Last year we learned Castle Rock Entertainment is returning to Wind River for Wind River: The Next Chapter. Production kicked off in January with Kari Skogland directing from a script written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman. After several notable casting announcements, the anticipated sequel is thrilled to announce a list of exciting actors joining the cast. According to Deadline, Wind River alum Gil Birmingham will reprise his role as Martin, with Alan Ruck, Kali Reis (Catch the Fair One), and Tatanka Means (Killers of the Flower Moon) also joining the cast.

One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time is returning to TV more than four decades later. “Fawlty Towers,” the beloved British sitcom starring John Cleese, is getting a revival, with the “Monty Python” star set to return.
The show is being developed at Castle Rock Entertainment, with Matthew George, Rob Reiner, Michele Reiner, and Derrick Rossi executive producing for the studio. Cleese will write and star in the revival with his daughter, Camilla Cleese.
“What I like about Matt is that, unlike many producers, he really ‘gets’ the creative process,” Cleese said in a statement announcing the project. “When we first met, he offered an excellent first idea, and then Matt, my daughter Camilla, and I had one of the best creative sessions I can remember. By dessert we had an overall concept so good that, a few days later, it won the approval of Rob and Michele Reiner.

Two Arizona studio projects are preparing to break ground next year, now that the state has approved a 125 million incentive for film and TV production.
Acacia Filmed Entertainment unveiled its plans Monday to build 14 soundstages on a 70-acre site in the Scottsdale area. The other project, Desert Studios Complex, is slated to be built in Buckeye, in the Southwest Valley.
Both projects were intimately involved in designing and lobbying for the state’s new tax credit, which is targeted to incentivize construction of new soundstage facilities.
“We basically helped craft this bill so we could help protect the ability to finance the studio,” said Matthew George, president of Acacia Filmed Entertainment. “It’s a little different than other rebates. This is centered around the ability to build those studios.”

Rob Reiner is assembling quite the cast for his upcoming Iraq war film Shock and Awe. Already set to star James Marsden and Woody Harrelson, Deadline is reporting this morning that Tommy Lee Jones, Alec Baldwin and Milla Jovovich are also in talks to board the politically-charged project.

Reiner’s been developing the project for a while now and if all goes according to plan, it will likely head into production by the end of the year, with Matthew George and Michele Reiner joining the director as producers on the film.
