Updated with statement from Quiet on Set directors: Marc Summers, former host of Nickelodeon’s Double Dare, is sharing an experience he had during an interview for ID’s Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Children’s TV docuseries. During an interview on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Summers told the hosts he agreed to do an interview about Nickelodeon, but was not told that it involved a docuseries that was set to uncover the toxic culture behind children’s shows at the network in the late 1990s and 2000s.
“They asked me what I thought of Nick, and the first 10 to 12 seconds, from what I understand, in this documentary is me saying all these wonderful things. But they did a bait and switch on me,” Summers said in a preview of the interview, set to air on Friday. “They ambushed me. They never told me what this documentary was really about.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey was put on pause after an especially toxic season – something producers did to The Real Housewives of New York City before completely rebooting the series.
The stalemate between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice poses unique problems for production because if they won’t film together and they want the series to be authentic, where do they go from here?

Could Rhonj return with both Gorga and Giudice? “Sure,” Rhonj executive producer Andy Cohen mused with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I think there’s a world where anything could happen.”
Despite being coy about who could come back, Cohen said Rhonj is not quite ready for a reboot like Rhony. “I don’t think we’re at that place yet,” he said. “I don’t think we need to. I think you could...

Demi Lovato, Brandi Carlile, and H.E.R. paid tribute to Elton John during Thursday night's iHeartRadio Music Awards, and the legendary singer himself imparted a few words of wisdom prior to the performance. "Relax, I'm so glad and appreciative that they're doing it," John said in a pre-show interview with Elvis Duran. After all, they were each handpicked by John for the performance.
H.E.R. kicked things off playing piano and guitar for "Bennie and the Jets," even getting a reaction out of John, who could be seen yelling, "Yes!" Carlile then mellowed things out with fan-favorite "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." Finally, Lovato gave it her all, and got John to join in for "I'm Still Standing."
Coldplay's Chris Martin introduced the medley in a purposefully chaotic speech about John and his well-known songs, namely "Uptown Girl" and "I Just Called to Say I Love You.

There's nothing holding Shawn Mendes back from a brawl with Justin Bieber. Well, except for his inability to actually take down his pal. "I think I'm bigger and I weigh more," the "If I Can't Have You" singer teased this morning on the Elvis Duran Show when asked which pop star would win in a fight. "I think he has another type of level that he can click into that I don't have. I don't possess the switch that he does." In early April, the superstars had jokingly butt heads after Mendes shared The Observer Magazine's new cover hailing him the "Prince of Pop." The news didn't go over so well with Bieber, who had earned...

Digitas, the digital marketing giant that also serves as one of the co-founders of the long-running NewFronts confab, isn’t afraid to address controversial subjects in its annual presentations. One former outing, for instance, dubbed ‘Skip Ads’, encouraged marketers to approach the process from more of a storytelling angle as opposed to more straightforward product-hawking. Last year’s presentation addressed the importance of taking a stand on social issues in an increasingly polarized world. Digitas' past NewFronts have featured guest appearances by radio host Elvis Duran and former Out editor Phillip Picardi.
This year’s theme, says Scott Donaton -- Digitas; global chief content and creative officer -- is ‘Trust’. More specifically, the agency will explore the ways in which people have lost trust in digital media businesses, influencers, and even one another amid a rise of misinformation online.
The presentation is particularly timely as all major social platforms -- including YouTube,...

Dominant just a few years ago, the electronic pop genre known as Edm has faded from the commercial mainstream — just two producers associated with it are in the Top 50 this week. So artists in this space have been forced to come up with creative ways to maintain a presence outside of the festivals and Las Vegas gigs that have long been a mainstay.
Edm producers have primarily settled on three approaches. One is to become a behind-the-scenes figure for pop acts — Skrillex, for example, has contributed to songs by Justin Bieber,...

“12on12,” a new episodic series hosted by nationally syndicated radio personality Elvis Duran, will be on hand for ComplexCon in Long Beach, Calif. this weekend. Among the artists participating in interviews conducted by Duran are Yg, Steve Aoki and Vince Staples, Executive Producer Steven Levine confirms.
The concept of the Cutting Edge Group’s “12on 12” centers around the musical DNA of an act, with Duran exploring the genesis of a musician’s evolution through the examination of twelve songs that mean the most to them. The show will create a musical road map with each song — from the first time an artist heard a song, their first concert, a song that inspired them or something that they sang with their parents — as Duran weaves a tale throughout the interview. Each show will also feature surprise guests, performances and interactions with each act – Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Sam Smith, Logic, Niall Horan...

Named in honor of the late Art Carney, the Carney Awards were launched four years ago by radio personality Elvis Duran to celebrate Hollywood’s leading character actors.

Patton Oswalt will host this year’s festivities, which take place on Oct. 28 at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

Never underestimate the power of fonts. While Elvis Duran was announcing Jimmy Fallon’s special Central Park episode of The Tonight Show, the vet radio host spilled his surprise guest — and the results were hilarious. “We were talking about the Central Park jam and we are excited about that and there is a special guest that is coming on that I can’t even talk about but, I guess...” Jimmy Fallon said while handing a piece of paper to Elvis. “Can we say this?!” Elvis responded in disbelief. “So you are doing the show, it's an evening show. So, when does it play? When does the Central Park show play?” Elvis continued. While giving him the Ok, Jimmy said, “I guess you could just do it. You are Elvis Duran... you could do anything you want anyway.” Once again, Elvis asked, “But when is it on though?” to which Jimmy replied,...

Elvis Duran Group media strategist Steven Levine is making the leap to the West Coast, where he will serve as an executive producer and talent coordinator for the Cutting Edge Group’s new episodic, hour-long TV show format based on the 12on12 music brand. Duran, the syndicated iHeartRadio personality, will host the show. Levine has been working with Duran, who broadcasts out of New York’s Z-100, since 2011.
The concept of 12on12 is an exciting new take on exploring the musical DNA of a celebrity act, with Duran highlighting the genesis of a musician’s evolution through examination of twelve songs that mean the most to them. The show will feature surprise guests, performances and interactions with each act – Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Sam Smith, Logic, Niall Horan and Fall Out Boy are already in the mix — presented along with a vinyl record of “twelve seminal songs” complete with customized artwork.

Katie Holmes brought her 11-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, to Z100's Jingle Ball concert in NYC on Friday night. The mother-daughter duo smiled and held hands as they addressed the crowd on stage with radio personality Elvis Duran, and they posed for a cute photo backstage before checking out performances from Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, and Liam Payne. Katie kept things casual in a sweater and jeans, while Suri looked especially festive in a star-print dress and bright red bow. One celebrity who wasn't in attendance at the show was Katie's boyfriend, Jamie Foxx; the two have been in a low-profile relationship since 2013, and while they have yet to make an official appearance as a couple, they were spotted walking hand in hand on the beach in September. Katie also stepped out to support her man at the opening of his NYC eyewear store just this week.
