Nathalie Emmanuel is the latest star to join the voice cast of the immersive animated series “Ghosts of Ruin.”
The announcement that the “Game of Thrones” and “Fast and Furious” franchise costar would bring her voice talents to the new series was made during the “Ghosts of Ruin” Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
“Literally, I’m emailing the agents right now in this panel,” executive producer Michael Ramey quipped, underscoring just how “real time” the news had developed.
In May, Variety exclusively revealed that Rosario Dawson and Tony Revolori had joined the cast of the animated series, which follows a group of gamers as they compete in the first-ever neural reality battle royale game, named “Ruin.” However, a malicious virus appears and transforms their utopia into hell.
Emmanuel will voice Dr. Angela Tucci, who Stippec teases is “a very monumental, pivotal character in the run of the show.

British actor Chiké Okonkwo, who can be seen battling pre-historic beasts in NBC’s La Brea, ushered in a new chapter of his career while making history for one of gaming’s most notable franchises.
In the inaugural installment of Deadline’s Character Select, a video series that highlights acting talent in the intersection of games and entertainment, Okonkwo mused about Activision and Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Vanguard, and his work as Arthur Kingsley – the first Black character with a campaign storyline in the first-person shooter’s history. In Call of Duty: Vanguard, which dropped on Nov. 5, Okonkwo’s Kingsley is a British paratrooper who leads a crew of international fighters to help turn the tide of WWII in favor of the Allied powers.

The two clips below from Justice League Dark see Etrigan make short work of the Demon's Three and Batman having a pretty unusual post-workout shave. A different threat takes a different team. When Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League determine that they are ill equipped to deal with a new paranormal threat, Batman declares that John Constantine holds their only chance at achieving victory. Joining them are Zatanna, Etrigan the Demon, Boston Brand and Swamp Thing. That's quite the powerful team assembled, one that might even give the real Justice League a run for their money. Surely they'll be enough to defeat Felix Faust and his dark minions. To check out a previously released clip, Click Here. The latest DC All Access features a new clip from Justice League Dark, out on digital January 24, 2017 and blu-ray/DVD on February 7, 2017. Out of all the DC Comics superheroes (or anti-heroes in this case) John Constantine is probably the last person you want to play poker with, let alone try to cheat. Though we don't see how things turn out, I'm guessing things didn't go well for the demon (and I don't mean Etrigan). Also, as a bonus, the new DC All Access also has an inside look at the final chapter of Telltale's Batman game - The City of Light. This was the best installment of the season yet.
American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 3 was a great, suspenseful hour of the series. It also managed to introduce a delightful new character – betting Cricket will go down in Ahs history as a fan favorite – and clarified a huge amount of backstory regarding the "principal" ghost, the Butcher.
One criticism to address right off the bat: "Chapter 3" was a major info dump. Like, it was so noticeably obvious that a character just went ahead and called it as it was.
The spirits downloaded to me like a paranormal zip drive.

Zip file, indeed.
Cricket was literally traipsing through the woods when the ghosts took it upon themselves to telepathically transpose the 411 about their history, motives, and plans? Uh-huh. Right. Gotcha.
Despite how unimaginatively the exposition was laid out,...

After last night's premiere, American Horror Story's sixth season is already proving to be just as creepy as the last five – and has a theme that's got some scary roots in reality.
This season's subtitle, My Roanoke Nightmare, is connected to the lost colony of Roanoke, a 1500s British settlement whose inhabitants disappeared without explanation. More than 400 years after the fact, there's still no definitive answer as to what happened.
While Roanoke in the Ahs world is still a bit of mystery, we aren't completely in the dark about its apparently real-life inspiration. Here's what we know about America's "lost colony.

Sheridan Smith stars as Cilla Black in the new ITV biopic about the Liverpudlian songbird, and the first pictures of the actress's transformation into the flame-haired singer have been released.
A trailer featuring Smith taking on the role of the pop singer during her rise to fame in 1960s Liverpool has also been released, giving viewers a taste of Jeff Pope's three-part drama.
Aneurin Barnard (The White Queen, Citadel, We'll Take Manhattan) stars as Cilla's husband Bobby, Ed Stoppard (The Politician's Husband, Silent Witness, Branded) plays Brian Epstein, John Henshaw (Downton Abbey, Midsomer Murders, South Riding) is Cilla's father, John White and Melanie Hill (Waterloo Road, Hebburn, Merlin) is Cilla's mother, Priscilla.

While we may have to wait until 2016 to see Batman and Superman face off on the big screen, we luckily don’t have to wait quite as long to see the Caped Crusader in a movie again. In fact, he’ll be making two appearances this year in upcoming direct-to-video animated releases from the awkwardly titled DC Universe Animated Movies line.
The first film, Son of Batman, arrives on May 6th, and the second, Batman: Assault on Arkham, sometime this fall. The latter feature will exist independently from the other Dcau films, instead occupying the same space as the popular and successful Arkham video games. The first trailer for the film was released yesterday, and you can check it out below.
Directed by Jay Oliva (The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League: War), Assault on Arkham pits the Dark Knight against the Joker, who has stolen a dirty bomb and rigged it somewhere in Gotham City.

Beware the Batman is cool, and I mean literally, cool. Quiet and calm and cool and occasionally funny, but never silly, goofy, or cue-the-epic-music heroic. It just goes about its business in clean, stylized animation that suits the tone. It has a very different energy from the other animated superhero series currently on the air.
They’ve added in a very smart, very kickass female character, Tatsu, who is Bruce Wayne’s body guard while Alfred mends from an injury. She doesn’t yet know about the secret identity stuff, but she’s on the trail. All of the principal characters are quiet and reserved – Batman, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Tatsu, Lt. Gordon. It’s all very understated but not too dark for kids. It’s just cool.
Check out this clip from the next episode and you’ll get an idea; even the villain segments are somehow quiet, even when...

Murakami also discusses how the show seeks to keep the new villains from looking like carbon copies of Batman's more traditional rogue's gallery, i.e. keeping Cluemaster from being a poor man's Riddler or Magpie from being a Poison Ivy knockoff. There's a lot more insight from Glen in the video above about some of the behind-the-scenes decision-making on the show. Beware The Batman marks the return of Batman in an animated television series. The series brings the character back to familiar territory in terms of tone that were present in Batman The Animated Series and Batman Beyond. In the first episode of the new series, Hunted, viewers see a young Bruce Wayne and his inexperience is tested. Another feature of how early the series takes place in Bruce Wayne’s life is that Jim Gordon is not the Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department yet. Gordon is the Lieutenant of the police department and has not established the alliance he is known to have with Batman. It will be interesting to watch in future episodes how the partnership between Lieutenant Gordon and Batman will begin to form.
The background of another important person to Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, is different. Alfred is a retired agent...

As Michael is pushed closer and closer to the edge by Burke, I wasn't sure what the breaking point was going to be - but we found that all the rules changed by the end of "Brothers in Arms."
I freely admit that I am/was a card carrying member of the Randall Burke Fan Club. Regardless of his methods, he showed Michael more loyalty in his final moments that the CIA has in the last seven years.

Though he wasn't around long, Burke will be missed. I really liked how he was a "Yin" to Strong’s "Yang." Where Strong is by the book and technically the “good guy,...
