Los Angeles, Feb 19 (Ians) The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker Peter Andre is turning 50 on February 27, and he’s admitted having the thought of entering the next decade cutting back on work and spending more time with his family. But when the world was locked down, he became “hungry for work”.
Speaking to Woman magazine, he said: “I was properly stressing when it was looming, and now I think, no, let’s go; I feel so young. I thought by the time I turned 50 I was going to semi-retire, and then Covid-19 came along and I was like, ‘Er, no, I don’t think that’s going to happen. Now, I’m really hungry to work.”
The father of four, who has Amelia, nine, and Theo, six, with his wife Emily, as well as Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with ex-wife Katie Price – is set to celebrate his 50th birthday in Dubai.

It’s………. Rebekah Vardy’s account.” Three years later, this remains the celebrity tweet sign-off that keeps on giving. Coleen Rooney probably didn’t anticipate that hitting send on her message back in October 2019 would ignite a petrol bomb of a scandal. Nor one that involved allegations of secret Wag wars, a phone being tossed into the ocean, and Peter Andre’s privates just not being up to scratch. It’s the tweet itself, though, that’s had the most substantial legacy. That delightfully creative use of ellipsis. The wealth of memes it inspired. Then, last summer, the dramatic court case it led to.
Vardy, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie, sued Rooney, the wife of former England captain Wayne, for libel in 2020. Rooney alleged that her personal stories had been leaked to the media via Vardy’s Instagram account, after months of personal investigation. Vardy insisted that she was innocent,...

Picture the scene. It’s the end of November. Matt Hancock has been named king of the jungle. After a month of tears, torture and tepid banter, he has obliterated all competition. Boy George has made zero impact. Mike Tindall is in the dust. Jill Scott is no one. The public have voted to humiliate the former health secretary, and he has eaten it up. Literally: he has eaten every species of testicle. But at some point during this process there came a moment when the tide started to turn. When, exactly, is hard to say: when he taught Chris Moyles how to do parkour? When he played truth or dare round the campfire and admitted he thinks Dominic Cummings is a “gimp”? Or when, on his ninth bushtucker trial, he was finally broken, weeping into a bath of eels? No one knows. But this much is true: he may have lost the Tory whip,...

Soccer Aid for Unicef 2022, broadcast live and exclusively on ITV and Stv last week from the London Stadium, has raised a record-breaking £15,673,728 so far for Unicef’s vital work giving children around the world the care-free, play filled childhoods they are entitled to.
This record-breaking amount was raised thanks to the generous support of the UK public, ITV and Stv viewers, and The Power of Nutrition who have matched donations up to £4 million, meaning double the difference for children. This figure has smashed last year’s record total for money raised on the night.
The hotly anticipated match took place at the sold-out London Stadium with 54,410 fans in attendance, 10 years on from the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The match ended 4-1 on penalties to Soccer Aid World XI, taking them into the overall lead with 6-5 wins since the inaugural 2006 match. Warning: contains spoilers for Inside No. 9 episode ‘Kid/Nap’
The internet can’t decide if it was Pablo Picasso or the Dalai Lama who said “learn the rules like a pro so you can break them as an artist”, so let’s split the difference and say it was Peter Andre. What Andre’s getting at is that rules will only take an artist so far (to ‘Mysterious Girl’) but transgression of said rules is necessary for an act of true creation (‘Insania’).
In ‘Kid/Nap’, Inside No. 9 transgresses its own golden rule. Not the one about never hiring actors Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have worked with before – that went out with Jason Watkins in series three’s ‘The Bill’ and has been snubbed several times since. Lara in this episode being played by Daisy Haggard, aka Psychoville’s Debbie, is no foul.
Instead, it’s the rule about every Inside No.

Singer Peter Andre still can't believe the "longevity" of his career, as he says he sometimes has to pinch himself to make sure he's not dreaming.
The 45-year-old singer said he still struggles to get to grips with having a career that spans 25 years, as although not everything he does "works", the things that do are always "bigger" than he imagines, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Asked if he ever has "pinch me" moments, Andre said: "Oh yeah. Not everything I do works - somethings won't be successful, but the others are 10 times bigger than I could have imagined. I think that's the thing - riding that wave. That's longevity."
The "Mysterious girl" hitmaker's biggest career shocks include bagging a World Music award and selling out London's O2 Arena.
"There are so many. I just got sent a video of when I received my World Music award in Monaco - that's like a Grammy to me.

There’s new rolling stock on the tracks as Thomas the Tank Engine learns more life lessons, but gender stereotypes remain
For years it was the kids’ programme liberal parents loved to hate – all those male trains burning fossil fuel in that little corner of Ukip paradise, the Isle of Sodor. But the rehabilitation of Thomas the Tank Engine steams ahead with this earnest film featuring lady engines and international friends from the franchise’s new rolling stock. The whole thing has a straight-to-dvd quality, or perhaps a TV episode padded out with a few limp songs.
Once again that noted shirker Thomas is learning life lessons about friendship and keeping your promises, this time getting his wheels burned by a toxic friendship with a devil-may-care Australian racing car, Ace (voiced by Peter Andre). Suffering a serious case of engine envy, Thomas abandons his responsibilities at the station to tag...

Den Of Geek raises a glass to some lesser-known soap star pop singles, from Coronation Street to Neighbours and more...
“Do you remember the guy who played that guy in that thing? His song was good wasn't it?”
The above is an example of a conversation regularly heard in our house. The only variants are that sometimes it was 'that girl from that thing', and a lot of the time the song was far from good.
Well sod it – I think we as a nation need to have more discussions about Craig McLachlan and Stefan Dennis. It's the only way our society will grow. So here are 12 songs from Soapland that weren't done by Kylie, Jason, or Kylie and Jason.

She said: ''I think it would be quite funny if we did that. Imagine the banter. I'd be ribbing him and he'd be ribbing me. ''[Would it be awkward?] No I think it would be Ok.'' Katie admits her acrimonious split from Peter saw her image...
