Personal Favourite Films with LGBTQ themes
by jpwpatrick | created - 05 Dec 2014 | updated - 04 Apr 2020 | PublicIve seen a whole lot of gay themed films over the last 3/4 years. Of the ones that I've seen, these are the ones that have resonated with me in some way with my own journey ( mainly with gay male themes as im a gay male) also some films that have given me a great insight into other LGBTQ experiences/stories, opened my eyes if you like. Its great to see queer cinema progressing, better acting, unique and increasingly creative direction and high quality cinematography, a lot of thes ones on my list are brilliantly acted and shot so stand out for me beyond the boundaries of low budgets and age old traits of clichéd characters, stereotypes and stories. Thats what grabs my attention.
