How I Met Your Father (2022)
Kim Cattrall is a miscast
I just started the show and was immediately annoyed by Kim Cattrall. She plays it like Samantha from SATC incl. The drinking habits. And as the show plays in NYC it's really hard for the audience not to see Samantha in her. But that just doesn't work in this show which supposed to be a love story. (Samantha from SatC was good for funny sex stories but not for romantic love stories.)
Hilary Duff's Sophie is a total different person and it's not believable that she will turn into Kim Cattrall. With that premise from the first minute I couldn't really like it.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part II (2022)
Annoying smart ass kids...
The show is quite okay in many ways. Well..., the Grand Inquisitor is too powerful with the force which seems to be a little too much. And Obi-Wan should be able to easily beat up 3 normal guys (even without magic red dust or whatever...).
Anyway, all of that is okay.
But what I find really annoying is this smart ass kid version of Leia. Haven't they learned anything from Episode 1? People hated young Anakin and people will hate young Leia!
WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)
Slavery?! Okay if you are a super hero!
Did I get this right? Wanda held hundreds of people hostage (she basically enslaved them) and did psychological abuse that they will suffer from for the rest of their lives. Without a doubt a terrible crime!
But Monica says: "If I had your powers I would have done the same!"
Really? That's the statement your "good" characters give, Marvel?!? Slavery is okay if you lost a loved one?!
The show (and this episode) was entertaining at times, but this message is... well... disgusting!!!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
This episode makes me angry...
... because it shows how good Star Wars and the development of it's main character could have been.
I want to go back in time and ask Jon Favreau to make episode 7-9! And not this JJ Abrams BS. ("Let's make everything bigger and put 100000 Star Destroyers in one scene. Awesome!!!")
Thanks Jon Favreau for this great episode. (I felt like a kid again: "This has to be Luke!!! I think it's Luke!! Green Lightsaber! It has to be him!!!")
This Is Us: Forty: Part Two (2020)
Don't create unnecessary twists!
As German viewer I don't understand why this episode is criticized as political. It's the current reality in the US and I think it's great that the show picks up latest events and is set in the real world! (By the way: all of Rendall's actions and decisions also make perfect sense to me!)
However, the twist at the end feels absolutely unnecessary. Why are they doing that? This (might) just create tons of logical mistakes...
Anyway: Sterling K. Brown's performance is awesome! (But that's nothing new, is it?)
The Boys: The Bloody Doors Off (2020)
Casting Shawn Ashmore...
... for that role is really hilarious! :-)
However, the season is (so far) not as good as the first one, but still good entertainment.
Hamilton (2020)
I don't like musicals...
... and I'm not a big hip hop fan. But I really like this and I can't get the songs out off my head. (Nothing more to add to this review.) ;-)
