I don’t think Spice World: The Movie is as good as Inception.
This winter marks the 20th birthday of a film that many had sneered at before its release, and many continue to sneer at now. Boasting a hard-won 3.4/10 score on IMDb, Spice World: The Movie pops up from time to time in lists slamming films involving pop stars, or, if it’s lucky, it appears on the ‘guilty pleasure’ carousel. For added fun, the late Roger Ebert had it as one of the films that he most hated. Yikes.

Celebrity Big Brother housemates appear visibly shocked as it's announced that Ken Morley has been ejected on tonight's show (January 13).
Celebrity Big Brother's Ken Morley explains actions: "I am not a racist"
The former soap star was removed from the Elstree compound after repeating a racist term following a previous verbal warning.
The celebrity contestants were also informed that because of this, tonight's planned eviction will no longer be taking place.
Model Chloe Goodman, who was up for eviction along with Alexander O'Neal, revealed her relief at no longer facing the public vote by jumping on top of Cami Li to celebrate.
Perez Hilton burst into tears at the news and announced: "I feel like a weight has been lifted off the house, I feel like we're cancer free now."

Ken Morley has defended his remarks on Celebrity Big Brother in his first interview since being ejected from the show.
The former Coronation Street actor was removed from the house after making several offensive racist and sexist remarks during his stay.
Appearing on ITV's Loose Women today (January 13), Morley insisted that his use of the word "n***o" when recalling a story with Frank Bruno was not offensive, as the boxer found it funny at the time.
Explaining the use of the same word during a discussion with Alexander O'Neal, Morley said: "With Alexander, we were discussing terminology in the Americans, and I said Martin Luther King used a word to define what a black man was in America in the '60s. The American army now used that word. It is outdated, granted."
When pushed for an apology from the Loose Women panellists, he said: "Oh yes, of course I'm sorry.

Ken Morley was removed from Celebrity Big Brother last night (January 12) after repeating a racist term during an anecdote about former boxer Frank Bruno.
The former soap star recalled how Bruno used to play his music loudly back in the '90s when they had adjoining dressing rooms.
He told Keith Chegwin that he complained by putting on a posh accent and saying: "Hello, Lord Fauntleroy here - turn down your n***o rhythms."
Morley had already used the word towards Alexander O'Neal, who in turn told the ex-Coronation Street actor never to use that language again, especially in the presence of a black person.
However, he continued to use another racially-insensitive term minutes later, prompting Alexander to warn him again.
At the time, Morley was given a formal warning by Big Brother in the Diary Room, and was also chided for inappropriate comments made about female housemates.

Why do you think you won the jungle crown?
"I don't know! I keeping thinking to myself, 'What have I done to deserve this?' But I guess I've just been me and people like that. It's mad.

We give our verdict in a first-look review of Sylvester Stallone's classic boxing tale adapted for stage
• Forget Rocky: the Sylvester Stallone movies that deserve to be musicals
Boxing is a fine subject for the stage. As Frank Bruno has contended, the sport is "show business with blood". This musical, which began its run in Hamburg under the inexplicably amusing title Rocky das Musical, deviates little from Sylvester Stallone's 1976 film. Rocky Balboa (Andy Karl), a third-rate club fighter, woos a timid pet-shop clerk (Margo Seibert), then steps into the ring against heavyweight champ Apollo Creed (Terence Archie, charisma personified). Rocky loses the fight, but he gets the girl, the cheque and the feeling of self-worth.
Karl proves himself to be the bravest actor on Broadway, absorbing dozens of punches and singing a plaintive solo to a pair of pet turtles. At the top of the second act,...

Frank Bruno has revealed that he was attacked by a man with a knife while in hospital. The boxing champion - who has confirmed being sectioned twice over his ongoing battle with mental health this year - said that he wasn't scared during the ordeal back in April. "I was sitting in the dining area when I saw a guy out the corner of my eye," he told The Mirror. "He'd grabbed a knife out the kitchen and was coming at me when security staff bundled him over. I froze in shock at what was happening. A lot of the people in these hospitals are very sick and need help. "I didn't feel scared. How can you feel frightened of anything when you have been in the ring with Mike Tyson twice? But it did shock me. After it happened, getting out became even more important to me.

Frank Bruno has reportedly been admitted to a health care facility after seeking professional help. The former world heavyweight boxing champion's friends became concerned after he began acting paranoid and "strange", before calling mental health experts. "He was acting really strange," a source told The Sun. "He had become convinced that anyone he talked to was trying to take his money. It's really sad because everyone loves Frank and we are all hoping he gets better soon." The boxer was sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983 in 2003, before later being diagnosed as bipolar. Police and doctors arrived at Bruno's home in Bedfordshire on Wednesday (April 11), but he was not in at the time. However, the following day he willingly admitted himself to a health facility. Boxing icon Frank Bruno has sought professional help after he "started showing" signs his bipolar disorder has returned, according to his agent.
Britain's Sun on Sunday reports the legendary fighter's friends became concerned about his wellbeing and called in mental health experts.
A source told the publication, "He was acting really strange. He had become convinced that anyone he talked to was trying to take his money. It's really sad because everyone loves Frank and we are all hoping he gets better soon."
Police and medics were reportedly called to Bruno's home in Bedfordshire, England on Wednesday but the star was not at the property and the following day, he left willingly and is now receiving care in an undisclosed health unit.
Bruno's agent Dave Davies says, "Frank hasn't been sectioned. He started showing tendencies of bipolar. From what I understand he went of his own accord into a clinic.
"He needs a couple of weeks' good rest. He is absolutely shattered. With his condition, Frank needs to take more care of himself.
"When he comes out of his house every morning he is on show. He doesn't criticise that or moan because it is the public that have put him where he is. But as an outsider watching Frank non-stop I feel he needs a good rest.
"Sometimes we all need a few days off to recharge our batteries. That's what Frank is doing."
In 2003, Bruno was sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983 and underwent psychological and psychiatric tests, and was later diagnosed as bipolar.

British boxer Frank Bruno has sensationally revealed he first tried drugs and alcohol at the age of eight.
The sportsman, who has previously been open about his battle with cocaine after retiring from the ring, admits he was a "problem" child and was given his first taste of illegal substances when he was a young boy.
Bruno, who grew up in London, claims to have gotten drunk and smoked marijuana before he was sent to a special school for troubled children where he learned to box.
He tells Piers Morgan's Life Stories, "I got drunk at eight and I had my first puff of, I think it was Moroccan (marijuana), at aged eight... I was a bit of a bad boy."...

British boxing legend Frank Bruno was blinded in one eye after he was brutally attacked by a stranger.
The former World Champion has revealed he was the victim of a savage assault in 2010 when a man approached him in the street and headbutted him in the face for no reason.
The incident occurred in broad daylight while he was enjoying a day out with his grown-up daughter in Milton Keynes, England.
Bruno was left blind in one eye, but doctors managed to restore his sight after three months of treatment.
During an appearance on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, the veteran sportsman reveals he doesn't feel bitter about the incident, even though the culprit was never brought to justice.
He says, "I try to get on with my life and not bother anyone at all but sometimes people bother me. I'm not looking for sympathy but people take liberties. At the time I had to swallow and let it go.
"I'm sure my computer could find his face and point him out but what am I going to gain out of it? It was only an eye.
"We are living in a world today where things like that happen, you dust yourself down and get on with it. There are some people who are a little bit more cuckoo (crazy) than others."...

The Human Centipede 2 finally gets a UK cinema release this week. So: has it been worth the fuss? Here's Luke's review...
Established horror franchises ‘going meta’ is nothing new.
The ill-fated Blair Witch sequel, Book Of Shadows, tried – and, inarguably, failed – the self-referential tack. Meanwhile Elm Street’s breaking of the fourth wall in New Nightmare fared decidedly better, discovering an almost perfect balance between scares and nod-nod-wink-wink comedic self-awareness.
Tom Six, writer/director of the first Human Centipede: First Sequence, returns with a similarly pitched sequel to 2009’s controversial body shocker - a grim, monochrome love-letter to the lucrative furore the original film created, the ending of which had backed him into something of a narrative corner as far as a sequel was concerned.
Martin (bug-eyed newcomer Lawrence R Harvey), a squat and clammy night-shift car park attendant, is hopelessly enveloped within the mythos of the film The Human Centipede.

Mental health charities say disclosure will have huge impact after Catherine Zeta-Jones checks into clinic for five days
No amount of PR spend could have brought Catherine Zeta-Jones the fund of sympathy and goodwill she has received after announcing she was being treated for bipolar disorder. Mental health charities congratulated her on her courage in speaking up, and even the red-top tabloids treated her with dignity.
It's only eight years since the Sun's front page screamed, "Bonkers Bruno locked up", after the former boxer Frank Bruno suffered a breakdown and was sectioned under the Mental Health Act. On Thursday the tone reserved for reporting Zeta-Jones's illness was very different: "Bipolar Zeta in clinic five days – star's depression after Michael's cancer fight," said a much more muted Sun.

She was the world's most famous female boxer. He was her trainer and loving husband. But when she tried to leave him for a woman, he hatched a plot to K.O. her for good.
There is a story Jim Martin liked to tell about the first time he met the woman who transformed female boxing, who put the sport on the map, about the first time then-Christy Salters walked into his gym in Bristol, Tennessee, her mother and a Pomeranian in tow.
Related story on The Daily Beast: Manny Pacquiao, Boxing's Biggest Star
Jim took one look at the entourage and figured on the best way he could scare her off: He'd put her in the ring with a male boxer, maybe have the guy crack her ribs, and she'd be out of his hair.
That's not the way the story goes, though-at least not for the next two decades.

Check out this latest Strictly Come Dancing rehearsal video, showing Felicity Kendal and Vincent Simone training for this Saturday’s first live show.
Although former show judge Arlene Phillips has tipped The Good Life star as one to watch this series, her professional partner is slightly concerned that she might not get to grips with the high heeled dancing shoes on time for her performance.
Vincent told the cameras:
“The problem with Felicity is, she’s been training with flat shoes and we all know that to do Latin American dancing, you need Latin American shoes.”
Kendal admitted:
“I’m finding the heels, slightly slow me down. To walk with your legs straight, seems to be a rather odd thing to do but it looks terribly easy when Vincent does it.”
Vincent revealed that he is nervous about Saturday’s debut saying:
“I know she’s going to look magnificent...

Former boxing champion Frank Bruno has escaped a driving ban after he was caught travelling at 105 miles (168 kilometres) per hour.
The British star was heading home from a charity event in June when his car was pulled over by police for breaking the 70 miles (112 kilometres) per hour speed limit.
The former world heavyweight champ faced the possibility of being banned from the roads - but he was instead given six points on his licence at a hearing in Cambridge, England last week (beg09Aug10).
Officials were told a driving ban would prevent Bruno from continuing his charity work for children with special needs.

The Pa reports today that bosses of the hit dance show, Strictly Come Dancing, are keen to sign up Frank Bruno for this year’s series.
If he does compete on the show, he’ll reportedly be up against Ann Widdecombe and Felicity Kendal, and possibly Gavin Henson, though his appearance on the show has yet to be confirmed.
And it seems that the way celebrity contestants are paid for their role on the show is to change from a “fixed” sum to a system whereby competitors are paid based on how long they last in the contest.

While Bradley Cooper was particularly cagey with our questions about The A-Team on the Hangover Red Carpet last year he wasn’t so reticent when responding to the question of the sequel to the hugely successful comedy.
Movieline have the story that Cooper confirmed, when asked about the status of the sequel:
Yeah, we’re gonna do that in the fall. That’ll be a lot of fun.
The sequel was never in doubt, with Variety reporting that Warner Brothers asked director Todd Phillips to write a sequel before the first film hit cinemas, and the team of Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms made an impression on audiences and Warners are clearly betting on the second Hangover building on the success of the first.
An Autumn shoot will line things up nicely for a summer 2011 release, I’m guessing a Frank Bruno cameo this time around.

Frank Bruno was rejected by Strictly Come Dancing producers after they deemed him "not popular enough" for the show, a friend of the retired boxer has claimed. Champneys health resorts owner Stephen Purdew told the Daily Express that Bruno had been keen to appear on this year's series but was snubbed by the programme's bosses. In an interview with the newspaper, Purdew commented: "What on earth possessed them to turn him down? When I saw who they have selected I was even more amazed. "Frank would have been great on the show. He wanted to do it. And now he's disappointed. It's a tragedy. I think he would have transformed the show.
