The Gentlemen is the latest entry into Guy Ritchie‘s chaotic and hilarious world of crime. The Netflix series is created by Ritchie himself and it is set in the world of Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name. It follows the story of Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly inherits the title of Duke and his father’s whole estate. Still, he is more surprised as what he doesn’t know is that his father was in cahoots with criminals, who were growing cannabis on their estate. Eddie decides that he wants to rid his family estate of all the weed plants and criminals, but before he can do that he might have to do some criminal things himself first. The Gentlemen stars Theo James in the lead roles with Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Vinnie Jones, Ruby Sear, Joely Richardson, Giancarlo Esposito, Alexis Rodney, and Harry Goodwins starring in supporting roles.

There have been a whole host of movies featuring Frankenstein’s monster. The first appeared in 1910 and the most famous and best is still 1931’s Frankenstein. Its sequel in 1935 – Bride of Frankenstein – is another classic but there’s been probably more misses than hits since then. In 2013 Frankenstein’s Army had some cool ideas but didn’t hit the heights it perhaps should have while the following year’s I, Frankenstein was a fun, if throwaway, action horror. Bernard Rose directed 2015’s Frankenstein and I wish more people would check that out because it’s great. While this year brings Lisa Frankenstein and this, co-writer/director Paul Dudbridge’s Frankenstein’s Legacy.

Millicent’s beloved husband (Philip Martin Brown) is desperately ill with a degenerative disease and she will stop at nothing in her determination to find a cure before it’s too late. Their son William (Matt Barber), a doctor in the local asylum, voices his concerns but she pays no heed.

Earlier this year, we heard that Paul Dudbridge had directed a “period action thriller” called Fear the Invisible Man. That movie has since secured distribution, but a release date has not yet been announced. Since making Fear the Invisible Man, Dudbridge has moved on to directing another movie inspired by a classic horror tale. His latest film is called Frankenstein: Legacy, and 101 Films International is presenting it to potential distributors.

Screen Daily reports this morning that UK sales and distribution label 101 Films International has landed worldwide distribution rights for a gothic drama titled Frankenstein Legacy.
Unlike most Frankenstein films, it sounds like this one doesn’t focus on Victor Frankenstein and his Monster at all. Rather, it takes place many, many years After those events.
Directed by Paul Dudbridge (Fear The Invisible Man), the film is “set in an unruly England in 1875, a century after Victor Frankenstein’s failed creature creation. Graves are being torn up, and patients are disappearing from the local asylum. When one woman’s husband dies from suicide, she looks to Frankenstein’s journals for a way to bring him back.”
Juliet Aubrey, Michelle Ryan, Philip Martin Brown and Matt Barber star.

"Did you not think it was dangerous – playing god like that?" Quiver Dist. has released an official trailer for a peculiar, fascinating new sci-fi feature titled Lx 2048, a new film from filmmaker Guy Moshe who hasn't made anything since Bunraku back in 2010 (remember that one?). The concept for this is very, very timely and a clear reference to what's going on these days. In the near future, the sun has become so toxic people can no longer leave their houses in daytime, and normal life is conducted mostly inside the virtual realm. Everyone is so depressed they're prescribed a drug called 001LithiumX (which was the original title of the film). Against this dystopian backdrop, a dying man seeks to ensure the well-being of his family, while coping with what it means to be human in this new reality. Starring James D'Arcy as Adam, along with Gina McKee, Delroy Lindo,...

Snatch Season 2 – HeyUGuys travel to Spain to meet Rupert Grint, Lucien Laviscount & the cast on set
Back in May, HeyUGuys had the privilege of jet-setting over to the hot yet blustery hills of Malaga. The purpose of our journey was to join the returning cast of Snatch on set for the filming of season two of the heist comedy-drama. We had the pleasure of a tour around the set of the Spanish country home of The Hill gang as well as having a chat with the main cast members.
At the end of season one – after the youngest hustlers of the Hill gang were triumphant in making off with a boatload of gold bullion – the whole crew set off into the sunset on a yacht for a much needed holiday. However, there is no rest for the wicked. In season two, the team is on the lam and what begins as a well-deserved vacation quickly becomes a face-off with a local kingpin; another thrill-a-minute fight to save their fortune,...

It’s been 16 years since Guy Ritchie’s London crime story, “Snatch,” first debuted in the U.S., and, while the black comedy pulled in a decent sum, its primary accomplishment was of a cult fandom (and earning Guy Ritchie a shot at the big time). With that in mind, I don’t feel too bad for only remembering a few key moments from a film built on a sharp wit and distinct characters:
Alan Ford’s thick, creepy glasses; Dennis Farina’s crass American foil to all those classy Brits; Jason Statham proving he can do more than just beat the hell out of his co-stars; the tragic fate of Benicio del Toro’s Franky Four Fingers; and, of course, the sole iconic element of Ritchie’s first major studio film (aside from ultra slo-mo fight scenes): Brad Pitt’s gibberish-spouting gypsy boxer with a devastating right hook,...

It’s already great to hear there’s going to be a series on the cult classic Snatch. It’s even better to see the wide array of actors Crackle signed on. But now a teaser trailer was just released… and wow, next week cannot come fast enough.
Crackle is set to release ten one-hour episodes of the new Snatch series next Thursday, March 16. Alex De Rakoff (who has previous experience with Grand Theft Auto) is directing the series – as well as wrote several of the episodes, and stars your childhood actors all grown up.
Completely unrecognizable from his Harry Potter past, Rupert Grint sheds Ron Weasley for Charlie Cavendis– and he looks good. Phoebe Dynevor, of Waterloo Road and Prisoners Wives, plays Lotti Mott, while Scream Queens’ Lucien Laviscount plays Billy Ayers and American Gothic’s Stephanie Leonidas plays Chloe Koen. "What if every step could be your last?" Well Go has debuted a trailer for an indie drama titled Mine, about a Us soldier stranded in the desert after his mission goes awry. I'm surprised we haven't heard about this film before? This is the first I've come across it at all. Armie Hammer stars as Mike, a Us soldier on an assassination mission in the Middle East. He ends up stranded standing on top of a mine in the desert for over two days, struggling to survive amidst the elements. The full cast includes Annabelle Wallis, Tom Cullen, Juliet Aubrey, Geoff Bell and Clint Dyer. This looks surprisingly quite good, not as bland or as cheesy as expected from the description. Hammer is a talented guy, and I'm intrigued to see him in this role. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Fabio Guaglione & Fabio Resinaro's Mine, direct from...

Spare a thought for Armie Hammer. The towering actor is just coming off Ben Wheatley’s star-studded Free Fire, a pulse-pounding action-comedy in which he plays Ord, a shady arms dealer that is thrust into the middle of a full-blown firefight once things go south. But for Hammer, it’s out of the frying pan and into the freezer – or should that be desert? – for Mine, Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro’s wartime thriller that centers on a U.S. soldier left stranded under the scorching desert sun.
Without any sign of rescue for the next 52 hours, up above you’ll see how Mine transforms into a gritty survival movie, as Armie Hammer’s haggard lead struggles to cope in one of the most inhospitable environments on the planet. To make matters worse, enemy forces begin to swarm in on his location, and it doesn’t take long before Hammer...

Armie Hammer has come a long way from playing the Winklevi twins. After that breakthrough role in “The Social Network,” the actor has appeared in everything from “J. Edgar” and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” to “The Birth of a Nation” and this year’s Sundance hit “Call Me by Your Name.” He’ll next be seen in “Mine,” whose first trailer just premiered. Watch it below.

Though it bears no official relation to the Oscar-nominated “Land of Mine,” Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro’s drama likewise concerns land mines. Guy Ritchie’s cult classic film Snatch has been adapted into a new series for Crackle. It obviously doesn’t look as good as the original film, but it could still end up being an entertaining series to watch!
The cult classic film Snatch is now a high-stakes, high-octane Crackle Original Series. Get in on the action, gangster mentality, heists and rapid-fire dialogue that earned the original movie a shite-load of fans. Inspired by a real life heist in London, the Snatch series centers on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.

Though it hasn’t garnered the same traction as, say, 24: Legacy or FX’s acclaimed Fargo, Crackle is in the process of rebooting Snatch, a serialized version of Guy Ritchie’s cult crime caper that’s due to premiere in exactly two months’ time.
Comprised of 10 episodes in total, the Snatch of 2017 is headed up by former Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. He’ll play Charlie Cavendish, a budding hustler who makes a foray into London’s seedy crime scene, only to find himself in deep with the sharks. The high-stakes world of organized crime awaits, though Crackle’s interpretation looks to be a much more refined version of Ritchie’s 2000 original.
That’s a little disappointing, particularly when you consider that the gritty, unforgiving world of Snatch is part and parcel of the film’s charm, but we’re willing to lend Crackle and the creative team the...

Last year it was announced that Rupert Grint was starring and executive producing Crackle’s new series “Snatch.” Now, during the streaming network’s panel at the Television Critics Association, they released the first trailer, which features the actor as the posh con man Charlie Cavendish.
The 10-episode, one-hour series is loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 comedy of the same name, starring Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Inspired by a real-life heist in London, the series centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Shining another seedy torchlight into the American war on drugs, The Infiltrator gleefully bounds over every cocaine speckled cliché in this well-worn sub-genre. Set amongst the 80s backdrop of Nancy Reagan’s 'Just Say No' campaign, which discouraged children from engaging in illegal recreational drug use, the Us government executed a brazenly covert operation in attempt to stop the industrial amounts of Columbian cocaine being illicitly trafficked through southern Florida. Real life Us Customs operative Robert 'Bob' Mazur (Bryan Cranston) is the key kingpin in a tightrope takedown that spans various continents and countries.
In between a smorgasbord of debauched 80s opulence we witness a man pushed to unnerving psychological limits, thanks to Cranston’s trademark craggy performance. Indefinitely spiralling downwards, he submerges into his undercover role as the slick, high-rolling, money-laundering businessman Bob Musella, in the mother of all CIA stings.

One of the great things to come out of Breaking Bad, besides its standing as one of the best shows in TV history, is the emergence of Bryan Cranston as a screen-filling dramatic actor of the first rank. Cranston was hilarious as the hassled dad on Fox's Malcolm in the Middle for six seasons ending in 2006, but when he broke bad the world saw him with new eyes. Three Emmys later, plus an Oscar nomination as Best Actor for Trumbo and a Tony (and maybe another Emmy) for playing Lbj...

Production on true story thriller The Infiltrator kicked off in London this week, and to celebrate the beginning of lensing, Good Films has dropped the first still from the movie. This first image showcases its two leads: Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston, who stars as an undercover agent, and Inglourious Basterds star Diane Kruger. A straightforward snap from the set, it reveals little about the movie, aside from the pair’s boisterous fashion choices.
Based in part on the true story of fearless federal agent Robert Mazur (Cranston), The Infiltrator follows his experiences during the 1980s. In the daytime, Mazur kept up his Customs and Excise job, before switching to his duty as an undercover DEA agent at night. He became a key player in several international drug cartels as his cover remained securely in place for many years, enabling him to bring down infamous kingpin Pablo Escobar.

Syfy presents yet another TV movie disaster flick (does anyone else remember Collision Earth? because I’d nearly forgotten it) from 2011, now available on DVD. In this “epic” adventure, Yellowstone National Park is on the verge of erupting, with the potential to drown all of North America in lava (and supposedly coat the rest of the world in ashes, as one scientist believes could happen). With the surprisingly inadequate help of the Disaster Management Agency, British scientist Kate (Juliet Aubrey) and dedicated park ranger Charlie (Richard Burgi) must stop this Super Eruption.

Max Irons, Rebecca Ferguson, Faye Marsay, Amanda Hale, Aneurin Bernard, David Oakes, Juliet Aubrey, Eleanor Tomlinson, James Frain and Janet McTeer star. Colin Callender will serve as executive producer on the show which is slated to premiere next year.
