Netflix has ordered a second season of “The Mole,” its reboot of the ABC reality competition series of the same name.
“The Mole” sees twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end. Among the players is one person who has secretly been designated “the mole” and is tasked with sabotaging the group’s money-making efforts. In the end, one player must outlast their competition and expose the Mole to win the prize pot.
Alex Wagner hosted Season 1 of the reboot; it is unknown whether she will return for Season 2. Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Rikkie Proost, David Tibballs and David Burris serve as executive producers, and Eureka Productions produces. Netflix currently has an open casting call for contestants for the new season.

Netflix is reviving a cult favorite from the early days of the reality TV boom.
The streamer has ordered a new version of The Mole, a competition series in which one player — the “mole” — works to undermine the others. The series, based on a Belgian format, aired for five seasons on ABC, with the last coming in 2008.
Eureka Productions (Holey Moley, Name That Tune) is behind the new version, which is slated to debut on Netflix in the fall. In the show, 12 contestants work together on a series of challenges that, if completed successfully, add money to a prize pot that only one of them will win. The mole, meanwhile, tries to sabotage the other players’ efforts while maintaining their cover as a regular player.
The Netflix show was filmed last year in Australia, per reports at the time from Reality Blurred and Buzzer Blog.

Exclusive: Bravo Media is expanding its originals slate with Spy Games, an espionage-inspired reality competition series from Kinetic Content, a Red Arrow Studios company. The series will air later this year.
Hosted by model and martial artist Mia Kang, Spy Games follows 10 contestants as they battle it out in the ultimate game of espionage for a $100,000 prize.
Inspired by a once secret World War II government program called “Station S,” the show will follow the ten competitors living together on a compound as they are challenged to figure out the secrets their fellow players are keeping. Training and judging them in the art of espionage are “The Assessors” — Douglas Laux, Evy Poumpouras and Erroll Southers – three former intelligence professionals from the CIA, Secret Service and FBI, respectively, who will create missions and tests designed to push contestants to their breaking points as well as determine who stays and who goes home.

Title: The World Made Straight Director: David Burris Starring: Noah Wyle, Jeremy Irvine, Minka Kelly, Haley Joel Osment and Adelaide Clemens The tantalizing and superficial emotional and physical landscapes that are initially introduced in any story makes audiences immediately feel as though they truly know all of the emotions, motivations and ideas of all the characters involved. But ‘The World Made Straight,’ the new drama that marks the feature film directorial debut of ‘Survivor’ producer David Burris, and is adapted from Ron Rash’s 2006 novel of the same name, is the perfect example of how initial appearances aren’t always an adequate representation of how people and situations truly are overall. Civil War on Drugs: Burris Turns Southern Gothic into Southern Comfort
Though its title sounds something you’d expect to grace a Christian propaganda film starring Kirk Cameron, the directorial debut by producer David Burris, The World Made Straight, gets drunk on its own solemn resonance and turns its intriguing elements of tragic fate and warps them into eye crossed foolishness. Painstakingly earnest Jeremy Irvine, struggling still to make good on the boost afforded his visibility after 2011’s War Horse, headlines a curious cast assembled atop an organism featuring a number of exciting elements. But this is rather complicated material and is based on Ron Rash’s 2006 novel. A higher degree of finesse could have teased out the tale’s noir roots, as clearly it’s inspired by any number of Elizabethan or Greek tragedy sources, whereby bloodlines are irrevocably cursed by misdeeds of the forefathers.

Do people in the Himalayas and Andes "live in the passive voice," as those in Appalachia do? That loaded question comes early in The World Made Straight, an adaptation of the Ron Rash novel directed by David Burris. That's an intriguing question about life and fate, albeit one this film — about a chance discovery setting off an old vendetta — doesn't fully see through. Burris envisions the region as one of carefully placed bear traps and Civil War ghosts; suffice to say that the wayward Travis (Jeremy Irvine) doesn't know what he's in for when he goes rifling through his family history. Relics of that conflict are literally embedded in the soil, so common that a cheap metal detector used as collateral in a low-level drug deal can sniff them out. As t...

Millennium Entertainment is continuing to make moves following its deal to become a stand-alone distribution and catalog company. Today CEO Bill Lee unveiled that the soon-to-be-renamed outfit has closed a senior revolving credit facility and term loan facility worth $40 million.
