Updated with more details: New York City Mayor Eric Adams says law enforcement officials have determined no “nexus” between New York City and the incident at the Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge border crossing, and that the city will make “no additional enhancements” to security measures for tomorrow’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade beyond what was already planned.
Adams made the comment during the annual press briefing about security plans for the the parade. He said officials will continue to “monitor all the chatter” that’s taking place in the lead-up to the event, but that no connection has been found between New York City and the fiery vehicle explosion upstate.
New York Police Commission Edward Caban added that increased security measures were already in place for the Thursday event, expected to draw more than 3.5 million onlookers. The city, he said, has “been on heightened alert since October 7.”

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, film commissioner Pat Kaufman, labor leaders and film and TV partners broke ground today on a East End Studios’ new film and TV complex in Sunnyside, Queens that will create nearly 1,000 construction jobs and roughly 750 permanent, full-time jobs.
It’s the second new site rising as the city recently broke ground on Sunset Pier 94 Studios. That 266,000 square-foot project backed by Vornado, Hudson Pacific and Blackstone includes six soundstages. The two projects are kicking off the return of the city’s film and TV production industry after the actors’ and writers’ strikes ended.
“Thanks to SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America securing fair deals for their workers, film and TV production is back in New York City — helping more than 185,000 New Yorkers get back to work,” said Adams. “New York City is back, but our work is not done until every New Yorker has a pathway to success.

Not only has Mayor Eric Adams declared November 9th as Wu-Tang Day, but the Empire State Building will be lit up in the group’s signature black and yellow colors.
Released on November 9th, 1993, 36 Chambers was an instant classic as the group of nine rappers — RZA, Gza, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa — came together to spit hardcore rhymes over kung fu movie samples and hard-hitting snares on songs like “Protect Ya Neck” and “C.R.E.A.M.”
Earlier this year, RZA wrapped up the final season of his Hulu series, Wu-Tang: American Saga, documenting the rise of Wu-Tang Clan, which he discussed in an interview with Consequence. The group’s mastermind is currently celebrating the...
