If you’re a writer (or really, work in any profession at all) and find yourself complaining about how hard your life and job are, watch this incredible video and get a dose of perspective. Screenwriter Scott Lew was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease back in 2004 – a horrible affliction that has left the scribe as a mute pentaplegic (which means he can’t move his limbs or neck). While many of us would give up all hope if we found ourselves in that situation, Lew has miraculously kept working – and his newest project, Sexy Evil Genius, is out on DVD and VOD today. Lew’s situation is chronicled in a documentary entitled Jiujitsu-ing Reality, which is included on the disc. /Film got the honor of debuting the inspirational clip, which you can...

Since the close of Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff has been one of the most active of the cult classic’s illustrious alumni. She had a long run on 24, of course, but she’s also had significant multi-episode roles in CSI and Robot Chicken, as well as her central role in the A&E series Longmire. But her latest project is one she feels a different kind of passion for, and not just because she’s a producer. Sexy Evil Genius (out today on DVD, VOD, and digital download) was written by Scott Lew, the development-executive-turned-screenwriter who is waging a brave battle with Als....

Sobini Films sent over this press release for the upcoming dark comedy, Sexy Evil Genius.
The film is a dark comedy about an eclectic group of strangers invited to a downtown Los Angeles bar by a mutual ex-lover, Nikki Franklyn (Sackhoff), a maddeningly sexy, unpredictable and possibly insane young woman who’s recently gotten out of prison for murdering her last ex-boyfriend. The party really gets started when Nikki herself arrives, hauling her latest lover and fiancée, the morally-challenged lawyer who’s been handling her case. She’s mysterious about her intentions and her current and former lovers soon realize they are all caught in one of her brilliant, mischievous mind-games with possible deadly consequences.

Add two more names to the awesome sounding Katee Sackhoff indie drama (though it sounds more like a black comedy to me) “Sexy Evil Genius”. “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” co-stars Seth Green and Michelle Trachtenberg have joined the cast of the Shawn Piller-directed movie, which will star Sackhoff, along with Billy Baldwin and Harold Perrineau Jr. The plot goes thusly: Genius centers on a group of strangers brought together in a downtown Los Angeles bar by their mutual ex-girlfriend (Sackhoff). The woman is mysterious about her intentions, but by the night’s end, according to the movie’s makers, revenge will be had, romance kindled and the wronged woman will have delivered on her reputation as the sexy evil genius at the center of all their lives. See, I have this problem where I came late into the "Battlestar Galactica" phenomenon (two years ago) so I am completely obsessed with Katee Sackhoff's badass portrayal of Starbuck, while most other fans were a bit turned off by the way "24" failed to sufficiently use her talents in the show's final season. That being said, it is to my great pleasure that The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Sackhoff will be starring in the upcoming film "Sexy Evil Genius," created by screenwriter Scott Lew and directed by Shawn Piller. Finally, not a horror flick!
Since her runs on "Battlestar Galactica" and "24," Sackhoff has slowly and steadily started to get film work. This is it Katee, time to make your move. Things since Battlestar Galactica haven't gone so well, you're losing the geeks and no one else has gotten a real chance to see your stuff. Kick it into high gear, baby. The sexy thing will probably work and I know you've got a wry sense of humor hidden under that dress. Hell, whip out the boobs to get 'em paying attention, then knock their socks off with your fast-talking, sneering ways. But speaking woman to girl-crush, you have to kick this thing in the ass, otherwise I'm really worried you're going to end up on Lifetime fighting another has-been over some milquetoast husband who'll probably kill you in the end anyway. And that's no way for Starbuck to go out.

Katee Sackhoff will play the titular “Sexy Evil Genius” in the new film from director Shawn Piller and writer Scott Lew, reports The Hollywood Reporter

Many sci-fi fans have already been privy to the beauty of Katee Sackhoff as Starbuck on SyFy's Battlestar Galactica, but now Heat Vision reports she's going for the gold by becoming a Sexy Evil Genius. The dark comedy will be directed by Shawn Piller (the showrunner on ABC Family's "Greek") working from a script by Scott Lew. The story will follow a group of strangers brought together at a downtown Los Angeles bar by their mutual ex-girlfriend (Sackhoff). The woman is mysterious about her intentions, but by the night's end, revenge will be had, romance made and the wronged woman's deliciously diabolical plan will be complete. Sounds like it has some potential, and with Sackhoff's beauty taking center stage, that's definitely a plus.
