You don’t hear the phrase “under the blazing Irish sun” very often, but that’s where the 25th annual Galway Film Fleadh is unfolding, in a city where it often rains and currently shines. Actually, it’s hot as hell, but the people and films are cool. Zach Quinto, who arrived yesterday (a little late for the “Star Trek” presentation but in time for an acting masterclass and screening of “Margin Call,” which he helped produce) almost immediately made a stop at a café here where he used to work. A-lister Saoirse Ronan is a native of Ireland, of course, and will be doing an on-stage interview adjacent to a screening of Joe Wright’s lunatic action-thriller “Hanna” (2011). And while the terrific Aiden Gillen was off with the rest of the Irish acting world, conjuring up more “Game of Thrones” episodes, he sent along a bravura performance in Christine Molloy...

Who’S It For? Fans who will turn a blind eye to “story” and just want to see Burton play around with Depp.
Overall
Burton and Depp make a good team in their own genre of “odd, quirky entertainment.” They’ve proved this with past works like Ed Wood and Edward Scissorhands. Lately they’ve managed to focus on the odd, and not the entertainment with Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. So, when it was announced that they were resurrecting the ’70s vampire soap opera “Dark Shadows,” part of me thought that sounded good,...

Plot: Barnabas Collins (Depp) is a vampire set free in the ’70s. Now he tries to return his family to power, while a witch (Green) has other plans.
If you are looking for a place to impress a date, well then Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood, may be the perfect ticket to get you laid. The ambiance inside The London’s premiere restaurant is sophisticated, romantic, and guaranteed to get you in the mood. The interior, designed by David Collins, fuses old Hollywood with modern design. From the sumptuous food, a mix between Western European and Asian influences, to stunning plating and the luscious decor, the whole place is just plain sexy – especially if you get a spacious corner both and have a good looking man by your side (as I did). Let’s be honest, this place is guaranteed to drop some panties* – and judging by some of the older men with young bleach blondes flanking them, I wasn’t the only one who thought so.

As soon as we thought we could predict the outcome of the Oscars, here comes another surprise! This one's brought to you by the Writers Guild of America. Picked for Best Original Screenplay was Christopher Nolan's "Inception." The director, famously dissed for not getting a Best Director Oscar nomination, may just win the Best Original Screenplay come Oscar night. Oscar front-runner, "The King's Speech" was not nominated because it didn't quality under union rules which prompted Nolan to say during his WGA acceptance award that he looked forward to a time when he could accept the award "without qualification."
That could be the beginning of a great script Mr. Nolan, go write it :happy
For adapted screenplay, I'm happy to report that Aaron Sorkin's fantastic script won! Based on "The Accidental Billionaires" by Ben Mezrich, "The Social Network" was the only film last year that I predicted to win this very category.
