On April 20, Limp Bizkit was supposed to give a concert at a Sunoco in Dayton, Ohio. At least, according to Facebook. "We come all the way from West Milton to see Limp Bizkit. Live action," said fan Randy Ray, just one of the 8,9000 confirmed attendees (on Facebook) who showed up, ultimately just to be disappointed, according to Wrgt. Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst issued a statement on Twitter declaring the concert a hoax, but it didn't stop fans from showing up - many were simply there for the fun of it, although a few were hoping for a last-minute surprise: "Where you at?...

This article will list, as stated, 10 underrated bands in today’s music industry. Some of the choices might seem like they aren’t underrated but I give my reasons for each. Not every underrated band I could think of made it on here but that was part of the fun compiling the list. Also, not everyone will agree but it is opinion after all and that’s what comment sections are for.
My justification for the underrated tag is lack of airtime, be it TV or radio, and general lack of recognition. For example, Silverstein are an underrated band (though not on this list) but they don’t get half the recognition of a band like You Me at Six. I don’t like to say certain bands are overrated and thus don’t deserve their success because any rock band deserves any success they get.

Canadian rock band Three Days Grace is moving forward after announcing yesterday singer Adam Gontier — who was with the band for two decades — had left the group. The band announced yesterday morning that My Darkest Days singer Matt Walst (and brother of Three Days Grace member Brad Walst) would be joining the band temporarily for their North American tour kicking off on Feb. 1 with Shinedown.
"Former lead singer, Adam Gontier, has left the group effective immediately due to a health issue," the band said in the statement, adding they were "surprised and distressed" by Gontier's "sudden departure." A subsequent post yesterday fleshed out more details, stating the band found out Dec. 21 that "Adam wished to resign from the band" because of a "non life threatening health issue and wanted the band to continue moving forward with him."
The subsequent speculation about Gontier's condition led the former Three Days Grace singer...

Muse's new album "The 2nd Law" had a huge first week, but it wasn't enough to topple Mumford and Sons from the top spot on the Billboard 200. Nor were new sets from Miguel, Three Days Grace, Diana Krall, Cher Lloyd and others. Mumford & Sons' "Babel" is able to stay at No. 1 for a second week, after moving another 169,000 copies. The sales for the album were down 72% from its massive debut week. Meanwhile, Muse's "The 2nd Law" sold 101,000 in its first week, opening (appropriately) in 2nd place. It's the band's highest charting album ever; their "Black Holes and...

The hard-rocking Canucks Three Days Grace from Norwood, Ontario, after what feels like far too long a gap, are back with fresh material in the form of their fourth studio album, Transit of Venus. Sticking to their standard three-year release cycle – Three Days Grace (2003), One-x (2006) and Life Starts Now (2009) – the group, still formidably led by skilled vocalist Adam Gontier, have plucked their album’s name from the headlines and Venus’ visible traverse of the sun on June 5. The title is fitting in more ways than one; as it is not only timely but with regards to the album in its entirety is (pardon the pun) out of this world.
In a number of ways Three Days Grace’s latest is both immensely loyal to the band’s coarse, high-energy style while also moving in some different directions which include some fascinating guitar rifts evident in their first single Chalk Outline...

Remember how I said that Killer Joe was the worst thing I'd seen at Tiff? I stand corrected. Just one film today and it was a doozy. The Moth Diaries, directed by Mary Harron. Harron is Canadian and directed the quite excellent American Psycho, so I decided to give this one a shot. Teenaged Rebecca is back at her all-female boarding school for her final year with her best friend Lucy. At least two years prior (the film isn't clear) her father committed suicide. There's a new girl at the school named Ernessa and slowly but surely she comes between Rebecca and Lucy. There's a lot of weird things about Ernessa and although Rebecca doesn't say it, she thinks Ernessa could be a vampire. Oh for fuck's sake. This film has every single teen movie cliche there is. 1) Teenaged girls are retarded and that's insulting to people who actually are mentally handicapped.

The sadness thickens since the group just revealed their video for the single, “Gorgeous Nightmare” and it only further sparked our craving to see Escape The Fate even more. Who doesn't love a good scavenger hunt? Here at Dread Central we certainly do, which is why we were happy to take part in Escape the Fate's idea of hiding photos of the Seven Deadly Sins over the web for fans to find in order to unlock the full video of their song "Gorgeous Nightmare". When they offered us that most disgusting of Sins, Gluttony, how could we refuse?
The video's directed by Robby Starbuck, and you can check out a teaser of it below. But first you'll want to poke around a bit on the site in order to find a link back to the Gluttony image. EscapeTheFate.com might have additional clues for you, and don't forget to keep track of the scavenger hunt's progress on the Escape the Fate Facebook page.

It's going to be a fun weekend at your local cinema this weekend, as many of this weekend's new releases are infused with a fundamental sense of fun. The comic book-based action comedy "Red" puts guns in the hands of Helen Mirren, Bruce Willis and John Malkovich, which makes that a clear winner. There's also the Hilary Swank vehicle "Conviction" (which is pretty heavy but does have a sense of uplift working for it) and the new Clint Eastwood film "Hereafter" (which doesn't seem like any fun at all but does star Matt Damon). But really, if you want some pure visceral joy this weekend, there's only one ticket to buy, and that ticket is "Jackass 3D."
The whole "Jackass" crew is back for a third theatrical film, this time with even crazier stunts and delivered with the magic of 3-D technology. Along the way, there is plenty of pain and deep hurting,...
