Tommy Lee Jones: A more rugged kind of leading man/character actor.
by alexanderdavies-99382 | created - 27 Jun 2019 | updated - 13 Mar 2020 | PublicTommy Lee Jones isn't an actor you can forget. Most of the time, Jones has acted with an intensity that has remained memorable for many years. He has made his name both as a star of leading roles, plus as a character actor of more unconventional films within the last several years. He has always been capable of stealing the show from those who are billed as the lead. He had some success in the theatre, despite never having any formal acting lessons. Jones wasn't a prolific film actor until the beginning of the 1990s, having spent his career appearing in more obscure movies as well as on TV. Tommy Lee Jones has also remained one of the more enigmatic actors of his time. It is rare for him to sign autographs or to make public appearances, plus he doesn't like speaking to journalists or promoting any of his films. Amongst his best work are the following: "The Fugitive," "Cobb," "Blue Sky," "Heaven and Earth" and "The Client."
