The brilliant directors Sergey Parajanov, Mikhail Kozakov, Kira Muratova, Aleksey German, Mikhail Ptashuk and Aleksey Balabanov have already left us forever. The best creative successes of such remarkable directors as Sergey Solovyov, Vitalii Kanevsky, Yuriy Mamin, Nikita Mikhalkov, Vadim Abdrashitov and Lidiya Bobrova remained in the last century. We still hope to see a good movie from geniuses such as Aleksandr Rogozhkin, Otar Ioseliani, Konstantin Lopushanskiy, Aleksandr Sokurov and Nikolay Dostal. At the peak of their creative powers, there are such masters as Sharunas Bartas, Aleksey Uchitel, Pavel Lungin, Sergey Loznitsa, Andrey Zvyagintsev, Aleksey Fedorchenko, Vyacheslav Ross and Kirill Serebrennikov. In the coming years, we are waiting for new masterpieces from still young, but already experienced talents like Vasiliy Sigarev, Aleksey Mizgirev, Aleksey German Jr., Aleksey Popogrebskiy, Sergey Loban, Mikhail Segal, Yuriy Bykov and Kantemir Balagov!
