack knowing season 3 started and I had no way to watch it here in the USA until October 2017 when it's scheduled to air here. I am totally hooked on this show in the worst way like I've never been with any other show, not even with Velvet and Grand Hotel. I am totally reliant on fans to put it on You Tube every week, and I watch each episode religiously. I also love the Poldark Dish series, which are so funny and have me cracking up each week. I can't wait to see series 3.3 next week. So thank you.

I have been forgetting to acknowledge Jack Farthing (George Warleggan) because of his ruthless character, but oh what a great actor he is too. He keeps this TV show exciting and interesting.

If anyone not in the UK wants to watch Season 3 live on your computer, or download it. Get VPN service for $60-80 per year or semi-annually. I use NordVPN, which is highly rated. Then I switch my IP address to the UK and go to BBC One and download their free BBC Player (only the first time). Then you can watch Series 3 live. I watch every Sunday at 4PM USA, which is 9PM UK time. Then download the movie to the BBC Player on my desktop to re-watch at no additional cost for 30 days. You can also stream, but you'll have to ask your VPN service how to do that.
