Natasha Bedingfield is opening up about her rise to fame in the early 2000s and the struggles she faced with extra media attention.
The singer, whose hit song “Unwritten,” released in 2004, scored a new jolt in popularity after being featured in the Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell-led rom-com Anyone but You, recently got candid with The Telegraph about the impacts of stardom.
“The paparazzi were always kind to me but they were very mean about my brother, just because they couldn’t have two siblings doing well at the same time,” Bedingfield explained. Her brother Daniel Bedingfield, best known for his song “If You’re Not the One,” also found success with music.
“It’s interesting what that does to a culture because even if they’re not mean to you, there’s a threat that they could be and you end up living in that fear,” she continued.

The four panelists on “The Masked Singer” are squawking aimlessly as they try to figure out the identity of the secret celebrity hiding inside the Macaw costume. The multi-colored parrot performed Tim McGraw‘s “Live Like You Were Dying” during the sixth episode of Season 9 and then returned in the quarter-finals where he belted out “Your Song.” In the semi-finals, he received enough votes to advance to the season finale, which means we’ll all have to wait a bit longer to find out who he really is. Do You have any ideas? Read on for the judges’ “The Masked Singer” Macaw guesses.
“Macaw, it is country night and you took us to your country concert with that performance,” Nicole Scherzinger raved after he belted out “Live Like You Were Dying” on the big stage. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg chimed in that he “might just be the front-runner” for the night,...

Earlier this year, Cub Sport members Tim Nelson and Sam Netterfield — who have been married since 2018 — shared a kiss on the Grammy Awards’ red carpet. They were celebrating Nelson’s nomination as an engineer on electronic artist Baynk’s recent album and didn’t think much of the public display of affection. But later, they were surprised to see tabloids like the Daily Mail describe their smooch as a red carpet “wild moment.”
“Honestly, we do kissing photos everywhere. I did not expect it to be presented as this… Normalize queer kissing!

Jennifer Lawrence apparently had a very visceral response while watching the Broadway play 1984 -- but the show's star, Olivia Wilde, is totally Ok with that.
The play's website warns that the "production contains flashing lights, strobe effects, loud noises, gunshots, smoking, and graphic depictions of violence and torture," which can be too much for some people. The Monday night performance was a little overwhelming for Lawrence, who midway through the show, reportedly "bolted from her seat," and was "very sick," according to a Page Six source. "Several people saw her getting sick in the lobby," the source claimed. "The ushers were very helpful and courteous in helping her out.”

Jauz has seen a truly meteoric career trajectory so far in 2016. The “Feel The Volume” producer kicked off The Friendzy Tour with a mind-boggling back-to-back set that featured more bass music titans than seemed necessary or reasonable, and he’s punctuated several of his stops with debuts of new tracks.
Even a month after the his tour has drawn to a close, though, the bass house pioneer doesn’t appear ready to slow down. In a mix he put together for Australian radio show Triple J, he included more unreleased IDs than the average DJ/producer can boast in their entire discography.
The mix leans considerably more towards the house end of the spectrum than a lot of Jauz’ live performances, and the stylistic range of the IDs reflects that. Also included in the eclectic pool of artists was Destructo, Martin Solveig, Skrillex and even Aretha Franklin.

I’ve been a huge fan of Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of the War of the Worlds ever since one of my junior school teachers decided to play it to us over four lessons way back in 1978, encouraging us to discuss it among the class and to create our own words and pictures as a result. I’d never heard anything quite like it, and frankly, there’s never really been anything quite like it since, in terms of a completely immersive musical experience that was groundbreaking at the time and still sounds as fresh and vital today as it did 38 years ago.
When Wayne finally achieved his dream of bringing his magnum opus to life on the stage in 2006, I was there at the inaugural performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall to witness him conducting a live band and orchestra along with a breathtaking visual show that featured video walls,...

Well, series two of The Big Reunion comes to a close tonight with footage of the big Hammersmith gig, and it's fair to say that we're going to miss it. Where will we turn now for more backstage gossip, tales of woe, and awkward 'I haven't done this in a really long time' dance shuffling? Our only hope is that the show will return for a third series - and until it does, we'll wildly speculate about who could take part. So below, we present Digital Spy's picks for the next Big Reunion - let us know what you think, and tell us who you want to see on the show below!

Shane Filan is shown in tears after hopeful Nicholas McDonald performs at Judges' Houses on The X Factor this weekend.
The 34-year-old former Westlife singer has assisted judge Louis Walsh with his 'Boys' category in the South of France alongside Nicole Appleton and Sinitta.
Scottish singer McDonald performs Daniel Bedingfield's 'If You're Not the One' to try and win a place in the live finals of the ITV talent show.
After his performance, Appleton and Sinitta quiz the 16-year-old on why he deserves to progress in the competition, which makes McDonald cry.
Filan then breaks down in tears and says: "That's so hard to watch. That's so hard to watch. I know exactly how he feels. I can't believe I'm crying."
The live finalists for The X Factor will be revealed this weekend, with the lineup confirmed on Sunday (October 6).

Two Scottish boys prove that you don't need to be authentic music artists to be successful, but it's tricky to live a lie
Documentarist Jeanie Finlay here follows 2011's sweetly inquisitive record-store survey Sound It Out with another tale from the music industry's fringes. In 2004, white rappers Silibil'n'Brains seized the post-Eminem moment to land lucrative Sony contracts. They claimed to be Californian skater boys; in fact, they were Billy Boyd and Gavin Bain, two chancers from Arbroath. Their method rapping was more youthful prank than Imposter-like deception; Finlay benefits from the larky footage her subjects shot to document their upward trajectory, while charting the growing desperation of giddy kids obliged not just to live a lie but to sell it. Darker notes prevail as the gap between image and reality grows too wide for the boys to reconcile, but it's mostly a poppy, funny anecdote, if no advert for the...

Six Albums You Should Be Listening To Right Now: Daniel Bedingfield The dance-pop maven gives us five album recommendations, and one extra for luck. by Daniel Bedingfield 1. The backlash against Village Voice Media's ownership of Backpage.com continues with a group of high-profile musicians speaking out against the controversial website of online classifieds accused of enabling sex-trafficking.
Alicia Keys, members of Pearl Jam and Alabama Shakes, and Talib Kweli are just a few of the musicians rallying for Village Voice to shutdown the classifieds. Rem's bassist Mike Mills said in a statement:
Village Voice Media has a history of being a strong advocate for the arts, reporting extensively on musicians and their work in its 13 weeklies across the country. Some were huge in their day, with hit records, popular movies and roles on top TV shows. But we haven’t seen them much lately — or for years. Here’s what they’ve been up to recently.
Sam Jones
The onetime Playgirl centerfold and star of Flash Gordon (1980) went on to star in 1986’s My Chauffer and the 1987-88 TV series The Highwayman. While starring roles were hard to come by, Jones occasionally appeared in minor TV and movie roles up until 2007. He is reportedly now the CEO of a security company providing protection for high-profile clients all over the world.
Charo
For those too young to know of her, think Shakira’s dance moves and Sofia Vergara’s sexy comic timing — in one person. Known for her trademark “Cuchi-Cuchi” and her frequent Love Boat and Tonight Show appearances in the ’70s and ’80s, Charo, whose full name is Maria...

Pixie Lott's "Can't Make This Over" music video makes its way out for fans' viewing pleasure. Nursing a broken heart, the British singer is visualized walking backward while crooning "It's far beyond a break-up, kiss and make up."
Co-written by Daniel Bedingfield, "Can't Make This Over" is one of the new additional songs which appears in "Turn It Up (Louder)", a re-release of her debut album "Turn It Up". Already been in stores since last month, the repackaged CD contains 10 extra songs, almost double the original one which only has 12 tracks.
One of the new songs is having her making a duet with Jason Derulo. She once said, "We just didn't stop. We just kept working - we finished at 6 A.M. We worked on some duets which were really fun. We're doing some of the same festivals this summer so maybe we could sing them together - that'd be nice.

X Factor creative director Brian Friemdan has admitted that he did meet Katie Waissel before she auditioned for the X Factor, in fact it was him that suggested she try out for ITV show.
The pair first crossed paths in La, when Katie was performing a set with Daniel Beddingfield. Brian told The Sunday Mirror:
“I did meet her before the show, years ago in Los Angeles.
“She was appearing at a club and on stage singing with Daniel Bedingfield and I was totally blown away. She was incredible.
“I went over to say ‘hello’ to her after the set and she said she was a fan of X Factor.
“I suggested she ought to audition for the show. She said she wasn’t sure whether she should but I thought she was great.
“Crazily enough I didn’t even remember her when she pitched up at bootcamp. And I was shocked to see her.

Sharam Tayebi, one half of the veteran progressive house music duo Deep Dish, is revved up. Sitting poolside at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami at the Winter Music Conference, he told us he has an auto-inspired series of releases and upcoming tour approaching.
"I have three EPs coming out in the next four or five months that are going to lead up to new album," he said. "The whole concept is around cars — Le Mans racing and American muscle cars. I have Raul Boesel, who is an ex professional race car driver, and he's a DJ and now a very good friend. So we're taking the idea of cars and racing and putting this into the idea of nightlife."
Hailing from our Washington, D.C., Sharam and his Deep Dish partner Dubfire have been tearing up dance floors and remixing some of music's biggest names for nearly 20 years.

Bedingfield Demands David's Garage Comeback
British pop star Natasha Bedingfield is desperate for R+B singer Craig David to return to his musical roots - because she misses the U.K. garage music scene.
The 27-year-old singing sensation is a huge fan of the Born To Do It star, but wishes he would make music which echoes his British R+B beginnings.
And she wants to rope in her pop star sibling Daniel Bedingfield to work on David's new album - because he had a U.K. smash hit with garage-themed track Gotta Get Thru This in 2001.
She says, "I love Craig, but I really like his music when he was doing the U.K. garage thing back in the day.
"I was feeling sad thinking that the should had gone for good, but I've been hearing it back on the radio with the Bassline scene and I think he should use it again."
She adds, "I'd definitely get Dan on board, he's pretty good at that dance thing."...
