I went into the movie expecting some car-racing action movie with Gosling playing the role of this cool driver/ lady-man. I was completely blown away by Drive. The opening scene is not the usual adrenaline packed action with explosions all over the screen, but a tense, very quiet getaway shot entirely from the inside of the car. The soundtrack of the movie is even more unique and special all through out the whole film. Ryan's character is this composed guy who keeps to himself and when he's not escaping away with robbers, he works at a mechanic workshop.

I feel like the word "masterpiece" gets thrown out too often. See, a masterpiece resembles nothing else, but perfection. Fight Club, in my opinion, is that perfection. The movie attracts you, upon my first viewing I simply wanted to go immediately and watch it again. All the characters are flashed out and I absolutely love all of them. It's presenting is painted realistically and it's not scared to pull any punches as it does many times.
