Bandish Bandits (2020)
Bollywood type version of "Katyar Kaljat Ghusli"
This was bollywood type version of Marathi film "Katyar Kaljat Ghusli" but definately worse than that. Katyar Kaljat Ghusli is much more awesome and beautiful than these.
The Man from Earth (2007)
Masterpiece of Science Fiction.....
Sometimes in life we come across something that changes everything in front of us. It can be a person, a book, an experience or a movie. This movie is one of that kind. The movie is beautifully scripted with dilogues hitting hard on the basics of humanity and civilisation. It takes you to new journey of imagination without boundaries. Einstein used to say, "Imagination is the most powerful thing in the world. Director deployed the same imagination in audience with such an amazing script. This movie is an eye opener to the new perspective for the world around us.
Fight Club (1999)
An excellent masterpiece........
Review:
Fight Club (1999):
The greatest psychological thriller I have seen. Recommended to me by my cousin, the movie talks about philosophy of pain and change. It will shatter your beliefs about life and death. It will take you to the journey to explore how powerful human mind can be. The stoicism is the main philosophy highlighted in the movie. You will feel numb after finishing the movie. I recommend you this video to understand the deep philosophy and psychology as shown in the movie. It is inevitable that after finishing the movie and video, you will take a moment to reflect and introspect your own life.
Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
Courageous.....
Review:
Hacksaw Ridge (2016):
Do you know about Desmond Doss? He is the man who got US Army field medal of honour without firing a bullet in Second World War (WW2). He saved 76 lives in the field of war. The movie is about saving a life. More importantly, it is about values and morals which should not left even if death horrors us. The brutality of WW2 as shown in the movie is heartbreaking. Showing a humanity where everyone is killing each other is indeed an act of honour. It takes courage to serve, not everyone has it.
(500) Days of Summer (2009)
The reality......
Review:
500 days of summer (2009):
The movie is a reflection of modern love stories. It's completely opposite of so called reel love stories which are highlighted in books and cinemas but it is so real. Everybody having a love life and break up can completely relate to it. It tells us that, "People grow in life and sometimes they grow apart. It doesn't mean the love which was shared wasn't true. It's just a one part and fate of life but it's NOT THE END.
Good Will Hunting (1997)
A Reflection of Inner Self....
The movie felt like a story about myself, And I can say that, many people will feel it as their own story. The bad experiences of past holds us to be free. The regreats makes the life worse. The movie is about living free, living life without regreats. It will surely compell you to ask questions about "The Why" behind your present.
Here are some best dialogues from movie which I loved:
1. "You'll Have Bad Times, But It'll Always Wake You Up To The Good Stuff You Weren't Paying Attention To."
2. "You're Not Perfect, And Let Me Save You The Suspense: This Girl You've Met, She's Not Perfect Either. But The Question Is Whether Or Not You're Perfect For Each Other."
12 Angry Men (1957)
Masterpiece of Old times....
The quote from Theodore Roosevelt- "Justice consist not in being nuetral between right and wrong, but in finding out the right and upholding it, wherever found, against the wrong" is perhaps the best as a summary of this movie. I wonder the movie was released in 1957 but still seems fresh. The matters and questions raised ask for answers in present world also. Everyone acts fabulously. 90% of the movie is shot in single rooom and still holds us beautifully till the end. A great gem in movies. Strongly Recommended.
