Law & Order’s Season 23 finale on Thursday marked Camryn Manheim’s last episode as Lt. Kate Dixon — who won’t be returning next season — but the hour focused on Tony Goldwyn’s Da Baxter amid another high-profile murder investigation.
A famed sports star was killed, and detectives Shaw and Riley set out to find the culprit. Lt. Dixon oversaw the case on the police side, securing a warrant to arrest their main suspect, a stalker named Kyle Taggert who proved to be a valuable witness. It was his footage from that night which revealed Baxter was the intended target.

Twenty years ago, Troy and its cast made its mark on epic filmmaking. Director Wolfgang Petersen’s take on Homer’s Iliad featured an ensemble cast led by Brad Pitt and created a wildly entertaining, if not entirely accurate, movie.
Working from a script by future Games of Thrones showrunner David Benioff, the Troy cast brought to life legends like Achilles, Helen of Troy, and Hector. Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, and Diane Kruger were among those who joined Pitt in the impressive cast. While many of the actors haven’t made another film on Troy‘s scale, they continue to perform in blockbuster movies 20 years later.

Cash Out opens with Mason Goddard and his crew stealing an outrageously expensive supercar as what he intends to be his last heist. Things don’t go as planned however as one of them, his girlfriend Amelia no less, is an undercover FBI agent. He barely escapes, and since he was already planning to retire, takes it one step further, he fakes his death and drops out of sight.
Three months later, his brother Shawn drops by trying to interest him in coming out of retirement for one more job. That doesn’t work, but when another member of the crew, Link calls he’s packing and on his way to the airport.
The next thing we know, Mason and Shawn are kidnapping a bank manager and the plan is in motion.

The mother of all reunions is not over yet: Chuck Lorre said at Deadline’s Contenders TV on Sunday that Charlie Sheen will return for a cameo (or two?) in season 2 of Max’s Bookie.
The former star of Two and a Half Men showed up in season one as himself in the Sebastian Maniscalco comedy. The reunion almost upstaged the comedy itself, which follows bookie Danny (Maniscalco) as he and his partner, former NFL star Ray (Omar J. Dorsey), romp around Los Angeles trying to keep their illegal sports betting operation in play.
“I’ve always been an admirer of his work. His work is impeccable,” Lorre told the audience. “After all this time, his chops are undiminished. It was an extraordinary experience to put everything behind us and work together again.”

Chile went through political turmoil in the 1970s when Augusto Pinochet became their president. With the Pinochet regime already in power and ending civilian rule in 1984, UFOs were hovering above the sky. One day, radio jockeys Cristina Carvelli, Daniel Morales, Cristina Muñoz, and her spouse Octavio Ortiz receive a message from a sailor named Hector. He informs them from his dispatch at the Mitahues Lighthouse that “a big fireball” has landed at the mysterious, human-inhabited Friendship (an island in Los Chonos Archipelago) and is approaching them.

Activision is getting into trouble as the Call of Duty lawsuit involving two esports professionals, Hector Rodriguez and Seth Abner, could cost them $680 Million in damages. The case alleges the company holds an “unlawful 100 % monopoly” over CoD leagues and tournaments. The “lucrative and once-vibrant market” is now bulwarked by the company, preventing other entities from entering the market.
Hector Rodriguez is the founder of the esports and gaming organization OpTic Gaming. Furthermore, Seth Abner is a former CoD player who played for OpTic Texas, a subsidiary of Hector’s company. Call of Duty League (Cdl), the case’s central focus, is currently owned and operated by Activision.

Bookie is a comedy that starts to grow on you once the choppy and nervous writing becomes more accessible with more and more episodes. One can begin to predict even what the next comic movie is going to be, and that’s a problem, but the show benefits from the charm of the lead characters. They get bent out of shape but have their joyful moments, and in the new episodes, I got a hint of a bit of pathos as well, which was unexpected. In a way, the seventh and eighth episodes represent Danny’s microcosm. In the beginning, he is on top, and by the end of the eighth episode, he finds himself hitting rock bottom, and it’s all done with humor, giving every other character a chance to show their acting chops as well.

Whenever I feel that there isn’t a strange half-hour comedy series streaming somewhere that has both shocking violence and offbeat pop culture commentary, something pops up. I’m lying; it rarely does, as it’s hard to make that kind of show. Bookie, the new series starring Sebastian Maniscalco and Omar Dorsey, seems to be a one-of-a-kind show. Written by Chuck Lorre of Two and a Half Men fame, the show feels like it’s a cross between the movies of Jim Jarmusch and Woody Allen. There is comedy, of course, but there are some disturbing scenes as well, which might not affect you that much as they are immediately undercut by nonchalant sequences, but they have a subtext that is discussed in the witty dialogue. Sebastian and Omar work well together, and with the rest of the cast, the show seems to have an overall comedic integrity that...

It’s quite a reunion in today’s premiere of Chuck Lorre’s new Max comedy series Bookie.
The episode revisits the poker scene in Lorre’s Two and a Half Men pilot, which reunites Lorre’s Two and a Half Men alums Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones.
In the Bookie premiere, Danny, played by Sebastian Maniscalco, heads to Malibu to collect a debt from Sheen, whom he finds at a rehab facility. But Sheen isn’t a patient at the facility; he’s actually hosting a weekly poker game, and one of the players is “Half Man” Angus T. Jones, who played 8-year-old Jake Harper opposite Sheen on Two and a Half Men. The scene also includes the same poker buddies who attended Charlie Harper’s poker game in 2003.
Lorre spoke about the scene in an interview with Extra. “Charlie and I were discussing recreating that poker scene.

Esteemed character actor Mark Margolis passed away this week at the age of 83, leaving behind a long legacy of memorable film and TV characters. Though while you might remember him from "Scarface," "Oz," or "The Wrestler," it's more likely Margolis' face calls to mind one singularly unforgettable role: Hector Salamanca, the ruthless leader of the Salamanca crime family in the "Breaking Bad" universe.
As Hector, Margolis spent most of his time in a wheelchair with an oxygen cannula in his nose, the character communicating only via a small metal bell like the kind you'd find at a hotel front desk. Despite the fact that his performance was largely non-verbal, communicated through flared nostrils and angry, chiming taps, Margolis actually earned an Emmy nod for his turn as the character in 2012. The performer eventually lost the race for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series to "Justified" actor Jeremy Davies, but...

One of cinema's most illustrious character actors has left us. Mark Margolis, best known for his performance as Hector Salamanca in both "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul," sadly passed away in New York City earlier today at the age of 83. According to The Hollywood Reporter, his death came after a "short illness" and was officially announced by the performer's son, Morgan Margolis.
Margolis may be most recognizable to younger audiences for his acclaimed television role as the head of the Salamanca crime family, for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2012, but his tireless work in the industry stretches back to the 1970s. Appearing in films such as 1979's "Going in Style" and Brian De Palma's "Dressed to Kill" in 1980, Margolis would go on to find great success with supporting roles in "Scarface" as bodyguard and hitman Alberto the Shadow, "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" in 1994 alongside Jim Carrey,...

“Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” alum Mark Margolis has died at age 83.

During his time with Omonia, Yuste also played in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League group stages. The 35-year-old central defender, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, brings plenty of playing experience with him.

The first episode of the second season of The Lincoln Lawyer ended with Mickey being hit by a metaphorical bombshell of information, and he won’t be able to do anything to get out of it. Russell Lawson happens to be the killer the LAPD police are on the lookout for, and Mickey is the one who is standing with wrongfully accused Jésus Menendez. It would be interesting to watch and understand how Mickey would be able to do it.
Spoilers Ahead
Mickey’s Tricky Situation
Mickey knows Russell is now his client, which means he can’t’ reveal what he’s done, there would be a lot of trouble he would get into if he directly or indirectly ratted him out to the authorities. He needs a foolproof plan to get out of this without causing any damage to himself or his firm. The only person he thinks could...

Caitriona Balfe in ‘Outlander’ season 7 episode 3 (Photo Credit: Starz)
The opening scene of Starz’s Outlander season seven episode three shows a delivery man dropping off a chest with the name Jeremiah Alexander Ian Fraser MacKenzie emblazoned on the lid. We’re left hanging for just a moment as “The Skye Boat Song” plays, and then it’s revealed that the chest has been kept in a bank vault for 200 years.
It’s presented to Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) who, by the way, look terrific in ‘80s attire and new hairstyles. After revealing that Mandy’s doing great, Fiona Graham Buchan (Iona Claire) – who’s happy to have them back – gives them time alone to open the chest. Inside are a musket ball and scores of letters written to Brianna from Jamie and Claire.
The first letter she opens is dated April 1776, and Jamie assures her they’re alive.

Rodrigo Santoro – Hector in “Westworld,” Xerxes in “300”– leans forward in his chair during a Zoom interview almost touching the screen, such is his excitement. “It’s absolutely extraordinary, the accomplishment. What they did, what this man did. The mission seemed completely impossible.”
Santoro is talking about Ferdinand Magellan, whom he plays in Prime Video’s “Boundless,” directed by Simon West, also starring Alvaro Morte, the Professor in “Money Heist,” and Zdf Studios and Rtve’s banner title at this year’s Mipcom.
West calls the series his “passion project.” For anybody interested in the Age of Discovery, Magellan’s circumnavigation of the world, completed by Basque Juan Sebastián Elcano, is the voyage of voyages, the greatest feat in maritime history, writes historian Laurence Bergreen.
“Boundless” (“Sin limites”) is first and foremost, West insists, entertainment, here epic unflagging, historic adventure for the whole family. Rejected by Portugal’s Manuel 1, Magellan...
