Paul McCartney has been married three times, and John Lennon attended none of his weddings. Lennon died before McCartney’s second two weddings, and The Beatles were at such a low point in their relationships that none had attended McCartney’s first. Still, McCartney took time to bring attention to Lennon during his wedding in 2011. Here’s why McCartney wanted to pay his respects to his late friend.
Paul McCartney honored John Lennon’s birthday at his wedding
In 2011, McCartney married Nancy Shevell, whom he began dating in 2007. This was McCartney’s third marriage; his first wife, Linda McCartney, died in 1998, and he finalized his divorce from his second wife, Heather Mills, in 2008.
The couple wed at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in a small ceremony that included both their families, Ringo Starr and his wife, Barbara Bach, and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia Harrison. After the ceremony, the group...

Paul McCartney became famous for creating hit songs with The Beatles. He said writing songs with John Lennon was so easy that it was almost effortless. The pair inspired each other, but McCartney found other muses in his life. Jane Asher was one. His relationship with his first serious girlfriend didn’t end well, but Paul’s photo exhibit shows he has never forgotten his first love.
Paul McCartney dedicated part of his photo exhibit to his first love, Jane Asher
Asher was a notable child actor before she met Paul in April 1963. That is to say, she was used to notoriety. Still, she stepped into a blazing hot spotlight in her relationship with Paul. At one point, the British paparazzi swarmed the couple at a theater while they watched a show.
The healthy relationship couldn’t survive the strain of two young, famous, working entertainers.

Prince Harry has inflamed his war with Piers Morgan by personally attacking the TalkTV and Fox Nation presenter in explosive court testimony.
The Duke of Sussex was in the witness box today for the phone hacking trial he and other British celebrities are bringing against Mirror Group Newspapers, where Morgan worked as Editor of The Daily Mirror for nearly a decade.
In a written statement to London’s High Court, Prince Harry said the thought of Morgan prying on the private correspondence of his late mother, Princess Diana, made him feel “physically sick.”
He added that Morgan’s repeated attacks on himself and his wife, Meghan Markle, were an effort to bully him out of bringing legal action against Mirror Group Newspapers. Morgan has consistently denied any knowledge of phone hacking at the Mirror, which he edited from 1995 to 2004.

Keith Richards and Paul McCartney got to know each other in the 1960s. They were each key members in two of the biggest bands in the world, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. While rumors swirled of a feud between the two bands, they were mostly friendly with each other. Decades after they first met, McCartney and Richards bonded while both were on vacation. Richards said McCartney seemed like he needed someone to talk to at the time.

Piers Morgan is again facing questions about his involvement in phone hacking as part of a High Court legal war being waged by Prince Harry and other celebrities.
On the first day of a trial against The Daily Mirror, the British tabloid newspaper Morgan edited for nearly a decade, it was alleged that he “must have known” about illegal voicemail interception. Morgan has consistently denied any knowledge of phone hacking at the Mirror, which he edited from 1995 to 2004.
The trial has reignited the phone hacking debate in the UK more than a decade after Rupert Murdoch shut down the News of the World amid revelations about unlawful activity.
The High Court was told that Morgan, a presenter on Murdoch’s TalkTV and Fox News, openly discussed phone hacking in front of colleagues on Mirror Group Newspapers premises, according to The Guardian.

Paul McCartney was just one face of The Beatles — arguably the most popular band to ever exist. And while all four of them rose to fame together, many of the songs that took the world by storm were written by individual band members. Even after the band broke up, solo careers persisted, with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr becoming quite successful in their own right.
In 1983, McCartney released his song “So Bad” — just one of many in his post-Beatles era. It turns out, though, that when performing it for his family, he actually changed the lyrics because he felt “so bad” for his son James.

When the marriage of a heavyweight in the music industry comes to an end, the divorce will be trending news. It’ll also probably be expensive. Here are seven musicians who faced costly divorce settlements.

Lionel Richie reportedly began a relationship with designer Diane Alexander while he was married to his first wife, Brenda Harvey. Richie and Alexander married in 1995, two years after he finalized his divorce from Harvey. The couple shares two children, and they divorced in 2003.

Paul McCartney’s most influential music came with The Beatles, but he never stopped writing songs. His ex-wife Heather Mills foolishly trolled Paul for working with Rihanna and Kanye West and totally missed the mark. His work beyond The Beatles has been nearly as successful. Let’s look at the five most successful Paul solo songs.
Note: We ranked Paul’s solo songs based on weeks atop the Billboard singles chart, not total weeks on the chart. Wings’ songs appear as Macca was the primary songwriter on those hits.

Paul McCartney hit the right musical notes, but his marriage to Heather Mills turned out to be a wonky chord in his personal life. Macca and his first wife, Linda, spent only 10 days apart in nearly 30 years of marriage. Mills and Paul divorced a few years after their wedding. She said she wanted to move on during one interview, but Mills’ actions prove otherwise. Paul’s ex foolishly called out his work with contemporary artists years after they divorced.

Paul McCartney’s prowess as a songwriter is undisputed. He disliked some of his Beatles songs, but his hits overshadow his misfires. One part of Macca’s personal life was a major snafu, though — his marriage to Heather Mills. Their union ended in a bitter divorce. Ringo Starr, usually very pleasant in public, uncharacteristically called out Paul’s wife with three simple and vicious words.

Paul’s wedding to Linda in 1969 showed how far apart The Beatles had grown. Yet they enjoyed a decades-long marriage that saw them work as musical partners in Wings as they raised three children.
Macca moved on with Heather Mills after Linda died. Paul met Mills in 1999, a year after Linda’s death, and they became an official couple just a few months later.

Many artists are happy to sing Paul McCartney’s praises, but he has come across as rude and condescending to a few musicians. Some of McCartney’s comments about other musicians are delivered to them indirectly through his many interviews. On other occasions, he has made comments directly to an artist’s face. Here are three times that McCartney insulted another musician with his words.

Each of The Beatles was married at least twice, and their ex-wives remained a part of their lives over the years. After their divorces, though, each of these women went on to build a life outside of their famous ex-husbands. Though all of The Beatles were married by 1970, their manager, Brian Epstein, didn’t initially want them to have wives. He believed that their fan base would be disappointed or even lose interest in them if they did. Others had different opinions about why marriage would spell doom for the band. A writer posited the misogynistic view that The Beatles would break up because their wives wouldn’t be able to get along.

For four years I followed Larry on the air. He was in L.A. and I was in New York, so we met on television — and we developed a relationship on television. When I was in L.A., or he was in New York, we always got together, and it was actually quite warm. He was an odd character in my life. He was generous, and he was funny, and I liked him a lot.
Our exchanges on air were like walking through an Iraqi village and not knowing where the IEDs were. I was doing a news show, and on any night we could have led with something awful that happened that day — somebody died, a village was blown up. News. Bad stuff. And Larry would just talk. Countdown star Rachel Riley and actor Peter Egan are among well-known faces backing this year’s Summer Vegan Pledge – a month-long pledge organised by animal rights organisation Animal Aid.
Every year, Animal Aid runs a vegan pledge initiative to encourage those who are not vegan to give it a try. The Summer Vegan Pledge is a 30-day vegan pledge that takes place in June.

‘I found out that eggs and dairy were making me ill, and once I gave them up I felt like a new person almost overnight. As a big foodie, to still get my fix of dairy and egg-free puddings I started eating in vegan restaurants and found that the food was delicious and interesting and I didn’t need to eat meat.
‘Then finally, after watching Blue Planet and going to the Galapagos in 2017 I learnt more about dodgy fishing practices and plastic pollution affecting wildlife,...

Paul McCartney and John Lennon's sons gave Beatles fans flashbacks on Monday when the two offspring shared a selfie on Instagram. The picture featured Sean Ono Lennon, and James McCartney—and there certainly was a family resemblance. Sean captioned the photo "Peekaboo…" James is Paul's fourth child. The singer also has four daughters: Heather McCartney, Mary McCartney, Stella McCartney and Beatrice McCartney. Paul shared James and his first three daughters with his first wife, Linda McCartney, who is now deceased. He then welcomed Beatrice during his marriage to his second wife, Heather Mills. Sean is the child of Yoko Ono and John. Sean also has a brother...

You couldn’t script some of the things Wendy Walker experienced as a live news producer at CNN. But now, the new ABC drama “Notorious” aims to do just that.
The series, which launches Thursday night, stars Piper Perabo as a TV news producer who develops a friendship and alliance with a superstar defense attorney (Daniel Sunjata). The show is inspired by Walker’s lengthy CNN career and her pal, real-life defense attorney Mark Geragos.

Walker admits she was taken aback at first of how her “Notorious” character handled things (like, say, having sex in her office right before the live telecast). But she soon adjusted to the world of dramatized television.
The veteran news producer spent 32 years at CNN (including 18 of those as executive producer of “Larry King Live”), focusing on breaking news and other live coverage.

It's finally here, dance fans! It's the big blowout 10th anniversary celebration of "Dancing with the Stars," as they remind us of some of the wild, crazy, awkward, painful, and stellar moments of the past 20 seasons. There's a lot jam packed into this special, as past contestants and winners return to share in the fun.
During resident-opening-number-choreographer Mandy Moore's exciting first group routine, lots of stars return, hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews fly in on a giant "10," and the four judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, and Julianne Hough, make their grand entrance. Lots of cutaways to the audience show many other past stars who have returned but are apparently not dancing tonight, like Sabrina Bryan, who we're reminded of also by last night's shocking elimination. Like Willow last night, Sabrina was a frontrunner in both of her seasons (5 and All-Star season 15), but she was eliminated in week 6 both times.

When producers first approached Noah Galloway about joining season 20 of Dancing with the Stars, they took for granted just how challenging the show would be for the 33-year-old Army veteran.
Galloway lost his left leg above his knee and his left arm above the elbow during his second tour in Iraq. Though he isn't the first amputee to appear on DWTS – Heather Mills and Amy Purdy preceded him – he's the first to do it with only one knee.
"Most people take it for granted," Galloway told People. "Before I was injured, I wouldn't have thought about it either. I don't take offense to that.

She knows he's a former Beatle, right? Heather Mills had no problem taking jab at her rock star ex-husband Paul McCartney in a recent interview on Ireland's The Late Late Show. The former Alpine skier, 47, appeared clearly agitated when asked about McCartney, 72, but the host persisted, noting, "I think people are more interested than you allow for." "No, they're not," Mills replied. "That's the thing. When I go down the street, I get kids coming up to me — half of them don't even know who [...]...

Heather Mills is tired of getting asked about her ex-husband.
Mills, who was married to Paul McCartney for six years, told The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy that she doesn't want to talk about him.
"I don't want this interview to be all about Paul. That umbilical cord was broken," she said."He's married someone else and I agreed to come on the show so it wasn't just all about Paul."
Mills has a lot to talk about as she's a ski-racer with a prosthetic leg, helps animals, owns the biggest vegan company in the world and counsels thousands of people with disabilities.
In spite of the fact that she did not want the interview to be about her ex, she spoke about how she fell out of love with him.

We loved the first series of The Jump last year - but this one has been even better, and we're gutted to be saying goodbye to it tonight. Real competitive spirit, a great cast, new and exciting events (some of them live) - we've never shouted so loudly at our TV.
But before we wave goodbye, there's the all-important Cowbell Trophy to hand out. Will it go to Louise Thompson or Louise Hazel? To sportsmen Mike Tindall or Jon-Allan Butterworth? Or to TV personalities Joey Essex or Chloe Madeley? We're about to find out!
Standing in their way are the dreaded ski cross, the air jump and - of course - the jump itself. So join us from 8pm when the show begins on Channel 4 as we bring you all the action...

The Jump eliminee Jb Gill has revealed that Heather Mills really helped him by giving him extra ski training during the competition.
Speaking to reporters after being eliminated in last night's semi-final, the Jls star explained that Mills had an advantage as a Paralympic skier.
"She was really helpful, especially to me – I don't know about the other contestants," said Gill. "She was really helpful with me learning how to carve, learning how to ski, learning how to race on my edges and learning how to be competitive, really. It was really, really beneficial and I really appreciated her taking the time, really, because she didn't have to do that.
"It is a competition at the end of the day and I'm sure she wanted to do the best that she possibly could - and I'm sure she realised that if she'd given away too many tips they would take...

Lady Victoria Hervey has left The Jump in a nail-biting 'jump-off'.
It took Mike Tindall making the final jump to secure a place in the next episode and knock out the socialite.
Lady Victoria had only made 13.5m during her attempt and was beaten by Tindall's 17m.
Before Tindall's jump, Chloe Madeley scored 14.5m - meaning the jump-off went to the final possible stage.
Lady Victoria is the latest celeb to leave the show, following Louie Spence, Jodie Kidd, Phil Tufnell, Dom Parker, Heather Mills and Ashley Roberts.
She had battled with her fellow contestants, particularly Jodie Kidd who admitted that she was shocked by how "nasty" Lady Victoria was to her.

A new clip from The Jump has been unveiled.
The teaser previews the brutal new event Snow Cross.
The event sees contestants hurtle down a steep snow course complete with jumps, shoulder to shoulder with one another, and all at the speed of a fast-moving car.
Getting down the course unscathed is highly improbable, with the most common injury a broken coccyx. Rather you than us celebs!
The event will take place live on tonight's The Jump on Channel 4 from 8pm.
Speaking to Digital Spy, eliminated contestant Heather Mills has said that she would "definitely" still be competing on The Jump if her prosthetic leg had not broken.
Ashley Roberts was eliminated from The Jump alongside Mills on Monday's show (February 2).

"This leg I just got to practise on in the morning for a couple of jumps."

"So I would have definitely been in. But that's life - that's how it goes.

Heather Mills shattered her prosthetic leg while training for The Jump on Saturday (January 31).
The 47-year-old managed to compete on the reality show using a borrowed prosthetic limb.
Her specially-made ski-jump limb was one of only four made in the world and she shattered it while preparing for the competition.
Luckily, there was a man who lived two hours away from the training site who agreed to let Mills use his.
She became the first ever lower-leg amputee to compete in a ski-jump.
Mills was eliminated from tonight's show along with former Pussycat Doll, Ashley Roberts.
The Jump continues tomorrow at 8pm on Channel 4.

Heather Mills and Ashley Roberts have been eliminated from The Jump.
After yesterday's show, where Phil Tufnell and Dom Parker left the competition, the two women failed to make it through to the next challenge after each competing in a live jump-off.
The show began with the eight female celebrities being split into pairs to compete on the Skeleton track. The person from each pair with the slowest time was then required to take part in a live jump.
The two celebrities who provided the shortest jump then had to leave the competition.
First to face the track was Louise Hazel, who is a gold medal-winning heptathlete at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Her track time of 43.50, beat Heather Mills's 44.81.
Mills was joined on the ledge by Lady Victoria Harvey, who lost out to Jodie Kidd by less than a second.
Lady Victoria Harvey scored a live jump of 12.5m compared to Mills's 12m.

Judy Finnigan has admitted that she is "terrified" for her daughter Chloe Madeley on The Jump.
She told her fellow Loose Women panelists that her daughter is a "total novice" when it comes to winter sports, and has never even "been on a pair of skis before".
She said: "She's had just four weeks to train up. I'm terrified."
Finnigan and her husband Richard Madeley will travel to Innsbruck, Austria over the weekend to support their daughter as the competition begins.
"We're going out to Austria on Sunday just to give her some moral support," she explained. "As long as she gets back in one piece, that's all I want."
When asked who Madeley's biggest competition will be, Finnigan predicted that Heather Mills and Mike Tindall could be the ones to watch.
The Jump returns on Sunday (February 1) at 7pm on Channel 4.
